Be sure to check out the Optional Ion Addons to give you additional control over UI elements other than buttons using the Ion UI configuration framework.


Features -

  • Every button in Macaroon is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.
Commands -
  • Type /ion to display a list of available commands, which are:
menu: Toggle the main menu
storage: Open the button storage area
create: Create a blank bar
delete: Delete the currently selected bar
config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
shape: Change current bar's shape
name: Change current bar's name
strata: Change current bar's frame strata
alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar

I think it's important to point out that this is very extreme and never necessary to resolve a problem WITH an addon, or a problem caused BY an addon.

At most, you might need to delete your Cache, Interface, and WTF folders. This is enough to restore your installation of the game to a pre-modded, essentially pristine state but without the time and hassle associated with reinstalling the game and patching back up to the latest version of the game.

ok my last question.......my cast bar.....I can make it bigger and longer but i cant just make it longer. What is the option to do that? I have gone through everything

Well for me i edited the string everyone is talkin about and it fixed most of it but i had the one bag showing up. So i ended up deleting the game and all folders and then popped in LK to reload the game.....you dont have to load the orginal game and BC. Then loaded macaroon and edited the string and BAM......all better now.

What exactly did you do to get it working. I had to shut it off because I can't get it to work ever since the last patch. Mipmap & backpack buttons work, but that's all that's working...

How is it dead when it works for so many of us?

I'm sure Maul will come back sooner or later to continue his little project.

As many has stated Maul has always been chatty and told us if he's taking a break or whatever. He isn't the type of person to just give up on a mod and not telling anybody(read us) about it. Just look at Trinity. He had lots of trouble with it and he didn't abandon it. And now that he finally did, at a very appropriate time; WotLK expansion, he had a new idea that is very similar only apparently much easier for him to maintain.

I'm positive we haven't seen the last of either Maul or Macaroon(should that be neither/nor). Something might have happened to Maul but I for one reads his friend uploading that update(even if it didn't help much) as a sign that Maul will come back to us. Just a matter of time.

even if i did rebuild... are the vehicle bar/buttons working 100% now?

i got my ui working in the default ui again (by using ALL per character and per account macros for one char) and it is nice to not have to exit and reenter vehicles many times before the buttons appear...

If you were to do this with a normal macro, to change from one page of your main default Blizzard action bar to another, it would look like this:

Propogate IDs only works if you want to renumber all the IDs and they're in the right direction. If you have a bar that uses an arc like I do it reverses the numbers (ie: button 1 is on the right and button 12 is on the left). If you don't renumber the button IDs going to a vanilla interface "flips" all the buttons.

I also run a single large bar at the bottom of the screen that is half macro and half action buttons. So I renumber them manually. *shrugs* It's no big deal now that there is an obvious solution. It takes all of five seconds to turn off/on interface scaling and then it's easy to make the changes.

As far as this goes, DK "Presences" do not function the same as Warrior or Druid stances, they function more like Paladin "Auras" thus there is no EASY way of doing what you want.

I believe I recall someone explaining a detailed way of using macro script commands to switch pre-configured bars upon pressing a button that was associated with a SpellID, e.g. I believe you can set the Macaroon macro button you have for say, Frost Presence, to ALSO trigger a scripted event in another bar to behave like a stance switch, but you would have to set it all up manually.

Macaroon auto switches stances by default only in cases when the default blizzard UI would have done so as well, e.g. for Warrior stances and Druid forms, simply because that is the innate action of the Blizzard API. Blizzard did not feel the need to allow that functionality by default for Death Knights.
