The ImmersionRP Add On originally written by Seagale, continued by Shannae. ImmersionRP is a FlagRSP2 and MyRolePlay compatible Add On, which provides the user with the ability to supply additional descriptive text about their character and to set an "RP Status" such as Roleplayer, In Character, and Looking For Contact. ImmersionRP keeps to a strict design philosophy of intuitive interface design and minimal complication.
This is a small bugfix release, with a client version upgrade.
Naes random tip for this build: Don't want the infobox popping up in the middle of your raid? Right click your unit frame, go to ImmersionRP, and Disable ImmersionRP Temporarily.
Next Up: More code optimization, peer-to-peer description transmission, and improved tooltip handling.
Currently Annoying Me: How to not cause errors with the drop down menu to set a focus, before Blizzard fixes the client so this works the way they tell us it should.
I accept (but do not respond to) direct emails sent to Shannae dot Darkehart at gmail dot com.
When I try to set focus on a character who is not in my group or raid via drop down menu an error occurs. Focussing via key binding not tested yet, will post result later here.

Hrm, I'll rope a guildie into helping me look into it.
Originally posted by Shannae As in it deletes the entire letter or that it seems to replace it with a normal I?

I make no promises as to when I'll get around to it.
Good attitude!
Please just promise to keep up the good work on IRP.

Also: A stand alone RP Mode Mod is on my To Do List. Like everything else on my To Do List, I make no promises as to when I'll get around to it.

I also have a suggestion: Is it possible to add a function that allows creating a personal emote when hiding/showing the helmet and cloak via the IRP menu? I'm thinking of the possibility to explain disappearing helmets or cloaks in character.
I've got an odd request. Is there any way you can make a stand alone add-on that just uses the UI clearing RP mode? I'd love a mod that allows me just to hide everything in my UI but the chat, but I'm no coder. >_<;

Also, for some reason every now and then this addon greys out my chatter window, or the text input frame, or both.
Additional customization options are in the for the next update along with the reworked tooltip handler. However, to display the suppressed information one need only check the boxes next to that item in the Options pane of the IRP configuration window.
As for "graying out" your chatwindow, I haven't been able to duplicate this error, as IRP doesn't modify the chatwindow. The closest it comes it anchoring the RP Mode button frame to the chatwindow frame. Please ensure that you have disabled all other UI modifications, and give precise directions for reproducing the undesired behaviour.

If not, could you please add this, because when i use the nUI, this button is right in front of one of nUI's buttons.
P.S.
Great addon, keep up this good work.
Greetings,
Darkillidan
type /irp moverpbutton
that makes the button moveable. type the same command again to lock it into position.

I should mention that I do absolutely adore that IRP is still being worked on though. I switched from using FlagRSP and MRP to IRP a while back and absolutely love it.
You can set focus simply by targeting someone (/target *name*) then by using whatever keybinding you have set for focus. Mine's ctrl-f. Or you can simply type /focus. You can then clear focus by doing /clearfocus. I've found as long as you don't actually using the dropdown menu to set focus things work fine (unless you're using Quartz which has some SERIOUS issues with focus)

Originally posted by iwantmyisland I'm working on developing a small unitframes addon, and I recently ran into a problem while getting my preliminary "Don't put things here" run. It seems that when I try and set focus on an NPC, player or mob, immersionRP blocks the action. Any idea what's going on with this?

This is why I and many others kindly request that the author do away with the current packaging and simply package the two folders as is. Pretty much the 'standard' packaging for mods means making it so the file can be uncompressed directly into the Addons folder and have it simply work.
Everything aside, if I haven't said it before I'll say it again: "I love this mod and thank you ever so much for taking it over!" [/b]
I'm working on the folder thing. The idea was to eventually have a good number of optional plug in mods for IRP, but community support has been lacking in that regard. My own development version (read: unstable and bugtastic version) currently only has one folder, so look forward to that soon.
And as always, thank you for the encouragement and feedback. <3
