Be sure to check out the Optional Ion Addons to give you additional control over UI elements other than buttons using the Ion UI configuration framework.


Features -
  • An unlimited number of macros, create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!
  • Are you a keybinder extreme? Use the button storage area for all your macros/keybinds! No buttons on screen needed!

  • Every button in Macaroon is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.
Commands -
  • Type /ion to display a list of available commands, which are:
menu: Toggle the main menu
storage: Open the button storage area
create: Create a blank bar
delete: Delete the currently selected bar
config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
shape: Change current bar's shape
name: Change current bar's name
strata: Change current bar's frame strata
alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally
showgrid: Toggle the current bar's showgrid flag
x: Change current bar's horizontal axis position
y: Change current bar's vertical axis position
state: Toggle states for the current bar (/mac state <state>). Type /mac statelist for vaild states
statelist: Print a list of valid states
load: Load a profile
lock: Lock buttons

The latest version seems to have fixed my last problem (some posts down), but a new problem have come up. When I log in, every bar that is just "normal", no state, no nothing, just pure plain created-then-added-buttons-and-nothing-else seems to not initialize correctly. They do not function at all. Not visible, no keybind reaction. They show and work fine after I enter config mode.

Yes, there will be a pet bar. However, in the meantime you can use macros -
  • /petattack
  • /petfollow
  • /petpassive, /petdefensive, /petaggressive
  • /petautocaston, /petautocastoff, /petautocasttoggle
And then /cast <pet spell>

As for the other issue, I am checking into it.

The custom states are working great. I assume you have plans to provide a way to easily manage custom states, so I won't complain about that.

However -- though you may have plans to change this too, who knows! -- at present it's rather unintuitive to have to set the same binding on the same button in every state.

Indeed! TB auto-sets bindings for other states when you set a binding in one state. I just have not gotten the code in yet. I guess I got distracted O_o

Glad to hear the custom states are working And yes, there is going to be a gui to edit the custom states.

something i would like to have in your addon

just an idea that i would love to see is this

I have all my macros and key binding hidden at all times except when I make new ones or edit them, the problem that I have is I dual-box and the program that I use wont let me use scroll wheel so I have re-mapped them in order to use macros.

What I like about your add on is there's a lot of nice feature like key press down action, shift mod on the same hot bar (some of my chars have some bars up lol) and the key bind ever-where is Great.

In your old add on i found the menu was to small and couldn't resize it

I think if you had a panal with all the macro in it like bind pad but with more slot so i can have all my chars macro at one spot and in easy view.

With-out scroll feature this would speed up setting up with new or old chars.

or just have the stored buttons bigger or have them accessible out side of the interface add on panal

I know your working hard and mite not be able to have time to do this, but it out there and something to think about

One small request: add most recent changelog entries at the top, instead of at the bottom... I'm lazy and I don't enjoy scrolling ever-increasing distances to see what's changed.

Because I am OCD and the default Blizz buttons seem "sloppy" to me In my version the icon and border are much neater and better looking, imho.

I am currently working on the stored button GUI. I will keep what you said in mind when working on it

Hey Maul, I´m missing one thing that made Trinity much more attractive to me than any other Bar AddOn. I like having diffrent keybinds for diffrent stances at the same bar. That means that for example in caster stance I´d like button #7 to have the 7 key bound to it but in cat form I want the same button to have the F key bound to it. Unfortunatly this doesn´t seem to work with Macaroon anymore.
Other than this, I already like Macaroon better than Trinity.

Thanks for the great work once again.

edit: btw, is there any way to remove unused empty bars? I couldn´t find any apparent way to do so.

Version .10 introduced a new feature for binding. If you left-click a button while in binding mode, you can "lock" a buttons binding so that it does not get reset if you change a binding in another state. That should give you what you want. Of course, it is a new feature, so let me know how well it works

And yes, I have not put in a /mac delete yet. I will soon, though.

Other movable bars

So far, I'm enjoying Macaroon. I've been a long time TB user, and do like the style. My question is, will there eventually be a way to move the bag bar, and the menu icon bar? I checked off the "hide blizzard main bar" option, and that got rid of everything. Was wondering if these bars would be available to move about the place?

Awesome work, Maul, and looking forward to more additions to Macaroon.
