Same issue here. For me at least though, it only affects macros that are not /cast commands. Adding a /cast command to the start of the macro causes the icon to show up once more. As a workaround add /cast to the start of your macro. No need for a spell or anything, just /cast and then nothing, then a new line and your original macro.


EDIT: /use also works.

I searched on how to fix this and couldn't find anything. Anyway the icons for my macro buttons are missing on the bar. icon does show up in my editor screen. Any ideas? The Icons do show up when the button is set to action.

If Macaroon is retired and you work on another bar mod, it will be the first one I try. Honestly, since this is such a demanding hobby that you do in your free time, I'd say work on whatever is most appealing to you. Macaroon has been around for quite some time, so if it's time to put it to pasture, then so be it.

The spec change error should be fixed with the 40300.1.2 update.

I cannot seem to replicate the stance changing issue save for my druid's rip ability. Not sure what is going on

I noticed this as well. Reloading UI after changing specs updated my buttons to the ones for the current spec.

When I change specs, I get this error, and none of my button bars change. Running newest version as of this moment (40300.1.1).

Appreciate any help! I don't want to have to recreate all my PvE macros before raid tonight.

After the 4.3 patch, abilities which were before properly 'grayed out' for not being in the right stance are now showing up as if you can use them until you get in the proper stance.

Side note. in regards to the future maul... I just hope you keep it so we can make custom bars of any length we want.. macaroon is pretty much the only mod I know that does this, and I just dont want to play without it!

Awesome Maul, thanks so much for the update really appreciate it

I will support what ever you decide to do as I am sure it will be great!!

Would love to see Macaroon live on but am excited to see what new ideas you have for a fresh take on it. If you think you have the time for a new addon I say go for it other wise just do your best to patch up Macaroon and keep it going.

Thanks again, your bar addons really are the best in the game and would so be very very lost without them.

Just a note: The 4.3 update is really very hackish to get the current issues to be non-issues.

Right now I am evaluating what I will be doing going forward. No, I am not out of the addon game, but like its predecessor Trinity Bars, Macaroon has become an unwieldy behemoth.

I have also finally taught myself some new Lua tricks to make things sleeker and more efficient (and also easier to maintain) and that can only mean one thing: a complete rewrite.

If I do a rewrite, I have to decide where I want to go -

These are my thoughts -

1) Keep Macaroon going as is, but improved

2) Revisit Trinity Bars (my thoughts wander there, so I mention it)

3) Make something completely new (of which I have some exciting ideas, but is it worth the effort and hassle?) P.S. I already have a name for this new idea, but I am not sharing yet

I know my presence is hit-n-miss. Writings addons is a hobby, and as I have mentioned before, sometimes real life gets in the way (serious stuff and not so serious)

But I am not going anywhere as far as WoW is concerned and I still enjoy making addons for some strange reason. This post is not a definitive statement, but rather just a public expression of my thoughts on Maul and the whole addon scene.
