Active aura button colour

This has slightly been bugging me for a little while, when I have my buttons as macros and have a death knight presence on, the inside of the border turns white (white and yellow maybe?).

Issue is that if I choose the Aura Watch Hightlight to be on and red, the button border is still white, but with a tint of red.

Now, if I change the button to an Action ID of the BlizzBar buttons, the white border thing isn't anywhere to be seen, the red Aura thingie is - that's what I want.
But what is the white thing? And is there some way to not have it in the way of the settings I want to show? ;P

I've inactivated ButtonFacade as I thought it was that at first, and nothing else is causing it (tried with only Macaroon on)

Re: Re: Hunter traps and the trap launcher

Ive also found changing the trap that is giving me the problem from a macro button to an action id button it works fine for me.

I posted this a little earlier, you might try it. There is some weird problem with trap launcher. I'm pretty sure it's on Blizzard's end. Anyway...

-----------------------

Try changing your macros to these (assuming you're using a cast sequence).

/castsequence reset=3 Trap Launcher, Ice Trap(Frost - Trap Launcher)

For the fire traps:

/castsequence reset=3 Trap Launcher, Explosive Trap(Fire - Trap Launcher)

And for the snake trap:

/castsequence reset=3 Trap Launcher, Snake Trap(Nature - Trap Launcher)

The game automagically casts the correct spell for some people and for others it doesn't, so you have to force it to cast the mysterious, hidden trap spell in order to get it to work right.

-----------------------

If you don't want a cast sequence, and you want trap launcher traps and normal traps on the same macro, you might try this instead as an example:

/cast Ice Trap
/cast Ice Trap(Frost - Trap Launcher)

It should use the normal ice trap, and the "special" trap launcher ice trap if you've used trap launcher. Of course, it might not work at all. The bugs with trap launcher are really, really weird. My hunter is fine without the special trap spells, but I know a few who have to use them to get the launcher to function correctly.

Either way, good luck.

Sorry. I don't seem to know enough of lua coding to figure it out.

I'll give that a try in lieu of an update, thanks.

Update

Tried the previous version (40000.1.11). It works, sort of:

When I load a profile onto a blank slate it will write the primary spec buttons, including macros. It will write the secondary spec buttons, excluding macros. However, when I'm in the secondary spec and hit "load profile" again, it will then load the secondary spec macros. Which is something the current version doesn't do.

So, that's a huge step in the right direction for me.

In order to accurately test it you have to remove the Macaroon.lua file from your character's saved variables folder. If you don't, you'll never know that it's not loading the secondary spec because Macaroon.lua already has all of your settings in it. So the entire point is to create a blank slate and then load a profile to see if it is functioning.

This is happening on three separate computers with different addons, so it's not an incompatibility issue that way. Again, the profile saves fine, it just does not write to Macaroon.lua fully. In order to fix my Macaroon I have to manually copy the profile from MacaroonProfiles.lua and paste it into Macaroon.lua by using a text editor.

MacaroonProfiles.lua will not write secondary spec to Macaroon.lua.

How to recreate the problem:

Remove Macaroon.lua from a specific character's saved variables folder. Log into the game, and select that character. Load a profile that contains both a primary and secondary spec. Respec to discover no secondary spec macros.

How to double check the problem:

Log out of the game. Load Macaroon.lua from the specific character's saved variables folder into a text editor -- I use jEdit, it's free. Locate the [ "buttons" ] section. Scroll further down to discover that your second set of macros was not written into the file.

After the end } bracket for a button it will tell you if it is for the primary spec or the secondary spec by using a -- 1 or -- 2, respectively. Anything denoted with a -- 2 is not written into Macaroon.lua. However, if I manually copy the code from MacaroonProfiles.lua into Macaroon.lua, the secondary spec then functions (of course, because now it's actually in the Macaroon.lua file).

Have you ever loged out in secondary spec after setting that profile up and saving it?
