Features -

Commands -
  • Type /ion to display a list of available commands, which are:
menu: Toggle the main menu
storage: Open the button storage area
create: Create a blank bar
delete: Delete the currently selected bar
config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
shape: Change current bar's shape
name: Change current bar's name
strata: Change current bar's frame strata
alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally
showgrid: Toggle the current bar's showgrid flag

Very easily. I use the same general set up for all my toons, but each one has slight tweaks. It is as simple a thing as using the same bar for rep and xp. When I get 90 I flip the bar to rep from xp. Without profiles I have to flip it back and forth between toons or have two bars.

I agree with you it being a pain not having profiles. Here is a work-around that someone tried out. I haven't tested it myself, but give it a try.

I certainly don't want to tell anyone how to play but to me it seems you over complicate your UI. Every toon I play has the same bindings and UI with minor changes. My healers I move grid up to just under my toon. How can you learn 21 different setups?

It was mentioned earlier in the thread but it bears repeating; to get around the profile limitations for keybindings just create a bar anywhere on your screen and set your bindings to it. Edit the buttons on a per characters basis and then set the alpha value of the bar to 0. You'll have an invisible bar that you can customize per character.

Couldn't profile settings, so had to switch back to Bartender : (

Bartender's worst flaw is it's inability to save key-bindings for dual-specs. Ion seems to have a worse limitation atm? It appears profiles can't be saved for dual-spec and can't be saved for multiple toons?

Thanks for update, but there is another problem: config window is empty. Shift-click on a minimap button summons an empty rectangle with texture.

I haven't had an issue with any flyouts other than companion pets and I suspect their issue is due to them also being battle pets. Reloading the UI doesn't help them either. One thing I did notice with flyouts in Ion is that you can't capitalize the spells you want to use like you could in Macaroon and some spells with colons in the name don't work either. It's rather easy to get around both these issues though.

OK, looks great. Will loot window work ok? Didn't see that one listed?

What about profiles? Opened an alt and it had the same bars and bindings. How to differentiate between toons?

btw, this is so incredibly awesome after fighting Bartender for a year.

About this issue, it appears that this is a random one, it often function.

Right now, I wasn't able to reproduce it at will. But, there is a workaround, we can still do it from the spellbook. Not so great, but better than anything.
Yeah I created a macro to turn it on and off. Probably be a better idea to try to create my own pet bar with macros.

I seem to have resolved the issue of my extra action button disappearing every reload but now flyouts are totally broken haha. I can't win.

its the dual spec thing. Have to have it checked or the macros disappear.
