Features -

  • Every button in Macaroon is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.
Commands -
  • Type /ion to display a list of available commands, which are:
menu: Toggle the main menu
storage: Open the button storage area
create: Create a blank bar
delete: Delete the currently selected bar
config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
shape: Change current bar's shape
name: Change current bar's name
strata: Change current bar's frame strata
alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally
showgrid: Toggle the current bar's showgrid flag
x: Change current bar's horizontal axis position
y: Change current bar's vertical axis position
state: Toggle states for the current bar (/mac state <state>). Type /mac statelist for vaild states
statelist: Print a list of valid states
load: Load a profile
lock: Lock buttons

doesn't work with control bar. i made a macro for it, have no idea if it works as he hasn't hit me with the hammer since the first time.

My guess is that it should be the same as the control bar. Unless you already have one such and it doesn't do the trick.

Hammer of The Righteous

Forgive me if this has been answered by more experienced users, but I have not been able to find a post that examines this one issue.

As we all know, when fighting Eadric the Pure, he cast Hammer of Righteous on anyone in the party. If the stun is broke, then the afflicted member can throw the hammer back.

I've seen this in action on my wife's screen (she doesn't use macaroon) and it appears that bars change stances when the ability becomes active that allows the player to throw the hammer back.

So my question is, which option would I select in bar options to get my bar to change so that I can throw the hammer back?

I'm thinking it's some kind of stance change, but I can't seem to figure out how to test it.

Macaroon macros can only be executed from a Macaroon macro button. So you would have to make a Macaroon macro button for every macro you want to have after using up all the Blizz ones.
Short answer: No, you can't make macros in Macaroon and put them on Bartender4 buttons.

I never understood why Bliz chose to limit the number of macros per toon but gives you so many more general ones.... it seems backward to me.

ok I know Macaroon is a macro/actionbar addon but it is possible to use it as only a macro addon because I use bartender4 but don't want to change away from it. I want to use this addon as a macro addon because I got into hitti ng max limit of macros on all my toons and I want to increase the maximum allowed amount of macros

I'm using AutoBar (newest beta version) at the moment. As compared to Macaroon, it's got its high points and its low points.

And yeah...give Maul a break. He's probably a busy man.

personally, i think that Maul might be currently working the mod, but isn't willing to speak or anything until he has it up to his usual standards.

and given the fact that the patch is still rather new to the live WoW servers, i would imagine that he might be having problems with, among other things, getting part of the code that connects the game's code to the mod's code working as well as it once was.

add in all the suggestions for ways to improve Macaroon that are no doubt pouring in, as well as RL stuff like maybe a job, and /or school of some grade or another, and i don't think i'd have time to keep people posted either.

i think he only has time to post here at times like, for example, when he has a vacation from school and/or work, and i know i wouldn't want to spend most of a vacation on work, even if that work was writing a mod.

and, please, don't take this the wrong way, but, but i think you could have been a little less offensive to Maul, while still getting the same message across.

what i am trying to say is, lets not even start going towards turning this thread for this great mod into a flame war thread, ok everyone?

I'm hoping this gets updated soon. I was running Macaroon for the purpose of having a few extra bars, but it seems to have compatibility issues with Dominos now.

Totem bar

Totem Timers Beta does it too. Totem timers lets you hide the blizzard timer which I personally found annoying.

I used both and personally liked Totem Timer beta.

in raids, I keep encountering a bug with macaroon: the whole addon will "break", and then my game will run really slow, like as if it's <10FPS, and I can not use any spells or anything from my macaroon bars, the only way to fix it is /reloadui, which unfortunately does not help in the middle of a boss fight..

also why am I unable to delete macro's from the "macro editor" pressing the delete button does nothing whatsoever.

For those looking for the new totem bar functionality, I found a mod for only the totem bar that may help bridge the gap:

I was beginning to sadly look for a new bar mod because I had no idea if I should hope for a Macaroon update anytime soon, but finding this small mod for just the new totem bar has forestalled that. The mod is VERY limited, but at least it puts the totem bar back on the screen and lets you scale it or move it.

It will be enough to hold me over until when or if Maul can get some totem bar support into Macaroon.
