Features -

  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!

  • Every button in Ion is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.

Commands - Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
  • shape: Change current bar's shape
  • name: Change current bar's name
  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
  • arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
  • arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
  • columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
  • padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
  • padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
  • padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally

The vehicle bar feature that come with the latest update seems to not consider vehicles that do not change your bars, like the disks at Malygos, for instance.

What's expected to happen:
I jump on the disk / vehicle, my bars stay the same (I can use my own abilities on the disk / vehicle)

What actually happens (with the latest update):
My bars change as I enter the vehicle (into vehicle state) and thus gives me no choice but to use my abilities directly from the spellbook.

This issue only happens with the latest update.

However, I'd like to thank you for keeping this project up! I've been using your actionbar addons since TrinityButtons, and I still love them

Pet Autocast

I have installed the latest, pre-patch version of both Macaroon and Macaroon Extras. I'm using it on the live realm only, currently.

It seems that I can no longer right click on my pet bar to turn autocast on and off for pet abilities. Is anyone else having that problem? Is there a fix for it?

This isn't a problem, just a question.

I updated to the new version, and I'm using it in Live WoW. Things seemed to be working, until I hopped into a vehicle, and my bar didn't switch. Then I found out about the new "Vehicle" state. WOOT! Nice to finally have an eject button! So, I switched my main bar state to use vehicle instead of posess. That works fine, but oddly, my pet bar (a seperate bar on it's own) also swiches to the vehicle commands, even though I don't have either posess or vehicle selected on the pet bar.

Is this expected?

Also, Is posess ever used anymore, with the new vehicle mode?

Does the bar have its target set? What color is the edit bar while in config mode?

updated last night...having problems with one of my bars, it's there when i go into edit mode, but out of edit mode it's not...and it's not set for hide out of combat or anything like that, and it happens to be my own little trinket bar thing i made..

anyway, it seems like that's the only addon having a problem but i haven't troubleshot it. anyone else having that problem of disappearing bars...?

You can have the normal bar set to keys 1-0 (supposeing its a 10 button bar) and the vehicle have either the same bindings or completely different ones.

If binding differently on the vehicle bar also gets your normal bar to those bindings when you try you should left click the bindings(while in binding mode) in each state locking them to that state.

shadow priest on the ptr, went down to wyrmrest temple. i hadn't yet configured a vehicle bar before i got there.

first made a vehicle bar on it's own, then hopped on the dragon quest there. bar works great, but it was still also bringing up my posess bar with everything but the aim and leave buttons.

went down to the gnolls and tested mind control. this only brought up my possess bar as it should. note the possess bar also dissapeared when the pet was dismissed.

scrapped the stand alone vehicle bar, and added that to my possess bar. this bar only has those functions and keybinds for only in those states. the same bindings are locked on a hidden bar with my normal spells.

hopped back on the dragon and the vehicle bar comes up fine. dismount, and the leave/aim buttons dissapear, but the pet abilities stay. hitting one of the keybinds make the pet ability dissapear, but of course doesn't trigger my normal spell.

open mac edit, and it's showing my possess bar, it's not swapping back to the blank "normal".

back to the dragon, bar comes up. open mac edit and it's showing my vehicle bar there. dismount, leave/aims dissapear. open mac edit and it's the possess bar.

also tacked this into someone's bug report

Using the pre-patch version on live. I may be missing it somewhere, but I don't see the bar scale value listed anywhere which makes it difficult to scale precisely. It used to be visible in the bar's tooltip, but I'm not seeing it there anymore. Any chance we can get that back?

the new options for 3.1 look great
does the pet/posses bar work correctly now with this version? im probably going to see malygos tonight and i always had the problem with the old version that the pet bar dissapeared in phase 3

Did you save the profile for the second spec and assign it in the dual spec setup? I have been using the auto-switching dual spec on PTR without issue.

how many pet/possess buttons are there?

just wondering how many buttons the pet & possess bars are supposed to have?

i guess the vehicle bar supposed to have 9 including the three default ones? i just tried the new vehicle bar... nice.

i got 10 and 10 for pet and possess is that enough? too much? seems right?

i'm betting he hit the nail on the head here.

even though you can make a trillion bars with mac and load them up with buttons, the number of actual action id's is limited by blizzard. so it's possible you've reached the limit with them, or are doubling up when trying to put bliz macros in action bar slots, hence unresponsive slot. wish those macro's didn't use action id's, but they do.
