ScrapBook (Retail)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.0.1.48
by: Ne0nguy [More]

About ScrapBook:

So you have hundreds if not thousands of hours on World of Warcraft right? Well what do you have to show for it? Sure your character may look pretty awesome, but that isn't very relevant if your trying to figure out what you got done last week.

ScrapBook is designed to take the most candid snapshots of your ongoing adventures in the World of Warcraft.
It takes a snapshots on specified intervals (defaulting to every 10 mins), leaving a watermark in the upper left and right corners with your characters name, realm, guild, rank, level, current xp, location, and a time stamp.

This works great if you set your Desktop or Lock screen background to a slideshow of your WoW screenshots folder. You will find lots of mid-combat shots of PvE, PvP, and Raids. Many of which are humorous or very cool looking at the least.

I am planning on implementing an option to make the timer countdown only while in combat, which should provide more action shots. However, the idea you suggested falls just outside the scope of what this addon is intented to do. You might suggest that idea to the maker of multishot and see if you can get that implemented in that one. If not, there are plenty of other screenshot addons out there. One of which, may do exactly that.

Fantastic Addon, but it usually misses the high points, any chance you could set up togglable SS for achievements, levels, and boss kills as well?

I currently Use Multishot for that, so it's no big deal. But it would be great to have it all in one addon. And you can't toggle Multishot so I end up with a lot of SS for bosses I've killed tons of times already.
I use multishot too, and the option I'd like most to see in it (or this one) is the ability to ONLY take ss of boss kills in raids or certain instances. In other words I'd like the ability to say which bosses I want to ss and which ones I don't.

ScrapBook was originally designed to take a screenshot every time you gained a bar of XP. When it did this I found, when I leveled it got the snapshot fine, however due to the way the game handles screenshots (with the pause) I was unable to see the eye candy for myself unless I went browsing though my screenshots folder.

Even though, it may be a little disappointing while playing, it does make a great screenshot. I will be adding this to my To-Do list for this addon for when I get the Options interface going.

Just fixed the timer issue that would make ScrapBook immediately take a snapshot when your AFK or Rested status changed.

As for the naming system, Blizzards API wont allow me to change it.
So (upon other things) I am working on an optional program that will be able to sort all the screenshots in a more friendly format.

I have the timer set to 30 mins. Thing is, if I sit in a city for 30 mins... I instantly get a shot once I step out. Anyway to pause the timer in a city? (I now am the proud owner of many a shot of me leaving org/dalaran) :P

Also I'm fairly sure it's not possible, but would there be anyway to change how the files are saved. With character name would be great ^_^

v0.8 now attempts to clear all ChatFrames if you have more than 2.
I have also added the ability to clear the ErrorFrame as well.
