Using the LootLink browser
LootLink   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
LootLink is a browseable, searchable database of every item that you come across in game. The database is initially empty, but as you encounter and interact with item links, drops, quest items, vendors, the auction house, and other players' items, they are added to the database. In practice, I find that it doesn't take very long to build up a large collection of items.

It's then easy to search for interesting things in game. Want to find non-combat pets? Search for All text:summon and dismiss. How about epic leather armor with plus healing? Try: All text:healing, Rarity:Epic, Type:Armor, Armor subtype:Leather.

For users familiar with Lua's regular expression syntax, you can use a regular expression for the All text field if you hold ctrl while clicking Okay in the search box. If you want to find epic leather armor with at least +100 healing, you can modify the above example by using All text:healing done by up to 1.. and and holding ctrl while choosing Okay.

From the browser, you can shift-click items to add a link to that item into your chat edit box or ctrl-click them to try them on in the dressing room.

Display the browser by binding a key to it -- look for the LootLink Buttons keybinding section, which contains the Toggle LootLink binding -- or by typing /lootlink or /ll in a chat edit box. There are various other options accessible via chat commands; use /ll help for a list.

Feel free to provide feedback via this thread. Thanks!

Can you enable taint logging following this procedure and post the taint.log file that's generated? If so, I should be able to figure out what's going on pretty easily.

I can still get the feature to work fine with keybindings or console commands, but right-click, focus-related commands pops up an error saying that LootLink is the culprit. I'll get a screenshot next time I see it. It's pretty easy to duplicate, so I'll post back in a few.

EDIT: Here is the error I am talking about.

I do, screen blinks and comes back working fine.
Can you give me some more specifics on exactly what error you're seeing and what, if anything, you're doing at the time the error occurs?

Okay, this was totally my fault. LootLink was tainting the new INSCRIPTION global variable, which leads to taint of Blizzard's spell book frame tab code. I've fixed this and your pet skills should work correctly again.

One issue I've noticed, when I click any spell in my pet's spellbook (right- or left-click) I get the "LootLink has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI" popup.

Nice, looking forward to it, thanks!

Awesome, thank you. Any chance of a quick chat link addon? The one where you type [item of <tab> and it finishes it for you, right in the chat box?

LootLink doesn't call ToggleSpellAutocast -- I suspect that this taint message is due to another AddOn that you're running. If you want to follow the procedure in this thread to generate a taint.log file, I'd be happy to take a look at it to identify the source of the problem.

Fizzwidget's Linkerator will do that for you.
