I know maintaining your addons is a big job Maul, I don't know how you can afford to do all you do. We all love ya for it, though! You know as well as we all do that this is the best action bar mod out there! (And Jobber's looking pretty darn nice, too!)
Yes I am working on this.

I am, however, catching up on some WoW play time

Since 3.1 itself hit, I had not played the game much. I am spending some time working on issues....just not all of my WoW time right now

to lock bindings, simply go into bind edit mode, and left click on the buttons you want to lock.

if you're only using one profile per character with dual spec enabled, that is probably the culprit for your abilities not setting right. so when you change spec, (and this is what blizz interface does also) it gives you a blank or semi blank "workspace" where you'd set up your second spec.

suggest making a profile per talent spec, ie
charactername arms
charactername prot

and you don't have to start a profile from scratch. be in your preferred spec and make sure your profile is saved. swap spec so you have your new abilities available, then simply type in the name of your new profile and save that.

if you do that with dual spec enabled on the mac interface, it will swap between complete bar sets for you. as always save your profiles whenever you make a change and back up your wtf folder (copy/paste in another folder) in your computer so you have good versions of your preferences for all your mods saved if something goes wonky.

if they're in your spellbook and it's a spec only ability, the binds seem to drop as there's nothing there for them to attach to. i fixed this per profile for myself by making a hidden bar with those abilities/bindings on them. could also use the new storage area for that too.

The things thats odd is so far only got dual spec on 2 chars, my warrior and my dp, my warrior does not have this problem, my warrior does have a problem with it refreshing the abilities on the bars on spec switch however, have to drag on ability off the bar and put it back into the bar to refresh it.

This problem with losing bindings is only effecting my DK.

Hello,
I seem having an issue with bars assigned NOT to change with dual spec still change. This happens only with bars that HAD dual spec enabled previously.

So far for me, all of the buttons populate on my pet bar and I have to change the bar state manually from "No Pet" to "Pet". I don't care though, because at least they're working. =)

The reason for the control bar, instead of having a "Pet", "Possess", and "Vehicle" bar, is that apparently Blizzard does not send enough information to determine the difference between "Possess" and "Vehicle", so you end up having three bars: "Possess", "Vehicle" and "Control".

I make my main bar into buttoned posses (now also vehicle), because those are the buttons I want to be replaced with the new ones. Most of my other bars also have buttonless posses|vehicle states as well, so they go away.

It through me for a sec when I logged in and tested a vehicle (more of a mount) and nothing happened, then I noticed the new vehicle state as well as posses. and I got the Up Down and exit buttons on there. Nice. Just not sure my posses buttons are set up correct now. don't know of anything that could trigger them. (no plague outbreak right now)

Dual spec not working?

Is it just me, or is the dual spec not working with the dual talent system? I tried reconfiguring a bar after switching, but when I switched back, it didn't go back to the original configuration - and I *did* have the dual spec checkbox marked. I just got a bunch of buttons that changed to question marks.

Don't understand why you'd want buttons take up space just to look at them but ok. I'm not sure about this one.. but:
1. Make 2 new bars as the 2 you want to have (or one bar with 2 columns, your choice)
2. Place whatever buttons you'd like in them.
3. Repeat 1.
4. Place the new empty bar/s on top of the first.
5. To make sure you click on the empty bar when you click.. set it to have higher strata(I think that's the one <.< )

I don't know if you'd need to have the empty bar/s visible or if you could make them hidden and they'd still be in the way of the populated bar/s You'll have to go trial and error here.

Thanks for the reply First problem solved, but the issue with the #macaroon-vehicleleave etc not working, still remains :/ Keys are not responding to the macro.

Problem nr1: I can't find any option for allowing bars to inherrit another bars keymapping.

The situation when I need it is when using possess and vehicle bars. I have set my main bar to switch into these two but I can't sort the keybindings to follow to the new buttons.

Problem nr2: The macros for the leave vehicle etc are not working for me. They turned up in their default state alright, but nothing happens when I use them. Resorted to using keybindings instead but would be really nice to have macros that worked. The keys were set to macro and that default #macaroon-etc seemed to be as it should.
