Maul, I've been using Trinity from way back. I gotta hand it to you, Macaroon Rocks! I set up my druid in about 15 minutes, where with trinity bars2 it took considerably longer. Great job with this addon! Please keep it going.

More Macro Icon Issues in .18.1

The following errors occur in .18.1:

1- If I make a simple macro such as:
#showtooltip 16
...with the ? icon, the ? is displayed instead of the item in Slot 16.

2- If I attempt to drag such a macro off a Macaroon bar, the macro is removed but it "leaves behind" the ? icon in the (what should be a) now-empty button. If I drag something else into that button, the "something else" properly replaces the contents and icon of that button.

3- Cooldowns are very inconsistent. I have the main menu option set to display "Text Cooldown Timers" - however, sometimes they show and sometimes they don't. I can't determine what factors figure into this. I have tried it with skills dragged from the spellbook to Macaroon macro buttons and with macros including a #showtooltip line - it's not consistent, either way, sometimes the timer will show, sometimes it won't.

4- I don't think I can generalize this next one, so I'll just detail the specific example: While Innervate was on cooldown, I dragged Innervate from my spellbook to a Macaroon macro button. I then dragged Innervate out of that button. The button became empty (as it should) but the timer for Innervate remained - stuck on the remaining time at the moment I dragged the spell out of the button.

Edit: I was in the middle of writing this when you responded above! Hehe. Please look at 3 and 4.

Crowfeather pointed out #1 and it is fixed

Cooldown Issues with .18.2

The following relates to .18.2:

1- Cooldown timers are still inconsistent. Sometimes they appear, sometimes they don't. Sometimes a left-click on the button while the skill is already on cooldown status will cause the timer to appear; sometimes a left-click on the button while the skill is already on cooldown status does nothing. Sometimes the timer will appear later on its own, so maybe the left-click that "sometimes" causes the timer to appear is just coincidental.

2- The global cooldown "sweep" through the buttons is very hesitant and jerky, instead of a smooth sweep. (3) below is probably related.

3- When a spell is on cooldown, the darkened part of the button (which represents how much time is left until the spell completes its cooldown) flashes, 2-3 times per second.

First, the previous problem with #showtooltip not functioning seems to have been fixed. Yay.

However, I appear to be having the same issue as JMHammer with cooldown timers. They blink, flash, etc. Even the global cooldown flashes several times before it is over.

Looks about 99% fixed.

Bug: When in flight, the buttons are disabled... except when I hit modifiers that aren't self-cast, in which case the macro lights up. With the right icon.

Cooldown timers seem to be fine now. Woot.

I've been pretty busy today so didn't get a lot of time to check back in. I haven't encountered any other problems yet; at least, none that I remember.

Cooldown Timers in .18.3

Great improvement. I have noticed only one issue:

The in-button text for cooldowns does not appear if the skill is currently "in use" or cannot be cast yet for some other reason. For instance:

-Fear Ward: The duration and cooldown of this spell are identical (3 minutes each). The text cooldown for Fear Ward never appears.

-Power Word: Shield: The 4-second text cooldown is never displayed when there is only one valid target for the spell (i.e. when soloing) apparently because the Weakened Soul debuff prevents the spell from being cast on that target. When in a group, the 4-second text cooldown timer does appear when then spell is cast as long as there is one person in that group on which the spell is eligible to be cast (this last part not tested thoroughly due to lack of patient volunteer partners with whom to test).

-Every Man for Himself: This is an instant cast spell. The text cooldown timer is appearing immediately.

-Symbol of Hope: This spell is channeled for 8 seconds. The text cooldown timer does not appear until channeling is complete.

This is an issue mainly for spells whose durations are a significant fraction of the cooldown time, such as Fear Ward.

I think this happens because, even when the option for "Text Buff/Debuff Timers" is not enabled, the display of text on the button is reserved for that function. This prevents the cooldown timer from displaying while the Text Buff/Debuff Timer would be using the display space - even when it is not enabled.

Didnt try 18.3yet but I logged in with my paladin(g) and macro issue (again, sorry, lol):

/castsequence [equipped:shields,combat] reset=8 Holy Shield, Cleanse, Cleanse, Cleanse
/cast [noequipped:shields,combat] Cleanse
/cast [nocombat] Cleanse

This one only shows Cleanse all the time. Though it's working perfectly, castsequence is working nicely, just the icon... isn't.

Have you tried prot pala guys? KICK ASS in 3.0... I will be imba... with macaroon and my macros, yihaa!

i ran into a slight problem when testing pet bars and vehicle bar

i was using the dragonblight wyrmrest defender

now when you get on it theres 5 spells/skills available

flame breath, immolation, renew, blazing speed, destabilize azure dragonshrine

now normally these keybinds are control 1-5 but i binded them to 1-5
renew,blazing speed and destabilize all works

but when i try to use flame breath or immolation (1 or 2 or even clickin the skill/spell) on the azure drakes it doesnt work unless i use control 1, 2

when i use 1 or 2 or click it says "Player's Flame Breath failed.(Invalid target)"
where as if you use control 1,2 it says "Wyrmrest Defender begins casting Flame Breath."

is there anyway to fix that? im not quite sure what the problem is thats makin keybind 1,2, clicking not work

sorry if what im typing is hard to understand

also is there a way to hide unused buttons on the pet bar without limiting how many buttons there are on the bar

This macro seems to work fine for me The Holy Shield icon shows as soon as I enter combat and re-shows after the 8 second reset. Out of combat cleanse always show, which should be the case Is this on the PTR or beta?

I had a similar problem doing the Betrayal quest in Zul'Drak a couple of days ago. You have to use a quest item to control a troll beserker thing and use it to fight a crazy zombie troll or whatever. The troll beserker's pet abilities look something like this:

1, 2, 3, - attack, follow, stay
4 - single target instant attack that does extra damage
5 - single target stun
6 - puts a HoT on you (the pet's owner)
7, 8, 9 - agressive, defensive, passive

Most of these abilities seemed to work ok. But #4 and #5 did not. When I clicked on them in Macaroon, they gave me errors about invalid target or out of range or something, which doesn't make sense. I could still use the abilities by hitting Ctrl-4 and Ctrl-5.


I also noticed that when I put a Conjured Mana Emerald on a macro button, it doesn't display the number of charges left in the Emerald on the button. It works fine on an action button, but not a macro button.

For this issue, read the main Macaroon addon info page

As for the bindings not working, are we talking about Macaroon bindings not working or the default UI vehicle button bindings not working?
