Hehe, I need to make pet bars a bit clearer. I have gone through this several times tonight

Enter config mode, right click the bar, turn on the "Pet" state. There are now two states on the bar, "Pet" and "No Pet". Left-click the bar to cycle through until it says "Pet". Add your buttons. Then enter button edit mode - /mac edit or alt-click minimap button - then left click on the buttons until they say "pet". Each should have a unique ID from 1 to 10

Alot of the same basic mechanisms are in play. You can access most of the essential functions via the minimap button. The tooltip explains how to click it to get what you want.

You can also type /mac to get a list of options.

Once you enter config mode, just like in Trinity, your can right click the bar to bring up options. Most of the options should be familiar even though they are presented in a more efficient manner.

Buttons are the same way. Right-click a button after entering button edit mode to edit a button.

If that does not get you started, take a look at the link on the Macaroon main page. There are some very helpful instructions there. And you can always ask more questions here

2) This should have been fixed in a recent update, see change notes to which one. I am too tired to remember :P

3) The whole new companion stuff has been difficult to work with on Macaroon buttons set to macro. If you noticed, when you drag a mount to a button, it auto-switches to type "action" because those are much better supported. I am hoping Blizzard will add new API functions to make working with buttons based on pets/mounts easier. However, once things settle down I should be able to tackle mount issues, as I have some new ideas on how to go about it.

Yup, I have Vista myself. Make sure the paths are correct -

World of Warcraft \ Interface \ Addons \ Macaroon \ <macaroon files>

i guess im an idiot.....or spoiled by trinity bars....... but i cant figure any part of macaroon out at all...... and since i have had trinity since i first started wow (pre BC). I am totally lost without it..... or something simmilar..... please help.

I can make it re-appear not sure what is causing it come back either..
Each stance/form has its own unique set of buttons. You have to add buttons to each stance/form/page.

I loaded macaroon (two folders) in my wow addon folder. When i start the game and go to char screen, and hit addons button in the bottom left, I dont see macaroon in there.

Is this suppose to work with Vista? or why is it not showing up?
