I see an option for aura watch highlight when in button edit mode. How do I configure that? And what can you do with it?

On my pally, I'd like to make my spells that consume holy power glow when I have three holy power, and I'd like to make my spells that generate holy power glow when they are not on cooldown. Kind of like power auras, but for buttons.

No, still have no idea. try to backup your wtf folder/ saved vars for the specifoc character and then build the macaroon layout from scratch again.
If it still missbehaves there must be something with your installment that is messed up. And if it works it must have something to do with the saved vars or how you set it up.

Edit: Did more research, apparently it's a WoW bug itself with macros.

Next issue.

Cooldown timers with Soulstone and Healthstone. When I cast a Soulstone or use a healthstone, the cooldown timers stop showing the cooldown as soon as I cast another spell. These are the only two spells that behave this way.

For example, I have a button to create a soulstone, and a button to show the unused soulstone. In 3.x macaroon, I could place a soulstone on somebody and the button that showed the soulstone would then coundown the time until I could cast another soulstone.

In 4.x, the button stops showing the soulstone cooldown as soon as I cast any other spell. The only way to get the cooldown time is to create another soulstone and attempt to put it on somebody.

Any way to fix this issue for both Soul and Healthstones?

if you are using Custom States on your main bar allready you csn add the lines

[vehicleui]
[novehicleui, bonusbar:5]


If you're not using Custom Statates you just check the main bar for vehicle in the bar edit gui.

Aura watch highlight highlights the button with a buff spell that you have casted that currently affects you or your target. Iow, if you have casted BoM on yourself and then targets a friendly unit without BoM casted from you, the button will be highlighted before you target that unit and after you deselect it but not while the targeted unit doesn't have your BoM on them.
Targeting an unfriendly unit will show the highlight as long as you got your buff.

Basically it's spellid 6229 without Fel or Demon Armor active, and its spellid 91711 with Fel or Demon armor.

Also, /cast Nether Ward does not work.
This is the same blizzard problem that had the hunters traos snd the boomkins sunfire not work in macros.

I guess you can either make the macro go
/click spellID6229
/click spellID91711

Or
/cast spellID6229
/cast spellID91711

Or what I know works; just change the button to a actionID# button and redrag the spell from your spellbook.

Bug (?) with new (since 4.01) button highlighting for procced spells

Hi,

My main is a druid and I have experienced a strange behavior with the new button highlighting that Blizz introduced with 4.01. I'm not sure if this is a macaroon problem or if this is a blizzard bug.
I use macaroon with the "Blizzard style" buttons so there is no button facade or other similar addon.
I experienced this when playing as healer. My main bar has all my healing spells on it and has a stance setting (the predefined selection, no custom stance settings). Once I switch to Tree of life form my normal (=nostance) bar buttons start glowing up for the enhanced spells before it switches to the actual tree of life stance bar (there is a minimum "lag" so I can see the highlighting just before it switches the bar) The appropriate spells in my tree of life bar are not highlighted as they should be.
Once Tree of Life runs out, I switch back to my nostance bar, I still see the highlighted spells and that never goes away until I relog.

I have also experienced these highlighting issues with my other chars, but was not able to reproduce it properly.

As I said I'm not sure if this is a macaroon or blizz issue so my question is if anyone has made the same experience or if there is a known workaround?

Quick question - I "borrowed" a layout for Macaroon from another compulation here as it has buttons you can click to then open new bars (i.e. click button and my profession bar opens) but I realised last night that they wont open if I am in combat.

The initial button is /mac hidden Prof
When clicked out of combat it opens another bar
If I'm in combat, it will not.

What setting do I need to change some these will open in either state(combat or no combat).

You can't use that command in combat as it's a macaroon configuration command(bar edit command) and you can only edit bars OOC.

atm I don't think there's any other way to bring forth a bar in combat than using the autohide option.

Signed on, made a change to a bar, went to profiles to save it, crap no saved profiles, why? How do I get it back?

Check your WTF folder in the first or second saved variables folder, think its in the account folder, there is a lua and lua.bak file for MacaroonProfiles. Check the files to see if there are profiles named in them.

If there is in only one file, delete the one without.

If there is in both, make sure you have MacaroonProfiles installed and loading on login.

If none of the files exist or contain your profile names, sorry beats me and you'r out of luck
