I just wanted to thank you for editing this addon! You did such a beautiful job on it, exactly what i was looking for (I may change the color to purple though :P). Thank you, thank you, thank you! You really did an awesome job ! I loved what you did with the calendar button and normalizing the time. Thank you for your post and making your version available to download, that was really kind of you.

Thanks again fostic popcorn!

I know this addon has seemingly long been forgotten, but I am still an avid user and fan of it. For me, no other minimap addon comes anywhere near close to the style and functionality that this addon provides.

That being said, in case there are any others like me who still cling to this mod like a limpet to a rock (and to be honest I'm sure I'm just talking to myself ), I wanted to offer my updated version of this addon that, through the years, I've gone in and twiddled with in order to make it work and/or just to whimsically tailor it to my own quirks.

(Left: An alt with few addons enabled, Right: My main raiding toon with Skada damage meters and Raidwatch2 buttons)

[ Downloadable Here ]
(Note: Extract to INTERFACE folder, not ADDONS folder)

Changes:

* I changed the 24h clock to 12hrs as I'm a little derpy that way. This is easily changable back in the lua if so desired.

* At some point zooming in and out of the minimap using the mouse scroll button started throwing huge Lua errors. I simply commented that out of the addon as I personally didn't really use that functionality myself a lot. I just hit page up and page down if I want to zoom in or out. If needed I can try to find a fix instead of just getting rid of it.

* Icon Borders - those are not part of the LnS, I just wanted them to match the style of the minimap a bit more. They were created by Zyo.

And finally,

* The Calendar button! I was never really comfortable or happy with the way it looked in Fellrond's addition of it. (Sorry!) Initially I simply got rid of using GameTimeFrame:Hide(), and then narrowing down the black bar for the clock. If I really really wanted to look at the calendar, I just typed out /calendar. Naturally this led to me almost completely forgetting about its existance. After joining a raiding guild that actually used calendar invites however, that could no longer continue. I had to have that little stupid flashy thingy if I was being invited somewhere. So I figured I'd put the calendar button in the previously unused bottom right hand corner. But then I wasn't happy with how it didn't match the rest of the minimap, so nothing would do except I go skin it myself. The icon is Blizzard's property, I simply went in and cleaned it up in Photoshop and added a border.

I really hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes, but I truly could not live without this addon (Yes, I am a little eccentric about my UI) and I thought, maybe, if other people still liked the look of LnS, I could try to keep a working version out there. I am not a programmer or an addon author; I'm not really good at coding. I just go around and mess with other people's code and tinker with it to suit my own customizations. I really like this minimap addon, and have been using it for a while. But, I would like the clock to show server time. Anyone know how to do this?

I repositioned my minimap but the area where the map is by default can't be clicked through

might be something to look into for future versions

I have to say this addon its not friendly user as not everyone knows how to change lua settings..
It's doesn't require relogin.
Just type /rl in chat when you changed and saved file.
