Features -

  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!

  • Every button in Ion is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.

Commands - Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
  • shape: Change current bar's shape
  • name: Change current bar's name
  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'

- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

Any knows all Custom States for macaroon bars? I need a FAQ. I can make a bar works at the last boss encounter in DTK.

Well i'm using icons that aren't related to any spells of mine, so i can't use #show SpellName. I searched about what you said in your edit, but i can't find anything on that :x

in the custom state panel you put something like this:

[mod:shift]
In basic, you can put all common macro conditionals in there, even more than one at a time, especially useful for stance-using classes such as warrior, druid and rogues.

The code above is very basic, it will basically create 2 states on the bar, ech one may have different number of buttons, different layout a.s.o. but they are automatically linked and can be referred to as one single bar, also the keybindings will stick on the buttons starting from the first button to the last (bind order is preserved, as are lock but not priority, not coompletely sure about that.).

BTW, Anseloth, BB code works fine, you can simply put code into the text body like this:


[ c o d e]write some code[ / c o d e ]

ofc without the spaces. you may also include the cody type, i.e. [ c o d e = l u a ] lua code in here [ / c o d e ] if it is supportet the syntax will be highlighted.

uh, i tried looking at the website you linked, and all it is showing me is a page saying that my computer cannot connect the server for your page.

i don't seem to be having problems connecting to any other websites (i checked wowhead.com, thottbot.com, the armory, and of obviously i am not having issues connecting to wowinterface. i'd keep listing sites i am currently connected to, but i think the point has been made.

2. there was a problem with WIM before? caused double item links pasted in? was that to do with a part of macaroon? i think?
there is some kind of conflict between Macaroon: Extensions and www.wimadd.com whenever u paste a item link in wim two show... disable/uninstall extensions fixes it

well, lets see the code you used for the custom state, i guess. it might be simply that it is only working part of the time.

also, any other code that you are using would be good to show us, too. IE, any macros you are using in the bar, and so on.

just don't forget to use the code tags in the "post comment" controls. it looks like a white or maybe really really light tan circle, with a # sign on top of it. just hit that button, and past your code in between the first "]" and the second "[" in the text that appears.

my apologies if you already know how to use the code tags, i thought i might as well explain how to use the code tags in the post, since it looks like a few people in this thread might not know that info yet. but no, i am not pointing fingers, i haven't exactly been keeping very close track of who said what anyway.

you probably just have something mapped to shift-3 (the normal 3 key, not the NUM3 key), if numlock is on, or if numlock is off, then it would likely be mapped to shift-page down (the one above the arrow keys, should be with the home, end ins, del, and page up keys).

Well, as strange as it seems, key-binding it to a mouse button worked using the shift modifier, and changing shift to ctrl made it work for NUM3. Any logic to this madness?

two things i would suggest trying: first, try assigning it to a non-number pad key (such as, if the normal number keys are out of the question, the period, comma, right or left square brackets, semicolon, or the apostrophe), or, you could try using a different modifier. there are two others that i know of, those being:

Modifiers in macro's.

I know this is an issue that has been talked about in some great length before, but a lack of a file comment search feature and unwillingness to scroll through 100+ pages leave me to ask the question again.

When creating a (Macaroon) macro, using a modifier conditional such as:

2nd problem is with my pet bar for some reason it keeps moving under other bars when i log out so i have to go to the edit mode and that makes it jump to the right position again. should i remove the saved variables and totally rebuild macaroon??? or are these know issues?
you can change the strata of bars to change the z position of windows... ie which bars are above below other bars

this also happens when switching specs, with auto switch spec enabled... could do without... or idk... i guess it's just listing bars its loading? maybe do it on one line? or
