Ion Action Bars  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: Lithium 3.1.2a
by: Maul, Jrosk, SLOKnightfall

Introducing Ion - Version 3 "Lithium"

Ion is a macro-based action bar addon. It can stand on its own or supplement any other action bar addon or even the default Blizzard UI.

Modules:
Ion comes with 4 modules that can be used for a full featured action bar experience. These modules are optional, but it is highly recommended that they be used for the best experience.

Features:
  • Ion features an unlimited number of macros. You can create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!
  • Are you a keybinder extreme? Use the button storage area for all your macros/keybindings! No buttons on screen needed!
  • Are you a clicker extraordinaire? As many buttons on the screen you want where you want, when you want!
  • Macros the size of Texas! Up to 1024 characters in length!
  • Maul's unique mouse-over key-binding system - where the mouse-over binding system was born!
  • Many other of the favorite desired bar addon features and then some!
  • And, importantly, MASQUE support!

Graphical Editor:
Ion contains a graphical bar editor that allows for a nearly endless customization of bar shape, size, orientation, etc, that has neither limitations on max number of bars nor the number of buttons per bar. Further all of the options found in the graphical bar editor can also be set using the below command structure:

Commands:
Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
  • shape: Change current bar's shape
  • name: Change current bar's name
  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
  • arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
  • arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
  • columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
  • padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
  • padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
  • padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally
  • showgrid: Toggle the current bar's showgrid flag
  • x: Change current bar's horizontal axis position
  • y: Change current bar's vertical axis position
  • state: Toggle states for the current bar (/mac state <state>). Type /mac statelist for vaild states
  • statelist: Print a list of valid states
  • load: Load a profile
  • lock: Lock buttons

Lithium 3.0 - Update to WoW 7.3
-Bug fixes
-FAQ rework
-PlaySound fix

Helium 2.1.1 - Bug fixes

Helium 2.1 - Update to WOW 7.2
- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

Not yet, on the to-do list, should show up in a near-future version.

Re: Action ID propagation borked

But this will fix it.

Line 903 of Macaroon_Buttons_Editor.lua - the line that looks like this, in the Macaroon.ActionEditPropagate_OnClick function:
Code:
            if (button ~= btn[1] and button.config.type == btn[1].config.type) then
should be changed to this:
Code:
            if (button ~= btn[1] and button.config.type == btn[1].config.type and button.bar == btn[1].bar) then
Woot, thanks! I changed it for the next update Good catch.

Re: Page transitions don't work after loading profiles

After loading a new profile with transitions (basically just a replicate of the blizzard default bar with stance/paging), the transitions won't work with stances and/or paging.

Doing a reload of the UI either via logging out or /console reloadui will restore functionality.

Not horribly broken, but pretty irritating at this stage when I'm testing new configs out.
Ugh, yes. Transitions I am still working on in Macaroon. Technically, Macaroon is still in a beta stage So I have not made any allowances for transitions from Trinity yet. Wish I had better news

Let me test out your setup. Even if it is not a bug, the bug list is a good reminder for me to check things

Bugs or possible bugs or perceived bugs or made up bugs or any other kind of insect is fine

To everyone and anyone!

This is a bit much for me and my time restraints So if you have a bug report, please also use the bug reporting feature on WoWInterface. You can find it at my author portal. Posting here is fine, but tracking everything is becoming cumbersome

Bug Report

or

Thanks!

Finally got to actually play! Mostly loving it. I was a bit surprised that, when I dragged a spell from the spellbook onto a bar, the previous button didn't attach to the mouse -- but that happens if I hold shift.

My bag won't stay set -- if I log out and log back in, it jumps back to the center of the screen. (I use combuctor, so I set it to just one bag button.)

Does that make sense? Or am I missing something?

So far I like it, pretty similar to Trinity which I had used for a long time.
I think I know what the problem is. I will look into it.

Hi Maul,

I have a similar problem that Burnum reported with the key bindings, but I used a fresh install and no importer at all! (Did not use TB2) My post is far below and is not answered yet (I think). May I ask you to have a look at it, dont want to repost with copy paste!

Right now its on Page 3 and will probably drop soon!

Just surch the page for "Ayindi" and you will find it quickly!
