Features -

  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!

  • Every button in Ion is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.

Commands - Type /ion alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • storage: Open the button storage area
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
  • shape: Change current bar's shape
  • name: Change current bar's name
  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
  • arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
  • arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
  • columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
  • padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
  • padv: Set current bar's vertical padding

Helium 2.1 - Update to WOW 7.2
- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

Minimap Icon

Hmm my minimap icon for Ion seems to be missing after updating today. Reverting back to my previous files fixes it but... I'm not sure what to do. I'm so used to quickly clicking it to make minor binding adjustments and such so it feels terrible not to have.

Any suggestions?

That is the correct folder and should fix the showing for characters without pets. The grid is a separate issue that you pointed out in your code comment a while back in which the function that should be handling it stops before anything can be done. I just looked at some of the code on Github to see if that was something I did and couldn't remember why, but it looks like Maul did and has been that way since 2012 or longer.

So I think I figured out what is wrong with your pet bar. It looks like as some point you deleted it and created a new one. For some reason the new bar does not get created with the same settings as the default. I'll lookinto why it is happening, but a quick way to fix it is to delete the Ion-PetBars.lua in the main SavedVariables folder. That will generate a new default pet bar that is hidden when there are no pets.
... never occurred to me that it might be a me-only issue, especially due to the weird immediate-exit code in the function I was playing around with. Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

I have the same issue I had before, the pet bar grid is showing even when Show Grid is disabled... so toons without pets always have a blank pet bar grid showing and those with pets have unused buttons showing up.

I've noticed a few other issues recently but I'll hang tight on reporting them until I've tested out this new build.

I'm not sure why that would be happening off of the top of my head. The profiles should keep everything separate unless they are sharing the profile. I'll look into it tonight when I get home and see if I can reproduce it.

The update has been pushed to the site and should go live shortly. The majoity of the bugs that have been reported should be fixed. If not let me know and Ill look into it.

A new slash command has been added. "/ion MoveSpecButtons <Old Spec #> <New Spec $>"
This will copy the button layout from one spec to another, since the previous version only had 2 and now there are possibly 4, with the previous spec layouts not matching.

Currently there is no artifact status bar as I haven't really had a chance to play the beta much. But I'll look into it and see what can be done.

Update Incoming

So I finally had a chance to sit down and work on ION this weekend. I was able to integrate & test all the fixes that were submitted, fix a few more issues here and add a few new things. Everything has been pushed to Github and I plan on doing one last check tonight before packaging it to be released

Once again thanks for your patience with the update, and to everyone who reported errors or submitted fixes.

SLOKnightfall, I (AlexFolland) want my 18 MB of incredibly finely-tuned profiles to work in Legion, but they still don't stay for more than one session after being copied via the profile manager. I realize you're busy. Do you plan to fix this before Legion?

Small Issue that I have found (though it is more of a quality of life fix*)

Ion does not allow to drag and drop a Spell that has been changed by Talents (for example as a Mage having Shimmer instead of Blink)

* you can still manually macro it
or remove the talent that changed the spell , drag the Original spell and then return the talent back but a little bit annoying

and once again Thanks Maul (and now SLOKnightfall for maintaining it) for one of the Best Addons (if not the best) in the game

I'm actually in the process of finishing the final update for Legion. There is a beta update available here It still has a few errors, but for the most part is usable.
Many thanks for the reply. Then I think I'll try to move over to your addon, I would like to do a nice ui customization and I stumbled into silly limits with other addons.

I think this will be awesome to move over (like trinity and macaroons in the good old days, omg I miss those wow years )
