But I really like Macaroon, its flexibility and has profiles for all my characters - that should I do to avoid this lag?

PS And Macaroon doesn't work with non-transport panels (quest, Lanatel in ICC, Nefarian HM in BD).

PS Sorry for bad english.
before i say anything else, i just want to say, i COULD be wrong about what i am about to say, but, here goes...

it seems the source of the lag problem in macaroon is the flyout buttons feature, as it turns out. unfortunately, idk if there is a way to disable the flyout feature while keeping the rest of the macaroon features (without picking apart the code, or something drastic like that).

its like the more items the client sees, the more the flyouts try to store the data for those items, but the way they store them doesn't look like it's working real well...

anyway, i'll try picking apart the code, to disable the flyouts and only the flyouts. no promises about this working, though.

wish me luck!

1 problem I ran into was vehicles.

Basicly I would like it so it is the same as in default... as in I have a macaroon bar that is 1-9 as key binding.... and would like it the same as actionbar1 as in those same buttons are swapped to the Vehicles abilities...

So not in Vehicles - 1-9 is spells
in Vehicles - 1-9 is Vehicles abilities

So what you're saying is you want a stance bar for PvE and another for PvP and that there should only be one of them visible at a time?
That's a can do I believe, but key bindings won't work if you make it with a workhorse bar.

However if you make a bar with custom states...
You should be able to make it work, even with key bindings.

Normally:
Code:
[stance:1]
[stance:2]
[stance:3]..
[]
Now, providing you use pvp gear(here Eye of Il) this should work I think.
Code:
[stance:1]
[stance:2]
[stance:3]..
[worn:Eye of Il, stance:1]
[worn:Eye of Il, stance:2]
[worn:Eye of Il, stance:3]..
[]

Edit: clarification

Not all of them but Macaroon is already unstable and have not being updated for a long time. Since its not accessory addon because it replaces your bar its better to use a supported one.

For people who are having issues with Macaroon randomly forgetting buttons when switching talent specs...

I've had the same issue too, and it seems like it specifically tracks down to some odd behavior with "stance bars" and dual-spec. It seems like if you set a bar to not use pre-defined stances by the game, instead providing your own (for example, instead of checking "stance bar", you check "stealth" instead for Rogues), this would reduce the problem.

However, that's not always possible. For example, Warrior stances, or Rogue shadow dance bar... So I solved the problem by going the other direction. I turned off dual-spec for all of my bars. Created profile for each talent spec, and then in the "profile" screen assigned the primary and secondary profile separately.

There are some advantages to this method, as you can have completely different layout for each spec. Of course it takes a bit longer to set up. However I've found that it's a very reliable work-around.

Macro buttons are the reason I use Macaroon. If I wanted action buttons I could just as well switch to Bartender.

Re: Bar data Lost workaround

Yeah, addon admins mentioned before that it was best to save a wtf file anyways.

If you look at your files before and after a crash, it seems that none of the actual saved toon data is different. What works for me is to:
Code:
1. Load up the spec that bars have been screwed.
2. Type in /reload to reload your UI.
3. Then go into your profile and reload the profile in question.
Everytime I do this in this order, it loads itself in correctly, for some reason, (which I can't explain).

but if you just try to reload the profile without first reloading your UI, it doesn't help.

Even if you log completely out of the game, then back in, and load the profile it doesn't help. It seems as if reloading the UI completely reloads and resets things that just logging in doesn't, which allows Macaroon to load/access the profile better. SEEMS is the key, but thats my findings. Maybe
Anseloth/Dwargh/Maul

can use this general thinking and find out why this is happening
sorry, for the moment, i cannot run Macaroon on my computer at all. you see, my desktop/gaming computer isn't even bootable atm, seeing as the main hard drive (meaning the one that the OS was on) was damaged, and possibly defective from the start

the other day i mailed it back to the manufacter, who said they'd send me a replacement once i send them the broken one.

so, until i get the replacement, the only computer i have is a netbook computer, which can barely run WoW without addons. therefore, i cannot debug addons until i get my new hard drive, sorry.
