/me crys

Per button? that could take FOREVERS (whiney kid stomp)

Thanks though. Any chance of it returning to a per bar/global option?

Are you planning to reimpliment the alpha cooldowns / cooldown text timers? Or is the feature hidden somewhere.

Thank you. The answer is "No you're not missing something these arent what those options do". And sure, I'd be happy to put those in a feature request but I'm not assuming you'd get to them. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything obvious.

Regards, Raederle

Interesting bug my wife just had when wanting to turn off the blizzard vehicle bar.

Get on vehicle, and the blizzard bar shows up, disable the blizzard bar in macaroon main menu and it is still there, dismount vehicle and the bar still stays on screen.

Was fixed by mounting vehicle again, re-enabling the bar in main menu, dismounting, then disabling the bar.

And yes, the new Totem Bar works fine after i realized I the name was different and I got rid of the old MultiCastBar.

Re: Hunter Traps

Hope i'm not duplicating. i've been reading most the posts for several days, but have not seen any comments about Hunter Traps.

I want to make a Flyout for my Traps. When i enter the search key Trap, I get 10 options, the 5 traps and in between each is a Blank ?. But none of them work. You always get a "That is not ready" error message. Now even just dragging a trap to a button marked Macro gives the same message.

I'm able to use my traps by place them on ITEMID buttons. Does anyone have a solution for this? I might just be doing something wrong... THX

LOVE the update Maul!
As Dwargh pointed out, there is an issue on Blizzard's side with certain spells in macro from including hunter traps, be it Macaroon or Blizzard's on macros.

As for creating a good set of keys to get the right spells, that will have to wait for 1) Someone else figuring it out 2) When we get the flyout guide done. I did not foresee so many people flocking to the idea of the flyouts since I have had the option available for a long time via a supplemental addon. However, with Blizzard adding their own and issues with addons like AutoBar and 4.0, I suppose the demand is high

Re: Count (combo points, holy power, shards, etc)

I am playing with the buttons, trying to see if I can make a button to show my holy power or shard count. The aura watch text and aura watch highlight seem promising but i'm not quite sure what they do as options. I do recall that at one point it was possible to get the combo point text on a button for a skill that used combo points.

I've seen you're still swamped with no time for documentation. Apologies but will ask here in the hopes the answer is an easy one.

Thank you!

PS - As long as I'm pestering, is there any way to copy a bar from one toon to the next? I'm about to dive into the floater bars and I don't want to have to build the consumables bar 20 times for 20 toons. Understood if it's too complex, hoping it's not.
You will want to add these to feature requests. Now that several classes have their own form of "combo" points this is certainly doable. As for copying a single bar this is something I have thought about doing, but I would highly suggest adding it to the feature requests so that I am reminded that someone is looking for that feature.

Re: Pet / Possess Bar

This is a known issue that I am fairly sure is new to Cataclysm. It seems that the check for pet existence comes after the possess state triggers and so the bar goes to the "no pet" state. Currently, the best thing to do is keep the bars separate and perhaps stacked on top of each other for now until I get it sorted out.

I've been using this back from the Trinity days and pet/possess has always been the one area of functionality that I thought never has worked well in Macaroon but otherwise it kicks ass!
I've never had issues with pets, but I agree on the possess/vehicle thing and this was really due to a lack of macro options on Blizzard's side. The last live version of Macaroon in 3.x was posted a patch or so before a new macro conditional was added [vehicleui]. Prior to this, I really had problems getting those states working correctly. Now the possess/vehicle states work fairly well but not so well on a bar with "pet" active lol

I do plan on review the state code again to see if I can get this right.

so i guess its better to use the bar option instead of the profile one, if you only change 1 bar when respec? so i dont keep a full duplicate of all buttons... just the ones on that single bar? thanks

EDIT: i guess jzar already answered this question:

That's how I used to do it too. The easiest way to fix this is disable profile switching on spec change. The buttons themselves in a single profile will remember assigned spells for both specs automatically, and you'll almost never have to deal with profiles again.
thanks

I probably wouldn't quit the game if a few select people stopped updating their mods (you, Tekkub, Shadowed, Aezey) but ... I'm a programmer myself, and more than my toons themselves (which are just like every other high-level toon of the same class) my UI is where I really pour my heart into this game. Macaroon is such an integral part of my UI because it is so flexible, and I'm ecstatic to see all the changes that have been released recently. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Oh, and see new bug report from me in ticket tracker.
I wasn't really leaving Macaroon, but I did update the license so that if anyone wanted to create a "clone" of it they could. At the time I just had no time to dedicate to it as the addon demanded (and still demands!). I was indeed also limited on my WoW time at the time. I think the comment I made before I posted the last live update for WoW 3.x got buried but I did state it was to most likely be the last one before Cataclysm and that I would most likely be back to update Macaroon for Cataclysm. I just has other priorities at the time. And there was no announcement, once I got my beta key I just started posting my intention to update it for Cataclysm

And from the bottom of my heart I truly appreciate the thanks

This is a known problem than unfortunately lies with Blizzard and their macro interpretation (or something like that), Same thing happens with Blizzard Macros. But yes.. it does work in ActionID buttons cos they work just like the Blizzard action bars.

Almost true, I'm not sure the bars is set to change upon spec swap by default, but the option to have them do so is there.
