Ion Action Bars  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: Lithium 3.1.2a
by: Maul, Jrosk, SLOKnightfall, Soyier

Introducing Ion - Version 3 "Lithium"

Ion is a macro-based action bar addon. It can stand on its own or supplement any other action bar addon or even the default Blizzard UI.

Modules:
Ion comes with 4 modules that can be used for a full featured action bar experience. These modules are optional, but it is highly recommended that they be used for the best experience.

Features:
  • Ion features an unlimited number of macros. You can create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!
  • Are you a keybinder extreme? Use the button storage area for all your macros/keybindings! No buttons on screen needed!
  • Are you a clicker extraordinaire? As many buttons on the screen you want where you want, when you want!
  • Macros the size of Texas! Up to 1024 characters in length!
  • Maul's unique mouse-over key-binding system - where the mouse-over binding system was born!
  • Many other of the favorite desired bar addon features and then some!
  • And, importantly, MASQUE support!

Graphical Editor:
Ion contains a graphical bar editor that allows for a nearly endless customization of bar shape, size, orientation, etc, that has neither limitations on max number of bars nor the number of buttons per bar. Further all of the options found in the graphical bar editor can also be set using the below command structure:

Commands:
Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
  • shape: Change current bar's shape
  • name: Change current bar's name
  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
  • arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
  • arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
  • columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
  • padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding

  • padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally
  • showgrid: Toggle the current bar's showgrid flag
  • x: Change current bar's horizontal axis position
  • y: Change current bar's vertical axis position
  • state: Toggle states for the current bar (/mac state <state>). Type /mac statelist for vaild states
  • statelist: Print a list of valid states
  • load: Load a profile
  • lock: Lock buttons

Lithium 3.0 - Update to WoW 7.3
-Bug fixes
-FAQ rework
-PlaySound fix

Helium 2.1.1 - Bug fixes

Helium 2.1 - Update to WOW 7.2
- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

You can use this on Live now you know works just the same. Whats putting me off testing/using it is the lack of profiles but I did try it once with the current version
There will likely be problems with possession/vehicle/quest buttons etc. with existing 8/30 build. Another is that my Shaman and Druid are non functional because the mount flyout seems to be causing problems with toons that can shapeshift. Not sure why that is... Want to try and speed level my priest so hoping that it's pretty close to being at a new beta release point.

The silence on its status was pretty loud so I wanted to ask. Heh...

Is there a way to make an actionbar change states based on eclipse state? (Sorry, couldn't find a way to search just these comments.)

The bars I deleted on my priest are now gone from my shammy as well. Is this related to the fact that Profiles are not working? I didn't use profiles with Macaroon (that I am aware of & didn't do anything with the profile Manager) and each toon still had their own bar sets & configurations and were not affected by changes made to others.
You are using the Default profile, its 1 profile, and is loaded every time you load Ion. So this carries across all your alts. Any change made to it, will be applied on every loaded alt.

1st maul, I want to thank you for all your hard work. I have been using your mods since the days of Trinity bars and it is the one mod that I feel I really "need" to have.

I have looked through the forum & after about 10 pages & a headache I could not see a reference to this, so I will ask outright.

When I 1st started using Hydrogen-2, I set up the bars on my warrior. I noticed that the Dual-Spec option stated it was not implemented, so I only set up for tank spec. I then went to my resto shammy & saw that the bars were already created. I then added several new bars for totems & other shammy stuff. After all looked well, I logged in on my holy priest. The bars were preset (but empty). I went to remove the shaman specific bars & then thought to go back & check my shammy for glyphs. I didn't use profiles with Macaroon (that I am aware of & didn't do anything with the profile Manager) and each toon still had their own bar sets & configurations and were not affected by changes made to others.

Again, thanks for all your hard work & your great (needed) mod(s).

I presume so since we already got all the changes that relate to addons in starting patch 5.0.4.

I believe all the global options are currently set by /ion; there is no gui config for those few options (like TimerLimit and BlizzBar)

In macaroon you did this by disabling both upclicks and downclicks on the bar config menu. When I tried this the buttons no longer worked, but the bar still grabbed input. Seems like a bug to me.

Using slash commands is too difficult and tedious.
First of all, do you have Ion-GUI installed and enabled? You won't get visual configuration without it.

Second, do you see the minimap or libDataBroker icon for Ion? It supports left (config) right (edit) and middle (bind) edit-modes.

Third, try "/ion config". Your bars should highlight when you hover over them. Left click to select the bar, then right click to open the configuration pane.

Don't have any bars? Try "/ion create bar" before "/ion config".
