Are you a druid? I've found that if I'm in anything other than caster form when I mount a vehicle etc I don't get a possession bar. So long as I remember to be in caster form before I mount the dragon/tank/bomber whatever then it's fine.

I stand corrected then.
The few times I tried it, "[nomod:shift]" resulted in a non-functional macro, while "[nomod]" by itself worked fine. However, I am still relatively new to WoW macro creation and may well have been doing something else wrong.

Use the "custom states" option. If you want a vehicle bar and one page per stance, use:

[bonusbar:5]
[stance:1]
[stance:2]
[stance:3]

If you want 3 pages per stance, use:

[bonusbar:5]
[stance:1, actionbar:1] [stance:1, actionbar:4]
[stance:1, actionbar:2] [stance:1, actionbar:5]
[stance:1, actionbar:3] [stance:1, actionbar:6]
[stance:2, actionbar:1] [stance:2, actionbar:4]
[stance:2, actionbar:2] [stance:2, actionbar:5]
[stance:2, actionbar:3] [stance:2, actionbar:6]
[stance:3, actionbar:1] [stance:3, actionbar:4]
[stance:3, actionbar:2] [stance:3, actionbar:5]
[stance:3, actionbar:3] [stance:3, actionbar:6]

If you want all 6 pages per stance, use:

[bonusbar:5]
[stance:1, actionbar:1]
[stance:1, actionbar:2]
[stance:1, actionbar:3]
[stance:1, actionbar:4]
[stance:1, actionbar:5]
[stance:1, actionbar:6]
[stance:2, actionbar:1]
[stance:2, actionbar:2]
[stance:2, actionbar:3]
[stance:2, actionbar:4]
[stance:2, actionbar:5]
[stance:2, actionbar:6]
[stance:3, actionbar:1]
[stance:3, actionbar:2]
[stance:3, actionbar:3]
[stance:3, actionbar:4]
[stance:3, actionbar:5]
[stance:3, actionbar:6]

If you want additional pages, such as shift pages or alt pages, just add them in on their own lines as needed. Then follow the instructions in the FAQ (link is in the addon description) to set up the possession page ("[bonusbar:5]") while using custom states.

Stances/Vehicles?

My main bar is my stance bar for my warrior, but on all my characters they're also the vehicle bar. However, the vehicle bar uses the "pet" option, which contradicts directly with the "stance" option (for those who don't know, clicking one unclicks the other.)

So far, I've jerry-rigged my bars to be conducive to clicking, but not to keybindings (which I usually use). Is there any way to make both of them work with identical key bindings or simply work on the same bar?

I have keybinded shift + 3 and 3 to this macro button.

When I press shift, the icon changes to Arcane Shot, when I release it changes to Multi-Shot however no matter what I do, it always fires Multi-Shot whether the shift key is down or not.

What can I do to make the shift modifier work like the default bars?

I realise I can setup the "shift" state bar, however that means I have to duplicate a lot of buttons on the bar so they don't disappear when shift is down.

The problem here is that "[nomodifier:shift]" is not a valid macro conditional (you cannot combine ":shift" with "nomodifier"). Try changing your macro to...
Code:
/cast [modifier:shift] Arcane Shot
/cast [nomodifier] Multi-Shot
Or if you want the condensed, fewer character version, try...
Code:
/cast [mod:shift]Arcane Shot;Multi-Shot

I sometimes forget but usually doesn't matter much.

Bars shifting places from before to after possession alternation might be stoppable by setting an anchor point though I have no idea how to use those as I've never needed to.

Yes you need it to be a macaroon macro or ant macaroon actionbutton with bliz macro. The command should be
/script VehicleExit() or if you prefer /run VehicleExit()

I currently use ItemRack to swap gear, and use it's equipment buttons as well for trinkets. But they don't move or vanish when Macaroon changes. I just think it would be so cool if we could get something similar, or maybe even have a plugin system so we could make those buttons actually become part of a Macaroon bar, and key bindings.

the parts I LOVE about Macaroon the most are how you can build and position all kinds of bars, and how great it is as key binding.

For like Trinket usage and swapping.

Having never used the game without trinity or Macaroon for over a year, I wasn't sure how to better set up a possession bar, but it seems so far that for example when you ride a dragon that can shoot things with it's breath weapons, the game actually hides all your other buttons, so I ended up making all my bars have possession states without any buttons. (I plan to do more tests as I encounter more kinds of vehicles and such to make sure this is ok to do) this seems to cause a minor issue for some. I have a 2 column wide bar stuck to the right edge of my screen. Unless I add a button to the posses mode, it comes back shifted over from the edge.

I tried the macro /script LeaveVehicle() to make a Leave button, but it didn't work? also, to let you add this button to your posses bar, you need either a macro button, or if you prefer to use bliz macros, an action button with a value of 120 or less to drag it onto.

not all passenger seats on the vehicles have actions.
the siege machine has a turret in the middle you can control,
as well as 1 or 2 passenger seats.

when you hop on the turret, it has a slightly different "jump in"
mouseover than just the standard arrows.

Change your main bar 1 to possession, go to a vehicle, start bar edit, add buttons to the bar (it should be blank), and change them to Pet ID1-10, and if you want add a leave button, edit one button to macro written /script LeaveVehicle()
