Features -

  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!

  • Every button in Ion is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.

Commands - Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar

  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)

Using the pre-patch version on live. I may be missing it somewhere, but I don't see the bar scale value listed anywhere which makes it difficult to scale precisely. It used to be visible in the bar's tooltip, but I'm not seeing it there anymore. Any chance we can get that back?

the new options for 3.1 look great
does the pet/posses bar work correctly now with this version? im probably going to see malygos tonight and i always had the problem with the old version that the pet bar dissapeared in phase 3

Did you save the profile for the second spec and assign it in the dual spec setup? I have been using the auto-switching dual spec on PTR without issue.

how many pet/possess buttons are there?

just wondering how many buttons the pet & possess bars are supposed to have?

i guess the vehicle bar supposed to have 9 including the three default ones? i just tried the new vehicle bar... nice.

i got 10 and 10 for pet and possess is that enough? too much? seems right?

alright yeah that was it i guess. thanks for the help guys, il just be writing my macros in macaroon now.

i'm betting he hit the nail on the head here.

even though you can make a trillion bars with mac and load them up with buttons, the number of actual action id's is limited by blizzard. so it's possible you've reached the limit with them, or are doubling up when trying to put bliz macros in action bar slots, hence unresponsive slot. wish those macro's didn't use action id's, but they do.

sorry to be annoying. but heres another strange thing. i right clicked during button edit to manually type my macro in there, and now its holding it. it just however, wont let me drag it to that spot. im confused.

Are you trying to drag a Blizzard macro on a macaroon macro button? That will not work. either you can copy/paste the macro text from your blizzard macro into the Macaroon Macro or you can make the button a macaroon action button and drag the blizzard macro on to it.

I have another problem. The #autowrite stuff is pretty neat, but it always uses the specific rank of the ability that I drag onto a bar. Is there a way to make it not rank-specific?
Most non-mana abilities, including professions, don't even make their earlier ranks available since the cost is the same so the buttons for them just break once you level them up.

Hi Maul,

In the 30100.patch.pre version, informations in the tooltips for bars construction is changed.
It's was better before, while a simple mouseover give us all infos.

The issue I described occurs on the PTR.

I'm also using this beta version on live realms and don't have any problems (Dual Spec option ist greyed out, 'cause it's not implemeted yet)

Yes, from all accounts, it has been working very well within the beta group. Are you trying out the preview version on the PTR or live?

When I switch back without changing the skills on the buttons the old ones are still in place, but as soon as I replace e.g. Concussion Blow in Spec 1 (not avaivable in Spec 2) with Piercing Howl in Spec 2 (not avaivable in Spec 1) it doesn't remember the skills when switching back and forth.
