Features -

  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!
  • Are you a keybinder extreme? Use the button storage area for all your macros/keybinds! No buttons on screen needed!

  • Every button in Ion is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.

Commands - Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar

  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'

  • padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
  • padv: Set current bar's vertical padding

ON the ptr with the patch preview, if i have my pet out, get on one of the argent tourny mounts, then dismount it will not swap back to my normal bar. Instead it will bring my pets skills on the bar until i do a bar edit manual reset.

I do like the vehicle bar however. As it has the leave and aim buttons. To be honest it might work sticking with the posses bar but i would still like a bar with the leave/aim buttons. But that just me and i am wired.

(gonna post this in bugs also)

I am aware of this issue. However, it has been trickier to solve in Macaroon, not sure why. But when I allow a Macaroon button to update in this manner, the tooltip just vanishes. So I disabled tooltips updating until I can figure it out

Thanks for the report, I know what is causing it, I was doing some experimenting and forgot to revert the code back to where it was

Great work, but with the lasted version (30100.patch.pre), I have this errors on mounting on Reins of the Icemaw Matriarch in combat, and the original Vehicle bar do not appear :

It's possible that is "while in combat", but when I test another daily quest, I have similaries errors when the Wyrmrest Defender die or when I dismount, and error with the TargetOfTarget.

Hey maul,

I can't remember if I've mentioned this yet for Macaroon, but you had fixed it for Trinity back in the day. Can you fix the issue where the tooltip doesn't update when the button updates?

For instance...

welcome back maul!

its great to see my favorite author back. from other posts i understand you have to take things easy, so please do. that said i'm also very, very, very glad to read you have a 3.1.0. version in the making. to be honest i was very anxious macaroon wouldnt function anymore with all that dual spec stuff (even more so since i'm playing a druid).

relax and only do whats fun to you!

I am so happy to see you are back Maul.
I sincerely hope you get fully recovered. You really should take your time. Wow is not everything.

Even with only keeping the addon up to date with very limited or no feature additions it is great. No actionbar addon comes close to what macaroon is capable of.

I would have loved to help with testing and so on. But "unfortunately" I got a new project and I dont have the time. I hope we, the community, here can get enough people to assist.

I don't know the problem or the solution to it.
But I'm quite curious as to why you want your Blizz bar shown at some point when seemingly you can play with it hidden.
Why not just always have the Blizz bar hidden and have a Macaroon bar instead of it?

I have a bit of a problem with this lovely addon. I have made alot of bars and keybinded them.. It works fine whenever i have the Blizzard actionbar shown. The problem is that when i hide the blizz actionbar and uses my keybinds the buttons in blizz' now hidden actionbar changes.
Then i can go to /mac menu and click on enable blizz actionbar.. then when it is hidden the buttons have been replaced by some random ones.. then i click on a keybind and a noice sounds and changes the buttons back..

Its really confusing and atm i can only play with blizz' bar shown. i would really much like it to work when it is hidden. Can some of you help me? i am totally lost.

Petpassive can be set in two ways:

1) Make a macro: /petpassive (this works but I don't think it shows the icon or if it is the currently selected pet mode. You are better off with option 2)

2) Set the button to pet id:10. Here are step-by-step instructions:

a) Make a bar with "/mac create bar" or use a bar you already have for your pet.
b) Add a button (or as many as you need for your pet bar).
c) Enter button edit mode (Alt-click the main Macaroon button).
d) Left-click the button until it becomes a pet button.
e) Right-click the button and set it's pet id to 10.

There you go, a working petpassive button!

However, seeing you're german I think I understood that too.: You have a pet that's not tamable any more and it would be bad if you couldn't have him on passive no more.

I know there was someone else who had a similar problem if not the same. I don't know what he did to get it back though. But there is a comment of it here somewhere..
