Description

Rune-It-All adds more features and functionality to the default rune frame while still using the Blizzard code.
The goal of Rune-It-All is to be simple yet rich. I hope Rune-It-All provides you with the features you are looking for while maintaining a simple, unobtrusive, and painless feel.

Rune-It-All does the following:

* Allows you to scale the size of the runes
* Allows you to change the transparency in and out of combat
* Allows you to unlock and lock the runes so that you can move them around
* Has 5 unique layouts including: Vertical, Curved Up, Curved Down, Vertical Block, and Horizontal Block
* Has 7 unique art choices including: Beta Runes, DKI Runes, and Letter Runes, Japanese Runes, Orb Runes, Runica Runes, Beta-Enhanced Runes
* New! Allows you to move the runes individually
* New! Has custom cooldown text (includes several options along with it)
* New! Has option to show runes (when OOC - and useful when OOC alpha is less than 1) when you use a rune (e.g. Death and Decay OOC)
* New! Allows you to increase or decrease the spacing between runes ("padding") Note: only works for Vertical and Horizontal layouts
* New! Allows you to configure how the rune bar acts when you enter a Vehicle

* Options can be accessed by typing /ria, /runeitall or /rune-it-all

If you are using Pitbull:
Config. > Modules > Hide Blizzard frames > UNCHECK "Rune bar"
Config. > Modules > Runes > UNCHECK "Enable"

If you are using Shadowed UF:
/suf > General > Hide Blizzard Frames > UNCHECK "Hide Rune bar"
/suf > Units > Player > Bars > UNCHECK "Enable Rune bar"
/console reloadui

If you are using X-Perl:
/xperl > Player > UNCHECK "Show Runes"

I'm not sure if this will be included in your release, but i'd really appreciate the following;

When I have an active rune it should show in 1.0 alpha, and when i use that rune it should fade completely out.

One of your comments suggested this kind of functionally, but I just wanted to be clear.

Looking forward to the next release. All I want from a rune addon is the ability to individually place the runes and hide them out of combat (and maybe with no target selected), and this seems to be the only mod that will do that.

I'd like to also let you guys know that an Alpha option will also be available per request.

You will be able to choose what alpha you want in AND out of combat. :P (For your runes.)

If you forget what alpha is, it is the transparency of a frame from 0.0 (0%) to 1.0 (100%).

Update will be after I can test

Future Features: (easiness rating from 1 to 10)

1. Different rune arts. (3)
2. Configurable padding. (8)
3. Hide runes when having no target. (2)
4. Decrease alpha when rune is used. (10)

I am deeply sorry for holding this back for 3 months. I am glad to say, though, that I am pretty much finished. Because I took so long to update this I decided to put all the requested features inside.

The next update will be fully rewritten code.
  • Blizzard Options GUI
  • Unlock/Lock
  • Vertical/Horizontal
  • Drag just the 1st rune to keep them together / or drag each of them to make a special "design"
  • Configurable scale
  • Reset back to original placements

Thank you to everyone who has beared with me here.

The next update should be soon after release. I need some time to test it out and DKs are no longer available at the moment.

This is planned. I will eventually add scaling options. It will not be in the next update. I have finally fixed my computer and Beta issues so I can finally work on the next update again.

Just going to throw my .02 cents in...

lock command already being worked on that great it was on my list.

Also might be nice to add a way to scale the buttons. When I logged in they were at 1.5 and I wanted to keep them at 1 so I just edited the lua file. Different people might have different preferences.

Also I'd recommend putting the options in the blizzard addon ui config area. More mods are starting to do this these days.

Actually, I used your _RealName addon as my base FOR the Blizzard options. I am still working on it =( I have been very busy. Give me by the end of the week. I really promise this time.

Nice addon. One suggestion.

This looks like a nice addon. The only suggestion I would make is to put the options in a little interface kind of like I did with EWOlson_RealName. It is actually pretty easy to do and makes conditional checking very simple. (It's also extremely easy for the user. Hehe.)

Slakah: Sorry. I completely forgot to implement SavedVariables. I have almost finished with them and they will be up shortly.

rodrick: So far, the only way to drag it is to drag the left most rune (top if vertical). I will be adding a feature to lock all the runes.

Upcoming features:

-Individually movable
-Lock command (even the 1st rune)
-Revert back to original state (together in a line with the left most rune draggable)
