Features -

  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!

  • Every button in Ion is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.

Commands - Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar

  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)

Well, I was originally thinking of adding a script to parse my buffs and update the button text based on a specific buff stack (Maelstrom Weapon), but I admit I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to writing mods so I'm not sure how changing button text fits in with secure templates and if it would taint in combat.

EG: Numbers 1-5 on a few buttons based on Maelstrom Weapon buff stack. 5 when its at 5 stack.

Other classes could use this as well.

EG: Change text to "R" or "Ready" when clearcasting or something else procs for casting specific spells under specific buff conditions.

State based text would be pretty cool too, tho I'd have to think a bit to give an example.

That's an interesting idea, but you will have to give me more details. Are you wanting state-based text? Examples would be wonderful

Right-click the bar while in edit mode, check "possess". It will then make a bar that will switch when a "possess" happens, such as that fight. Just make sure you put your pet buttons in the "possess" state

I define a bar to have all buttons of pet (to control the ghost on Teron Gorefiend fight's) :



And When I start wow the grid of this bar is every time display even I haven't pet out :



When I clic to icon to edit bar et re-clic to disable edit bar : this bar is hidden.

Yup! I actually confused myself on this very issue yesterday lol. The bar needs to have "possess" enabled, not "pet" I think I will try to make it more obvious on how to set up a vehicle bar

Pet bar issue?

I have a pet bar set up, for when I have to do a vehicle type quest. My issue is, when I log on, the bar shows up, like "show grid" is in, which it is not. If I double-click on the Mac mini-map button, the pet bar goes away. The problem arises when I have to do one of the vehicle type quests, as the pet bar does not show up at all, until I double-click the mini-map button again. Once the quest is done, the buttons that were used in the quest show up as if "show grid" is on.

Any idea? Or am I not making sense?

The icons have to be available via GetMacroIconInfo().

Been able to get some of my complicated macros working find with Macaroon, lurve this addon.

One little thing I have noticed. There are several icons that were added in the last couple of builds that do not appear in the icon list when you edit the button. Not sure if this is a macaroon problem not calling all the icons, or if they are just not available to addons.

I first noticed it last night; ran several 5 man heroics and was constantly having issues with target switching and the pet attacking different targets.

It only seems to happen when there is another hostile mob that is closer in range than the one that is currently targeted.

To test what was going on I went just outside shat where the wolves, basilisks and warp stalkers are at. I would target say, a wolf but make sure there was another mob closer to both the pet and myself. As soon as I click pet attack, which is pet ID1 on the macaroon bar, the target switches to the closer mob and that is what the pet attacks.

I then enabled the blizz mainbar to try the default built into the pet bar and the target did not switch. When I have some time tomorrow, I will do a complete removal of the mod and reinstall to see if I can duplicate the issue.

Annoying targeting/pet issue aside, amazing mod. I have converted quite a few of my friends to trinity and will do the same with this one.
