Thumbs up It had to be said

Maul, you are a genius.

This is a fantastic add-on and without it I would probably have to quit playing WoW!

Thank you!

Re: expand/collapse on mouseover possible?

I recently started using this addon, and so far I'm loving it! There's one thing I can't seem to figure out, though. I'd like to create a (hunter) pet maintenance bar with Mend Pet being the "always visible" button, and all other buttons hidden until I mouseover the Mend Pet button. Upon mousing over the Mend Pet button, I'd like the other buttons (revive pet, dismiss pet, etc.) to expand out or become visible (without clicking), and then collapse back again once I move the mouse away from the bar. An addon called Zhuntermod included a pet bar that behaved in exactly this fashion, but sadly that addon is no longer supported/updated. Using Macaroon, I have succeeded in making bars that are completely hidden until mouseover, but that's not exactly what I'm shooting for. Is this expand/collapse on mouseover functionality possible with Macaroon? If anyone can provide instructions via PM or e-mail, I would be eternally grateful! Sorry for the wall of text, lol.
Edit: I did check the FAQ before posting
So it should work about as a flyout bar works only you want it to react on MO. Easy! Just simulate it instead.

Though it needs some placement on your part.
Make the mend pet button a single button on a bar, and then make another bar with AutoHide for the rest of the buttons.
Now make sure you place the bars so that the Mend Pet bar is under the Mend Pet button on your auto hide bar.. that will simulate the whole thing.
You will have all buttons hidden when no mousing over the mend pet button, but as soon as you do mouse over you'll get the autohide bar pop up and all your buttons.

I think I solved that problem by changing the button into action instead of macro. Hopefully this will work for you as well
Thanks I will give that a shot.

Well I cross checked my talent / glyphs with other hunters in the guild, we have the exact same talent and glyphs, yet he is not experiencing any problems with traps. So it's either just happening randomly, or its not those problem.

This is also happening to me when I play my priest. It only occurs with one spell right now but if I turn Macaroon off and use the blizzard default, it seems to work. The spell I am trying to cast Holy Word Sanctuary.

I am pretty sure I tried this spell out of the book but I will double check that.

Recently I've started playing my hunter alt, and I have a problem when it comes to trapping using trap launcher.

For some reason, after I used trap launcher, the only trap I can use is freezing trap. Whenever I tried other traps (such as snake trap or frost trap), the game keeps telling me invalid target, even though I was targeting a hostile mob. I've tried to change the button on the spell "trap launcher" to an action button, but it still does not solve the problem. Using a macro also does not solve it.

Could some one tell me what to do here? I would really hate it if I have to resort to the old blizzard default bar. :'(

Again, it's not Macaroon. Try clicking "Trap Launcher" directly from your spell book, then clicking on a trap. It should still give you the exact same error.

However. if you compare your profiles.lua with profiles.lua.bak
Are they the same? otherwize remove the bad file and try try again.
I think we have a slight misunderstanding. I was referring to the Macaroon.lua file located in a character's saved variables folder, not the global saved variables folder. It's the file that MacaroonProfiles.lua writes to for an individual character when a profile is loaded.

In my case it's located at:

c:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\account\accountNameHere\realmHere\toonNameHere\SavedVariables\Macaroon.lua & Macaroon.lua.bak

When THOSE files are removed from your toon's saved variables folder (and put somewhere safe), after logging in and loading a profile, do your secondary talent spec bars still load and function?

It's only recently that this started happening. I've had my in-game profile break before, but when I reloaded the profile everything was fine again.

Take the macaroon.lua and the .bak file out of a specific toon's saved variables folder (put it somewhere safe), then try to load a profile. Does it load your secondary spec? This is assuming you have your primary and secondary spec set as one profile and not loading a separate profile for each spec.

It's happening to myself, my wife, and my sister. I don't know anyone else who uses Macaroon. Again, it's something that only began happening recently. Previously reloading a profile would fix a disconnection-related problem.

Thank you.
