Helium 2.1.1 - Bug fixes

Helium 2.1 - Update to WOW 7.2
- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

Bartender is a bit too limited for me with only 10 bars with 12 buttons each :/ And it's extremely clunky and lacking functions I use ion for button skinning with masque, free 'unlimited' button placement and hiding the blizzard button frame (naturally)

Been using this addon and it's predecessors since burning crusade, so it's hard to abandon it's few features i use it for, even though it has become very bloated and heavy since it turned to Ion i think bene having performance issues all WoD with ion active, but never this severe.

/Holo
Part of the reason why ION uses up so much memory is that it builds all the bars and buttons from scratch. Bartender and most the other bar addons reuse the default game buttons which means that they can get information about the button directly from the game, this is also why a those addons are limited to a set number of buttons. While previous incarnations of ION (Trinity Bars, Macacroon) did make use of some of the default buttons, the current version creates a new macro for each button and therefore needs a more overhead to monitor everything (spell range, cool downs, charges, ect). It may be possible to reduce the memory used, that is a long term project which is on my list of things to do. I did not originally write ION so I'm learning as I go and doing what I can with my limited free time.

ION does not interact with the game cache or tooltips, so I doubt it is the cause. Looking at the battle.net boards it appears to be an issue with the game itself.

Well I've tested multiple times now with only Ion enabled and it keeps happening consistently. With Ion disabled and only using other addons I have no issues.

Currently the system does not store what spec you are actually in, just weather the game says your are in the primary or secondary spec. So your bars may not actually line up. The Beta branch can be found at:

If you find bugs or things that need to be updated feel free to post here or make a bug report. If you do make a bug report select "Misc" for the interface selection as while I'm able to make updates to Ion WoWInterface does not give me the option to get bugs for it.

Cheers.
Is this working for Legion now? The game isn't seeing it for some reason.

Edit: I didn't have the folders in the right place =) It's mostly working but I'm getting an error over the Draenor ability bar from time to time.

Both. I later deleted the stance bar (I think it's kinda pointless) and the error stopped happening. I'm guessing this error is happening because paladins don't have stances any more so they shouldn't even be able to have a stance bar. Also to clarify it's just a Lua error when logging in, nothing after that. And Lua errors are disabled by default.

I'm not seeing this issue. This is with the settings that show up in the default game interface window correct? Are you using any other addons and if so can you see if it still happens with the others disabled. It could be an issue that there is a newer version of the library files used being loaded by another addon and will help me narrow down the issue.
This bug is super minor, it might not even be worth fixing. It only happens when you try to open the settings window while it is already open, and only the list of categories disappear. You can get them back by closing and re-opening the window. Seriously, this bug is not a big deal. Not even sure why I listed it.

It appears that this may be a Blizzard issue. It looks as if the SetCursor command does not entirely work with the new numeric icon id's that they switched to. Hopefully it will get fixed on their end, but I'm looking for a work arround in the mean time.
If you can't make it work, at least keep the regular cursor while dragging. It's a little annoying when it's completely invisible.

Edit: spelling.

Getting the following error when logging in. Really appreciate the continuous efforts to make Ion the fantastic addon that it is!

Small request though, that may be a massive undertaking; any thoughts on performance? All the Registered Events and the OnUpdates on each and every button and their handlers does tax the system somewhat.

Happy bugcrushing!

Here's all the bugs I've found so far:

- The Garrison Ability button/bar is a bit broken. It is always permanently there and you can't drag the button to your bars. Thankfully you can hide the bar though so it's not a huge deal.

- If you try to open the Ion settings while the window is already open (for example by shift-clicking the red orb multiple times) the panel will break and the categories disappear.

- The Stance bar is throwing a Lua error on login for Paladins (who no longer have stances in 7.0)

- The search bar when selecting a macro icon doesn't work at all

- Setting a custom icon for macros that have a spell icon doesn't work (this bug is present in the WoD version too, nothing new)

- The mouse cursor disappears when dragging buttons that don't have a specific user set icon (so almost all abilities)
Thanks for the list of issues. The first few shouldn't be to difficult to fix. The icons may be a bit more problematic. The game used to give the icon file name with the icon info, but now it appears that it only gives an icon id number. I need to find out if there is still a way to get the coresponding file names to get the search working again. Custom icons for spells is a bit hard as Ion over writes it with the icon it has stored in its spell database, I'll need to figure a way to be able to ignore the default icon that does not cause issues else where.

EDIT to add:

" The Stance bar is throwing a Lua error on login for Paladins (who no longer have stances in 7.0)"
