Ion Action Bars  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: Lithium 3.1.2a
by: Maul, Jrosk, SLOKnightfall

Introducing Ion - Version 3 "Lithium"

Ion is a macro-based action bar addon. It can stand on its own or supplement any other action bar addon or even the default Blizzard UI.

Modules:
Ion comes with 4 modules that can be used for a full featured action bar experience. These modules are optional, but it is highly recommended that they be used for the best experience.

Features:
  • Ion features an unlimited number of macros. You can create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!
  • Are you a keybinder extreme? Use the button storage area for all your macros/keybindings! No buttons on screen needed!
  • Are you a clicker extraordinaire? As many buttons on the screen you want where you want, when you want!
  • Macros the size of Texas! Up to 1024 characters in length!
  • Maul's unique mouse-over key-binding system - where the mouse-over binding system was born!
  • Many other of the favorite desired bar addon features and then some!
  • And, importantly, MASQUE support!

Graphical Editor:
Ion contains a graphical bar editor that allows for a nearly endless customization of bar shape, size, orientation, etc, that has neither limitations on max number of bars nor the number of buttons per bar. Further all of the options found in the graphical bar editor can also be set using the below command structure:

Commands:
Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar

Lithium 3.0 - Update to WoW 7.3
-Bug fixes
-FAQ rework
-PlaySound fix

Helium 2.1.1 - Bug fixes

Helium 2.1 - Update to WOW 7.2
- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

Basically as a druid with a state bar if you enter combat as caster and change to cat and use the hotkeys it uses the skills from the caster form bar instead of the cat form bar, making you get out of cat form to cast them.
You could try just using a plain macro for the skills, instead of a state bar.

Example:

Code:
#showtooltip
/cast [stance:3] Mangle
/stopmacro [stance:3]
/cast Wrath
Edit I guess I should explain. For druids, stance:3 is cat form. stance:1 should be bear form. I don't remember what stance moonkin is. It's either 4 or 5. Interestingly, tree form and moonkin form used to share the same stance number in WotLK, but I don't know if that's the case anymore with how tree form works. Enough rambling...

You could technically throw all your form skills into one macro and have various "stopmacro" sections based on the stance number so the macro doesn't continue to read. That way, when you turn into cat or bear form the bar won't even know there are other skills further down the list.

Example:

Code:
#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Mangle(Bear Form)
/stopmacro [stance:1]
/cast [stance:3] Mangle(Cat Form)
/stopmacro [stance:3]
/cast Wrath
For an example like that you could also combine things a little more:

Code:
#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Mangle(Bear Form); [stance:3] Mangle(Cat Form)
/stopmacro [stance:1] [stance:3]
/cast Wrath
Whatever you think feels more clean.

Right, the number of pages differs from person to person.. almost as it's a setting to show # number of posts per page.
And I would still have to read the different posts on the page to know if what I'm looking for is further back or not. But basically, if you want to sift thrugh it all just take any info about setting up a bar, with stances and whatnot, and don't forget the custom states.

But it's spread out since dawn of Macaroon and the first comments.. till now. So it's a wide spectrum of posts to go through to get to points where I can say.. one of the comments in these 20 pages is a good-to-know thing about Macaroon.

I guess what I'm trying to say is basically: If one should try to salvage the info I'm referring to it should probably be me.

though I don't have the time on my hands atm.

I am sure the forum will be just as good though. :-)

I will most likely have the comments section closed down for all Macaroon addons so as to keep issues better organized via threads

Thank you very much, now I can continue building my UI.
In my opinion, it would have been nice to say it now requires external addon to do such style changes and remove outdated screenshot which no longer were true to this addon.
Back in the good ol' days styles were included in this addon.

I had a 1 year break and tons of awesome addons had gone broken and unsupported : / while smaller amount of new ones arrived.

when i have macaroon installed i dont see any possibility to dismount that wagon.

i have a working possession bar, pet bar, vehicle bar and i have enable blizz vehicle bar ticked but none of those gives me any way to get of the wagon.

if i log out i get dismounted so i know how to get of it by logging out.

if i disable macaroon and get on the wagon i get a small leave vehicle arrow close to where my priests shadow form button is by default.

so my question is what do i need to do to be able to leave the wagon with macaroon enabled.

thx Glowie
You could use the default Blizzard keybind: Numpad 5

or you change or add a button to one of the listed Macaroon macros here:

#macaroon-vehicleup
#macaroon-vehicledown

#macaroon-vehicleleave
#macaroon-possessaction
#macaroon-possesscancel

Good that it works again, weird that it didn't work on pilgrim for you since it did for me.
