Helium 2.1.1 - Bug fixes

Helium 2.1 - Update to WOW 7.2
- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

"Alpha" is like transparency. A higher alpha value, the more opaque (not transparent) something is.

As was pointed out in Trinity "Trans-Up" did not really make sense, since when you increase transparency, the alpha value actually goes down.

So that option will let you set when a bar is to become fully opaque.

Alpha 0 (Alpha is "down" to 0) = fully transparent

Alpha 1 (Alpha is "up" to 1) = not transparent at all

SnapTo is the same as sticky bars in other addons, save I didn't really like the term sticky When you enable it for 2 or more bars, when you drag them and place them close to each other, the bar you were dragging will "snap to" a position in perfect alignment with the other bar.

And woot on the translations!

Thankyou /huge sigh of relief

So, a fortnight ago I finally got to PTR!

[Aww] ... none of my addons are working
[gasp] ... no TRINITY !
[gulp] ... try to setup the standard UI bars, ugly / cumbersone / clunky
[sigh] ... I surrender! no more ptr till I sort this out
[yawn] ... still no action bar that I can live with
[cheer] ... after searching for days & days, found "macaroon"
[clap] ... hooray for Maul

Now I will download and reset my toolbars for macaroon, I don't mind this extra work, because let's face it -- the standard UI by blizz is just that standard [sub].

I have been trying this mod out on the ptr.

So far I am happy with what you have done,
I normally use zbar2 and this is a good replacement.
I really like your stance bar option, and the ability to change the amount of buttons for each stance.

I am running into one problem though....
When I drag weapons or trinkets onto buttons,
it will not attempt to equip/swap them when I click the icon, instead it tries to use the item and reports that is not equipped.

Do i need to make a specific type of bar for swapping out items or something?

Woot! Glad you found it Most Trinity users are giving good feedback about Macaroon, some even like it better

This is something I have not tested extensively. I have no answer right at this moment, but when next I log on I will see if anything strange is happening in regards to items.

Error Msg - .19.2

Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place. It's likely this is related more to MacaroonExtras than to Macaroon.

When I attempted to directly bind the skill "Cooking" in the spell book using "Spell Binding Mode" I received the following error message:

Date: 2008-10-07 03:08:33
ID: 51
Error occured in: Global
Count: 1
Message: ..\AddOns\Macaroon\Macaroon_KeyBinder.lua line 141:
attempt to concatenate a nil value
Debug:
[C]: ?
Macaroon\Macaroon_KeyBinder.lua:141:
Macaroon\Macaroon_KeyBinder.lua:57
Macaroon\Macaroon_KeyBinder.lua:355: BindFrame_OnEnter()
[string "*:OnEnter"]:1:
[string "*:OnEnter"]:1

The keybinding did take, however, and other than the error message I noted no symptoms of a problem.

It might be worth noting that "Spell Binding Mode" and "Macro Binding Mode" and "Binding Edit" mode are exclusive configuration states. At first, I found this confusing, as I was used to the behavior in TrinityBars2 where Binding Mode was Binding Mode, and I could directly bind anything on a button, or on the Blizzard macro matrix, or in the spell book while in Binding Mode. With Macaroon, one can't bind a macro while in Spell Binding Mode, and one can't bind something in the spell book while in Binding Edit mode, etc.

Might it be possible to have all three binding edit modes active simultaneously? I think it would be more intuitive that way.

Is it possible to use Binding Edit mode to keybind action buttons on the default Blizzard bars, overwriting any keybinds defined in the Blizzard Keybinding Menu, or can this be used only to keybind Macaroon buttons?

It was a small bug in MacaroonBound, got it fixed though, thanks

You know, the way the binding turned out for buttons, spells and macros just naturally evolved to be independent from each other. Macaroon code is more "modularized" than Trinity. I will look into linking them.

Is it possible to use Macaroon's keybinder to assign keybinds to Blizzard buttons? Answer: yes. It would require another module similar to MacaroonBound (or an addition to it). I can see that being useful to some

Yup! Hence why it is in WotLK section It will work on the PTR and the Beta, but not on the live servers.

It is a good guess that the patch on the PTR is going to be released next week. Then, Macaroon will work on live

Equip/Use Item Macros

I had the same problem with the /use trinket not equipping it. So I just changed the macro to...

Code:
/equip Essence of the Martyr
/use Essence of the Martyr
This equipped the trinket if it wasn't already, and it used it if it was. Worked fine so far.

is there a way to set conditions of bars like "target=focustarget, exists"? I've been using trinity for awhile, but I saw you can do this with bartender and am hoping you can do it with macaroon as well. Trying to make it so if I have a focus who has a target then when I cast a spell on the bar it will assist, if not it will cast as normal.

open bar edit mode and right click on the bar, on the 2nd page of the panel there is a respond target selection.

I don't suppose you could upload or direct me to a screenshot?

I like to know what I'd be downloading to see if it's something that would work with my playstyle.

Thanks
