Features -

  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!
  • Are you a keybinder extreme? Use the button storage area for all your macros/keybinds! No buttons on screen needed!

  • Every button in Ion is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.

Commands - Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
  • shape: Change current bar's shape
  • name: Change current bar's name
  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
  • arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)

  • columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
  • padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
  • padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
  • padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally

As Skunkwerks indicated, that cower and prowl problem sounds like the 'WoW Cower bug". (Google that phrase for details)
It's a months-old problem with pet skill autocasts, but to my knowledge hasn't been fixed. A blue post on WoW-Europe forums indicated last October that it was being sent to WoW QA to find/test but that's the last I saw of it.

the pet/possession bar is broken again in the latest version, not showing when entering a vehicle in wintergrasp.

i also tested entering a cannon and its very strange, when entering the first time no bar appears, when exiting the cannon the bar will pop up for a second, when entering again the bar again pops up for a second, exiting for the 2nd time again pops it up for a second.
now when entering the 3d time the bar appears and stays there. the 4th time it also works but after that it seems that it only pops up for a second when entering leaving the cannon.

it seems to work fine exept that the bar is hidden again when the vehicle is entered, i hope this helps tracking and solving this problem.

Here's my reason / rationale

I like to have a bar with my "cooldowns" on it.

I also like to have a smaller bar right near my character with important cooldowns that dont have timers... that just "vanishes" when that ability is not available but it will pop back up when it shows up.

I can do this, but with macaroon it will remove the "cooldowns" bar which doesnt allow me to periodically check to see how much time is left etc

there is an addon called Inline Aura on WowAce which does that kind of thing, and it also provide alias for spell that do not have the same name as buff / debuff

like Plague Strike ==> Blood Plague, Icy Touch applies ==> Frost Fever

Not sure if this is an issue with Macaroons, but I think it used to be an issue with Trinity (I could be wrong, and totally be thinking about something else) but I have an issue with my pet spellbook. I have a cat, and I have learned the Prowl and Cower abilities. I don't want them on. However, sometimes when I log on, or when I mount and then dismount, they are on, in my spellbook. I'll turn them off, but then they come back on again.
This is 100% a blizzard issue, that has plagued hunters for a very long time. Blizzard knows about it and will fix it when.... well, you know blizzard.

On a different note, I am having an issue with Macaroon regarding pet and vehicle bars not appearing when I gain a pet or enter a vehicle.
By default, there are 0 buttons for a possession bar. Make sure you go into the button count, and set it up.
