Features -

  • Every button in Macaroon is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.
Commands -
  • Type /ion to display a list of available commands, which are:
menu: Toggle the main menu
storage: Open the button storage area
create: Create a blank bar
delete: Delete the currently selected bar
config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
shape: Change current bar's shape
name: Change current bar's name
strata: Change current bar's frame strata
alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally
showgrid: Toggle the current bar's showgrid flag

Does anyone know how to get the Open Ticket Status "circle" that appears in the upper right corner of the Open a Ticket ("?") button on the standard Blizzard Main Bar after you have submitted a ticket? I modified the Menu Bar 1 to show the Open a Ticket button that was missing, but my ticket status is not available.

Also, if someone would be kind enough to explain the best way to configure for dual specs at this time, I would appreciate it. I one point I used to only set the information in the Profiles area and everything worked just fine. However, later I was having issue with changes not being saved, profiles not being switched, etc. so I made some changes on the bars [there's a dual spec check box?] themselves based upon comments here on this site. I never really understood what the settings did or how they "worked".

Thank you to Maul for this AWESOME addon! And thanks to all of the rest of you who assist with silly questions.

Since 4.2 they added a new frame above the standard mainbar, like the sound bar for Atremedes or the directional bar for Lord Rhyolith. The problem though is there nowhere in the blizzard interface or Macaroon to move or disable it; or at least I haven't found it. Can anyone help with what this frame is called or tell me how to do this? Any assistance is appreciated.

Most work fine, but for retribution paladins, when Divine Purpose procs, Word of Glory and Templar's Verdict get their spell alert animation properly. But Word of Glory's spell alert won't go away until a UI reset. This does not happen with any other bar mods.
The current version has corrected all of my problems with dual spec.

great addon, cant play without it (because i play from bed using rarelly keyboard, so i need to have all needed buttons on screens on a circle...), thanks, to bad im poor now and cant contribute with money

one problem i have sometimes is all macaron stuff and all saved things are destroyed if you try to set options etc while fighting or doing big stuff. At this time macaroon crash and in saved profiles... is nothing. This is a tragedy if you dont have a backup, but i make backups every week..

also some speciall spells (for exemple if i put on a single button the freeze speell from the mage pet, or the special bar from bg when u are in canons) - these buttons are not visible until you refresh the addon. This is a big problem, because if u forgot to refresh it and start a arena match, for example, you lose...

I was having this problem too, until I found out that I was not checking all the boxes when saving(Bar layout, Settings, Button layout, Button Data)

Also when I do rescpec Surv (I'm a hunter) at times I forgot to updated the name of the profile I want to use on Primary/Secondary Talent spec Profile. which ofc also drives me to get a lot of ??? around my bars.

Typical silly mistake but, easy to look over not realizing it...

The problem is that macaroon will suddenly "forget" all the buttons for either the primary spec or secondary spec. It happened just now when I was disconnected from the server while in my secondary spec. When I logged back in, all of my action bars were using the ones saved with my primary spec. I still get this one little error:

I believe it has something to do with the Macrovault and it's temporary halfly disablement.

Not a big deal at all , really. Just Buggrabber goes "oh-oh!" every time I log in.

Since installing the new the 40200xx version, the main blizzard ui is now showing. When I go to Macaroon's main setup page, the box to check or uncheck "Show blizard main bar" is greyed out. It is unchecked. Any idea what is wrong or how to fix this?

I checked out the new version, too. I removed macaroon.lua from my character's saved variables folder, then attempted to load a profile (which contains dual spec information) and the dual spec would not load. The problem that was introduced with 40000.2.1 seems to still be present in the new version.

I second your sentiment! For me though, it's the extra macro functionality that truly puts Macaroon in a class of its own. Dominos provides similar functionality with regards to bar customizability and keymapping but if you need more than the paltry standard number of character-specific macros blizzard provides, Macaroon is the ONLY WAY TO FLY. Thanks Maul for all your hard work and effort on this addon!!!!!

BTW: if anyone is wondering where their "Open a Ticket" button is since updating to the most recent version, just open "Menu Bar 1" in the bar editor and add 1 button and it will magically reappear. With the 4.2 change that bar has 1 extra button but people who have had Macaroon since before 4.2 will have to update their config.

Thanks Maul!

How do those of us who still want flyouts (memory leaks and all) reactive it?

I seem to be running 40000.2.1 and have not noticed serious issues. Then again maybe I have from time to time, but never connected it with Macaroon.

EDIT: After reading changes again I think I need to test this new version to see just what you mean by 'disabled item-based flyouts'? I currently only use flyouts for Pets, Mounts, and a few special Totem buttons on my Sham.

EDIT2: Works great! and it's clear now that my Flyouts still work as needed. I guess item-based means just that, flyouts of I don't know... food maybe? something I never did. (and that would also explain why I didn't connect lag issues with Macaroon?) If this mod ever dies, I think it's the last day I play WoW. Just to much good about it to ever want to play with the normal action buttons layout again. (I still use mostly action buttons, I just get to organize them how I want and keybind like a mad man with ease.)

I uploaded a version for 4.2. On my side, it seems to fix anything related to dual spec switching.

I disabled item scanning for flyouts until I figure things out. There still seems to be a creep in memory usage that should not be there, but on my side it is not adversely affecting game play.

I think it may be time for another re-write...version 3...but only to find the time.

I actually have an new idea that has been floating around in my head since WoW 4.0 hit...I call it "bar prototyping", we shall see...
