Helium 2.1.1 - Bug fixes

Helium 2.1 - Update to WOW 7.2
- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

Hmm... Mine doesn't have Macaroon in there. It goes:

Button Test
ButtonFacade -
Button Test
Profiles

The second Button Test being in the expanded list of ButtonFacade.

And that's it. It doesn't seem to realize I have Macaroon installed, I guess?

Oh, and how do I set up a pet bar? I can't seem to add pet skills to a bar designated "pet." Or do you have a link to somewhere that explains it?

The help is much appreciated! Thanks

Edit: The FAQ...dur... and I thought I was good at looking before asking. Let me try that explanation first. :P

Edit #2: Annnnd the all powerful FAQ solved my problem. Pet bar created.
Go FAQ! Go!

Oh, I wish!

But I do have some people stepping up and helping. Digmouse made a thread about installation, which was fantastic. But yeah, forum help would be very, very nice!

I really do appreciate the concern! With Trinity Bars I have been through these mad patch days before, I will be okay

You mentioned something about a text-converter and non-english keyboard, but I use an english keyboard. It happens every time I log to character screen and back. Let me know if there is anything else you need to know.
Did you use the importer? If you want, you can email your saved settings to me at [email protected] and I can load them up and see if it happens on my end. If it does, makes it much easier to fix

Give me as much detail as you can about which bindings on which bars seem to be acting up the most, if you decide to do this.

Seems often when I log in, my stored button's keybindings don't work. I have to add buttons to a bar to make my stored buttons into normal buttons, and then I can hide them again and they work.

Anyone else having this issue?

Did you download a skin pack? I have the Trinity one linked in the FAQ. Once you do that, when you type /bf, there will be a collapsible list on the left. Expand it to show Macaroon, then further to show the bars. Select a bar, then on the right-hand site you choose a skin from the drop-down there.

make a feature request to remind me. I was actually thinking over what has to be done when I was adjusting the bar linking code...but I might get distracted again

Man, this comment section moves fast lol

Since I saw this asked a few times, the Blizzard bars need to be turned off. They are left on because Macaroon does not know how you want to set it up yet.

@Chräcker - Not currently. One advantage that an addon like Dominos has is that it re-uses much of the default UI elements. This allows it to do things that it otherwise could not, such as picking up/dropping spells. Also, I have not looked into this aspect too much. I don't tend to move anything around during combat. If you make a suggestion in my feature request section, it will remind me to look into it.

@Nightedahs - just make sure all your self-cast options are set before you drag spells from the spell book and you should not have to worry about macro editing. However, a typical self-cast macro could look something like this -

/cast [target=player,mod:alt][target=player,btn:2][] Healing Wave

The above will self-cast on alt and right-click, otherwise normally.

@xce1 - 22.8 should have the FF issue fixed.

@sietelle - 1) The main Blizzard bar is nothing that Macaroon touches other than to show/hide it. To make a stance bar, enter bar edit mode - /mac config - and right-click the bar. Then check "Stance". Once that is done, you can left-click the bar to cycle through the stance states to add buttons to the desired states.

2) Yes! You will need to get the addon Macaroon Xtras.

@saltorio - Yes there is, but it is an advanced option. The "transitoin" option in Trinity is still in the works in Macaroon. However, if you are good at writing macros, you can use the "Custom" option to set it up.

@KittyWitty - If the abilities are question marks, that means they are set to type macro. You need to set the buttons to type pet - /mac edit, then left-click the buttons until they say pet.

@alfa - this is a bug with the importer. Just turn on binding mode, hit ESC over the buttons, then re-bind.

@deep92 - yay! thanks

@Dragonir - working on it! First I have to figure out why it is vanish on people

@Elonia - Yes, you should be able to just drag them from the spell book.

@Shakari - That event may need a possess bar, not a pet bar. They are very similar, but handled differently by Blizzard internally.

@phyltr - the stored button area is not complete. Macaroon is still in construction

@Ferenczy - I saw your suggestion in the featuer request and have responded there

@HashBrownJM - Enter button edit mode - /mac edit - then right click the bar. You will see the options.

@Lichbane - yeah, the 10 id limitation is from Blizzard.

@corveroth - I am still tweaking the custom state option but you should be able to get the functionality you want. Type /mac custom to get instructions.

@MartinL - Someone else reported this as well...I need to investigate more, not sure what it is.

@Sathrah - BF can be a bit finicky. Try to skin individual bars and let me know.

@tarloch - see the Macaroon Xtras thread, info there on the mysterious moving bags

@Aphyosis - I will look into the control drag/drop issue. I will probably put an option in to adjust the time it takes to animate, which could be set to 0 for no animation.

@isokarhu - I will have to check this out. Do me a favor and make a bug report to remind me.

@Morgalm - I added a new FAQ to the FAQ about this.

@cypsyan - it is the Right Click Target option. Select "Self".

@Argone - I am working on it, got many people not liking the text on buttons

@Luck7 - read FAQ

@shdwolf271 - this is an issue I am looking into. No idea why the minimap button is misbehaving for some people.

@Minou - Hmm, I will have to check this out in the beta to see if metamorphsis triggers a stance change. If it does, I will add in stances for Warlocks.

/whew!
