Thumbs up Storage was causing funkiness

I figured out what was causing some of the weird stuff to happen with the control bar. It was doing very odd things to the button storage area.

So for example, I had 3 buttons in storage, macros for pet attack etc. I make a control bar, and it seems to sorta work. I notice that my normal binds for my stored buttons no longer work... so I open storage and see 2 rows of buttons in there, my original 3 are gone, and I see a pile of buttons in storage including some from the control bar (Aces High drake buttons) and buttons from my pet bar.

Some funkiness is still happening, but for now I deleted everything from button storage and I'll just put those buttons on an action bar and bind them. I wanted to point this out in case the storage interaction has something to do with the control bar weirdness.

Love you mod overall though Maul. I'm going to try ripping everything out and re-building at some point here to see if I can get this all working. The control bar for possess/vehicles is the only thing that doesn't work consistently, but I hate playing without this awesome addon.

do you use a vehicle bar or the new control osses/vehicle bar?
if you use the old one try updating too the new setup first.

ok, so i added 2 new profiles; 1 for resto and 1 for balance and activated the option to use different profiles for different specs only to find out it still didnt work. it turned out to be the obvious ... on the general tab the option "enable dual spec" was unchecked for some reason :0 (tho i'm pretty sure i havent touched that). but all is working perfectly again! thanks for the tips.

sorry for my ignorance.

I don't think it would be easy for the addon to know which profile to use for each spec.

I've been using Macaroon with a Balance/Resto druid without issue with the bars auto-updating when I change specs.

Noticing a bug with my pet bar. When my pet dies or when i just dont have a pet a bar is supposed to be where the pet bar is currently. However, the bars aren't switching so the pet bar stays up. This ONLY happens when the pet dies if i mount the bar changes normally. Thanks in advance =)

30100.2.5 - Logging on a level 80 troll priest with dual spec (disc and holy) with or without cleared saved variables and opening the character sheet causes an immediate disconnection from the server. This problem does not occur on my resto shaman (different account, did not try with cleared SVs), and does not occur on the priest with 30100.2.4.

Noticing that one very specific bar is always mis-aligned when I log in to 2.4. Clicking/unclicking the minimap button corrects this and puts it in the right place. Ill confirm it is still doing this with 2.5 then get back to you.

[edit] Confirmed still occurring in 2.5

[edit2] To elaborate, it seems like the two bars that are misaligned are Macaroon XP, and Bar5(which is a one button bar). If that means anything to you.

EDIT2: 30100.2.5 has fixed the switching profiles issue, thank you Maul.

I have identified the issue some are having with dual specs. Fix inc.
Hi Maul,

Is there any switching profiles bug in 30100.2.4? I'm confused now.

The first time, I saved a profile "war_prot_set1" with my warrior primary spec, ok. then change to secondary spec, and saved with another name "war_arms_set1". it's no problem to auto switch profiles many times between specs at that time (Already filled the bottom field with the primary spec profile : war_prot_set1 and second spec profile : war_arms_set1 )

After 1 hour I'm in primary spec (war_prot_set1), I moved a bar location and some buttons also key bindings, then save it, change to arms spec, it loads my original (war_arms_set) profile with previous non-modified bar layout and buttons. Ok, I check the profile "war_prot_set1" <Bar Layout> + <Buttons Layout> of primary spec, press load, then save it in secondary spec profile "war_arms_set1". Ok, sweet done.

But when I change back to my primary spec, weird things happen, some old buttons appears on bar include the old binding keys. so I reload the primary spec profile (war_prot_set1), good, those old buttons disappear, and now it is correct buttons set with my new modified bar/button layout. Again, I changed to Arms spec, too bad, those buttons appear again, I reload my "war_arms_set1" profile, yes, those old buttons/key bindings disappear, and there is my correct buttons set in Arms spec (war_arms_set1) profile.

But after that, when I change my spec, I have to load my spec profile manually, it seems can't automaticlly switch profiles anymore. because those old buttons always appear when I changed to another spec. Any idea can fix it ?

EDIT: Ok, I found you upload an update version 30100.2.5 , I'll try it and report if it fixed or not.

Re: States....

Hi,

How can I achieve the following setup?

I'm a druid and have setup a main bar with many custom states such as:
[nostance,nocombat];[nostance,combat];[stance:1,combat];[stance:1,nocombat];...

I really like to have the same button setup in combat vs noncombat states, but nocombat state bar should be invisible. So while having no visible buttons in nocombat and nostance, "1" should cast moonfire and entering combat should make the bar visible.

The hidden checkbox hides the entire bar, regardless of the state.

What I think I could do is create 2 bars, one of them always hidden (for nocombat states) and has no buttons while in combat... And the other bar has no buttons for nocombat states. But this seems a bit unnecessary overhaul.

Is there any clever way to do this? Im sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere, I failed to find it...
status update: After spending a few hours, I realized that the "custom state" thing works like this, if you have 4 states named
stateA
stateB
stateC
stateD

and add a 5th state called stateX between B and C
stateA
stateB
stateX
stateC
stateD
it ends up moving all buttons in C to X and all buttons in D to C. So if you already have buttons setup, add a new state to the end of the custom state list.

Furthermore, I've ran into hard-to-reproduce bugs while playing with it, like "having a bar without any buttons (according to button count) but has ghost buttons that work somehow"

At the end I realized that the profile file got 32k lines long and 800kb for just my druid char, I went back to normal stance checkbox
