Features -

  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!

  • Every button in Ion is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.

Commands - Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar

  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'

- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

Did you ever fix that problem with the #autowrite buttons not automatically updating when you get a new rank? I just discovered I've been using Frostfire Bolt Rank 1 (though I only pvp anyway).

and another question about fonts

made a new post for this one because its an unreleated issue about binding text.

On my main, all keybinds are truncated to three letters like this: on a button that is bound to Delete, the display is Del... and on a button that is bound to Insert, the display is Ins...

but on the only other alt I have currently, the display shows the entire words DELETE and INSERT.

Did I miss a setting somewhere?

customize text options please?

Im not a programmer so please excuse me if this is a gargantuan request, but I was wondering if it was possible to allow Macaroon's various texts to be tweakable - like the size/scale of the macro text or the binding text? Some of my keybinds on the same bar overlap each other and create a mess like this:

inserhomepageupagedoDeleF12

The only option I have now is to disable the display and because Im somewhat stupid, I tend to get confused and forget what my bindings are.

The font seems to take instruction from ClearFont because its in the Daville font I've selected for my UI, but Im not able to change the size or color of them.

Malygos - Hover Disks

Is there any solution to this problem? The Hover Discs in during P3 of Malygos are not vehicles, and i need access to my normal spell bar. Really need to be doing Malygos alot, as we're just progressing thru the encounter's achievements. Lots of trials, and this failing doesn't help.

This seems very similar to the problems I've been experiencing. With not only the Priest Shadowform Stance Bar, but also I had a similar problem trying to create a "group" bar on my Death Knight.

It created a bar where all buttons were blank save buttons 7-9, which were the exit, raise and lower buttons common to vehicle bars and it wouldn't let me drop any abilities on the bar, just as it did with Priest Shadowform.

I haven't tried this latest build yet, but from what I'm hearing it doesn't sound like anything will change.


Integrated MacaroonFu into Macaroon itself. No longer need a separate addon. Working on a LDB version.
Dunno if you're aware, but one already exists. Maybe that'll save some coding.

Thanks. This seems to have worked. Only thing i see now is that everything is now cosidered a vehicle, & buttons 8, 9 & 10 are exit, & pitch Up & down. They do not seem to work however. Can't dismount a drake or skel gryphon or the cannons using exit & the pitch buttons don't work. Not concerened as I'm sure they are prob coded for the PTR.

From what i can see, and it was going by fast in my event trace so, it was calling the following events (and it was hard to tell order sorry)

VEHICLE_PASSENGERS_CHANGED
UPDATE_BONUS_ACTIONBAR
ACTIONBAR_SLOT_CHANGED

i also saw
ACTIONBAR_PAGE_CHANGED
but the pages did change so..

An idea i thought of is: Is there anyway for you to do a check on entering a vehicle for a skill in the first action bar slot(typically slot1/keybind1), If so you could do an if check of if spell exists in slot while in vehicle swap to vehicle bar else stay on the normal main bar.

Note:I was doing this one a Demolisher, as i had the problem related to the malygos disks decribed earlier with a Demo as a passenger.
...Though that might not be possible here.

That is not a bad idea

I usually just add debug code on the fly, but I think for this issue I can add some debug code that people can turn on and post the results. I won't have it done this weekend, though

That is a fair assessment. And until I can see what is happening myself and record the order of events in the UI as they happen, I am trying to fix a problem blind

I would love to have access to a guild or group of people that when I request, I can tag along to test things

Forgot to answere the question :P

You could set up a work around bar by making a hidden bar with specific modifiers set up. Alt/CTRL/Tab modifier would work, if you arent already using them for other things.
