Yes, It works fine from the curseforge site though. So must be something on Curse site.
Tried to upload a repost of the file but it just said the file has been uploaded and not to upload the same file more than once.


EDIT: Added an empty text file to the zip and tried again, seemed to get it sent. Not sure when it will be accessible though.
Edit2: nope, failed. But Maul will fix it when curse fixes their problem.

Curse is delivering an empty Macaroon file when we download it manually, and with the client it just gives an unzipping error, and they don't seem to be responding to the problem. Ya might wanna give em a kick in the nads to get em started......... jus sayin.

how to match a physical keyboard layout with macaroon

Hello All,

First, I would like to thanks Maul and all the community users for the quality of the information we can get on this comments pages. Thanks to all for bringing Macaroon to life.

I'm usually a hidden reader, but for once, I would like to discuss about how to add a feature into macaroon for this purpose :
how to match a physical keyboard layout with macaroon

This subject will be (I hope at least) of a high interest for speedpad users (logitech G13, belkin n52te, ...) that want to get a bar that match the physical layout of their speedpad.
The issue is that with macaroon, a bar is linear, circle, and nothing else.
What we would need is to :
1 - add spaces between some buttons
2 - get a different number of columns on different rows.

To reach this goal, I written a small piece of code that should not break macaroon usage (at least it does not appears to) that I pray to get integrated into macaroon.

Maul, if this is not possible, does there is a way to create an external addon that would add this feature into macaroon core at runtime ? (I'm pretty sure this is possible, but I'm pretty new to lua xD)

For now, the files to change are :

Now, for the fun part, run Wow and connect to the character you want to customize.

type /mac config, and then right click on the bar you want to change.

In the shape section, choose matrix (4th choice) and set the number of buttons accordingly.

Now, quit wow. This is a really important step to ensure that the settings placeholder is written.

After this feel free to open

locate the profile you want to edit, and jump to the line containing "Matrix"

you should find something like this. This is the place to edit settings until someone find a convenient way to do it from wow xD

Opps. A change I forgot to list. On companion flyouts, to be more consistent in special considerations, you need to use #critter or #mount as keys. If you do not declare one of these keys for companion scanning, the flyout will scan both types. The reason your flyout is not working is that now the flyout code is searching for "critter" as a key in the companion itself.

Flyouts borked in latest patch/update?

For some reason, my critter (non-combat pet) flyout macro doesn't work anymore.

/flyout companion:critter:linear:BOTTOMLEFT:RIGHT:2:click

EDIT: Also not working with mounts, as well.

I also have tukui in stall but cant get remove it with tukui any ideas?

I haven't tried this myself but, perhaps it works on an ActionID button. Other than that.. there has to be a macro one can make to swap to a specific gear set in equipment manager. Probably says somewhere on WoWWiki.

For the part of the lost macro, I usually get the same, this is due to the fact that you have to SAVE the profile after any changes (in fact, before the profile loading).

If I well understood, Macaroon uses currently 3 profiles for your character :

A - spec 1.
B - spec 2.
C - current profile loaded.

So, when you change any setting, this is the C (current profile) that is changed.

But, when you switch your spec, A or B get loaded and replace the content of the C profile.

To be clear, this makes sense in a certain way, but makes me crazy as I spend all my time to change buttons and forgetting them (I have to many toons, and too many bars... xD).

Maul, if you can one day add a setting to ensure that all changes to the current profile are saved on the corresponding profile for spec changes, this would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wonderfull, no more hasle to hit this save profile button / macro xD

EDIT : there is also an enhancement request for this feature Autosave current profile

Question Equipment and macro issue

This is by far one of the most comprehensive, best over all ad dons I have come across in almost 6 years of WOW play. So I am pretty sure this issue is not a bug but something I cannot figure out. Sometimes when I try to place macros on my bars using macaroon they do not show up. Or disappear when I switch specs. Also I cannot figure out how to put Equipment Manager Profile buttons on a macaroon Bar. I can do so under Blizz ui without Macaroon loaded, but who wants to play using Blizz when we have macaroon?

This is a bug on Blizzard's end when they ***tried*** to fix these spells for the macro system. Even a Blizzard macro on a Blizzard button behaves the same. This affects priest Holy Word: Chastise as well with the Chakra system. The partial good news is that this "fix" did seem to fix hunter traps in macros.

Macaroon actually had a bit of a work-a-round for Sunfire and Chastise, but this last patch broke it.

In that situation, it will still make that button always prioritized reguardless wouldn't it, because with all the pages keybound the same say, it would seem that no matter what stance I'm in, the prioritized button will be activated, or is there a way to conditionalize the priority, depending on the state?

It isn't showing me the tooltip, it does the abilities as they are supposed to, but no toolip, but when I copy that macro from macaroon onto blizz's macros and then drag the button to macaroon actionbars its shows the tooltip and all. Also on the button that is dragged down form blizz shows the CD and the 1 build in macaroon doesn't, hopefully this helps to understand the issue above.
I can only answer why the CD shows on a blizz made Macro Button I don't know why a Macaroon Macro Button can't seem to update the tooltip when other conditions are true.

Why the CD shows is because the blizzard Macro Button gets situated to an actionID# and is handled by blizzard and you got CDs shown on Blizzard Buttons in general. A Macaroon Macro Button however is not situated to an ActionID button and doesn't get handled by the blizzard gui, it just sends the macro as if you should have typed it in to the chat frame. So even though Blizzard handles the actual macro on both buttons Macaroon handles the actual button on a Macaroon Macro button but not the blizzard one.

I had an issue some weeks ago, or so, where I tried out some things on my druid. Suddenly some of my Macaroon buttons returned a ?. I looked around on the buttons and found that the buttons that were changed was buttons where I had dragged the spell from the spell book and gotten #autowrite <macro> in them.. they had shifted from
/cast <spell>() to /cast <spell>(autowrite) which rendered them unusable as there were no (autowrite) criteria for the spell.
I changed all buttons back to /cast <spell>() and it worked fine.

Perhaps it has something to do with this?
