I'm trying to make a bar exactly like blizzards default main bar.. so I have a paged bars mapped to the proper actions IDs and stanced bars for stealth/shadowdance... then I'm going to need to make it for my druid/spriest too with all those forms mapping to paged bars with the proper action IDs too
when I create bar 3 for stealth and map it to stealth it doesn't come up during stealth though as I wrote below

You want to have a paged stance bar that reacts to combat?
Then basically you need to go about it the opposite way. You make a bar that reacts to combat then a stance bar then the paged bars. Link the paged bars to the different stances and link the stance bar to the combat state. This should have the paged bars show when their linked stance is triggered and since the stance bar only activates when in combat so should the paged bars.

If, however, this should not be the case then link the combat bar to the stance bar instead. This will require two additional combat bars though one for each stance.

The workhore bars is not new at all, it is listed in the FAQ under I like to make really really really complex bars.
(well something like that)

Basically you make one bar act on another bars different states.
so you set up a stance bar then link a paged bar to that stance bars first stance and you got pages for the first stance. make another paged bar for the second stance and again for the third and you got yourself a stancebar with pages. Only that it's 4 bars where you'll need to put the 3 page bars on top of each other to simulate one bar.

Ah, I see. Well, easy way or not, it sure should be possible since there is a difference.

Depending on how Maul's written it it should be a piece of cake to fix. Do report it in the bug section though.

the workhorse has been around for, well, as long as i've used macaroon, and that seems like ages now.

here is a link to the page that explains how they work (it might be out of date, now, but if so, it should just take a little experimenting to figure out how it works now):

http://www.wowinterface.com/portal.php?id=221&a=faq&faqid=361

[edit] then again, that page looks a lot different than i remember, so maybe it has been updated, idk. [/edit]

I'm not that good at the custom states configuration but I could probably help you set up a workhorse bar relation.

About the "Autohide:Modkey"
Maul have the code for it and is going to implement the ability to do what I set up for you in 3.x However since Maul is going over the code for autohide and alpha (he has 2 different codes for that atm) he didn't want to put it in there just yet until he sort of merged the codes together.
I could however pretty simply update my fan version until that time. Done.

I thought the Aura watch text and highlight worked on target.
I believe I've seen it work for me at least:
Have target selected: show buff timer and highlight for my buffs on target.
No target selected: show buff timer and highlights for my buffs on me.

Not sure if mouse over ever have worked but I have never needed it. besides.. making it work I believe will require more CPU since it'd require to rescan all variables for a button on mouse over change which happens almost all the time.

This action damages the Macaroon saved variables. For my dualspec bars, it will invariably delete all of the buttons on wheatever bar happens to be the current alt-spec. So if i try to login and i'm in spec:2, it will delete all of the buttons on spec:1. The bars and layout will remain, but all of the macros will be gone.

Again, this is only when i try to login, but am immediately kicked back out, due to network issues. But it's happened a few times in the last 2 weeks.
I would believe that the toon getting logged out before the world appears on your screen makes macaroon load incompletely and then gets logged out before it has managed to populate the alternative states buttons with the macros. But as it is logging out is saves the variables of the buttons thus making them blank.

As long as you have saved your bars in a profile with button data you should be able to reload that profile and go on playing when you manage to get logged in properly.

I realize there are a number of bugs that are still being worked out, and I imagine this might be on the list of "known problems". Just the same, I wanted to make a small post about it.

I am a huge fan of Macaroon and have been since the beginning. I hope it never goes away.
I've been hearing about similar problems please do check the bug list and see if there is a bug report on it, if not create one and if there is put in your comments and thoughts. You never know, it might help.

I tried to set it up but I guess at least that I could find there is no way to combine paged and stanced? any help would be greatly appreciated

and another question I know Dwargh was nice enough to make this before and thank you Dwargh but is it built into this version where I can assign alpha per state? so i can have a bar either custom or not I'm not really picky but say I have alt and ctrl modifiers, while nothing is pushed the bar will be hidden and when I press alt I can see the bar or when I press control I can see the bar?

also is it possible to have the aura watch highlight work on target or mouse over? if i have my buffs on there i want to know if its on somebody else not me lol... when i have them as target anyway when no target me it should be

EDIT: I figured it out, for each spell you have to put the ~ before it also the + isn't needed.
Just a tip, You don't need to put the full name of each spell either.
/flyout spell:shield:linear:right:left:6:click

is enough to make a flyout of every spell you got with shield in its name. if there is any shield you don't want in that flyout for example Earth Shield you just add !earth to the keys. the ! tells the flyout to not include any spell with "earth" in it.

About the Blizzad macro being dragged to a Macaroon Macro Button.

Macaroon have always converted its button from macro state to an actionID state when dragging a Blizzard macro onto it. It does not copy the Blizzard macro into a Macaroon Macro Button. This might be something Maul will implement in the future but as I've understood it's a bit tricky with the coding and fixing other things that should work gets priority to a new feature.

Why it have seemed to have functioned before and are messing up now could however be a bug. I theorize that when you drag a Blizzard macro onto a Macaroon Macro Button Macaroon converts the button to an actionID button as always, but.. it converts it to the ID# last edited in Macaroon so first you drag a Blizzard Macro to an Macaroon ActionID Button then another to a Macaroon Macro Button. Try doing it the other way around if you wish to try my theory. Otherwise, if you're planning on dragging a Blizzard Macro to a Macaroon Button, make sure it's an ActionID button first.
