And one last question. I tried setting one bar to combat to have it show up when I entered combat, and much to my surprise, it disappeared when I entered combat and came back when I left it. IIRC, this is the complete opposite to the way Trinity used to do it. Is there a trick to get a bar to show when you enter combat?
Heya Phred,

Chess event and other non-pet situations need a possess bar. A pet bar is strictly for pets.

You can easily do this with macros -

/use 13

/use 14

That will make your macro reflect any trinket for those slots.

The combat bar is working, it is just there is a normal state and a battle state. You just need to left-click on the bar until it is in battle to add combat buttons. The FAQ has more info

You may be correct. I had not bothered to download the extras part of the MOD as I thought that was already included in the main MOD.

EDIT: It appears that this was the case & I now have those bars.

Right click target is in the main menu. The option "Right Click Target" can be set to several targets, including "Self".
It appears that I misunderstood what Right Click Target meant & did not realize that it applied to skills as well. I will give this a try & see if it helps.

EDIT: It appears that the reason why I didn't have this option was because I had an older version of the MOD before the option was added. I have it now.

Typing /macaroon or /mac gives you a command list. /mac delete is how to delete a bar. Also right-clicking the minimap button gives you a menu with a "Delete Bar" option. The slash command list is also listed on the Macaroon main page. "Delete" is the third command listed.
I had forgotten about the console command. I did see that & forgot about it. I did notice that it was not on the menu when I right-clicked on the Macaroon mini-map button however. Maybe I had an old version, but it was not there when I tried it before.

EDIT: The Delete Bar option is indeed there now. I have a request however: Is there any possability of adding the function that if you click anywhere on the screen besides the menu, that it will close that menu? I personally find having to wait for the menu to timeout a hassle, when I've decided that I don't need to do anything with it. Even a Close/Return option on the menu would suffice.

Macro execution is handled 100% by Blizzard. If the [target=player] conditional is not working, something else is happening. Once you click the macro, the macro commands are handed off to the Blizzard macro interpreter. Macaroon does nothing to evaluate conditions to cast spells nor could it ever as Blizzard leaves that restricted.

Right click target is in the main menu. The option "Right Click Target" can be set to several targets, including "Self".

The main page also has a link to a FAQ that also answers many questions

With the new pet talent for hunters, I need more than the default 10, but also need the shiny overlay so i know when they are autocast.
10 action ID's is the limit Blizzard gives us and you cannot query a pet spell without a pet ID reference to see if autocast is on or not. Supposedly Blizzard is working to make improvements with pet abilities and the UI.

Well the way it is, it can't be used as an independant interface like Tillian used to be able to. With Trillian, I was able to use it indepentantly with only the side bars from the original Blizzard interface. I have to use the main interface to be able to do anything.

Bugs:
It appears that the self-cast option (target=player) only works if you point it to a skill already on the existing Blizzard interface. If you try doing it via Macro buttons, it acts normally.

I also couldn't see that the Trillian Importer did anything when I tried to use it, so I had to restart from scratch.

Features missing from Trillian:
Right-click=self-cast is no longer an option, which was one of the best parts of Trillian IMO.

I can't see that there are any bars other than action button functionality to it. No bag bars, Experience/Reputation bars, etc.

Furthermore, there is no way to delete bars once you have added them. Not sure where the thinking was on that one or if it was just missed in writing the MOD. The way it is now, I have to actually create a profile before adding any bars named NONE so that I can revert back to no bars & start from scratch if I need to delete a bar. Either that or edit the WTF\Account\WoW Account\SavedVariable\Macaroon.lua file manually.

On a normal bar, I can drag a spell off and then click somewhere to make it go away when I want to just remove something. Macaroon kinda falters here.. left-clicking doesn't work. Right-clicking does but then I have click to move on so it disrupts my movement as it destroys the macro.

And in button edit mode, what's the icon for? And what're the four arrow buttons for? :-)

Maul responded already with a question of his own - and the question itself might point towards a possible solution.

You'd also written up a fairly plausible theory/test case in your original post. So, like you, I was waiting around patiently for someone else to test it out

I am presuming I am doing something wrong but I am not sure what, the exact same pet bar works as it should on my hunter and warlock.
I replied to your second post and asked you a couple questions

Have you set up a possess bar? Or just a pet bar?
