It is a shame the addon is just about usable. It just has some annoying bugs that make it time consuming and tedious to use. Like for Druids it will not detect any forms in a fly-out.

set your misbehaving bar to dual spec mode. macros that should be the same between specs, you should copy to clipboard, switch specs, and paste back (or copy them all to a notepad, then switch specs and copy back)

I already use dual spec mode, that's not the problem. There are times you just want to add a macro or change a macro and it won't work.

Dual Spec: Bars Don't Stay

Hi, there! I have a question and did try to review the posts to find an answer, so I apologize if it's already been addressed and I overlooked it. I first acquired Ion in October 2012; when I changed dual specs, my bars had to be redone each time. Finally, I figured out if I clicked on the "Dual Spec" radial button (duh), then my bars stayed right where they belonged when I changed specs. But since the latest update, this no longer works. When I click on the "dual spec" button, I get back a message stating "Feature not in yet". Did this change with the newest update?

Other than this question, I appreciate all you have done so far with Ion, and from what I've read about (other posts from) Macaroon users, these projects have long since been favorites. So, thank you!

I'm wondering, what happened to the people that were helping test? Cat got their tongue?

But, it's Maul's time and effort and I'd imagine very little reward aside from personal satisfaction. Or, he could be going through a lot of crap. Who knows. I'd imagine that "somebody" is in the know though so feeding us tidbits would be a kind act.

I've just always loved this addon so I'm a little over passionate I'll fully admit. I've stated before and it's the truth "It's one of the main reasons I still play wow". Maybe if development stops I'll finally have the courage to pull the wow needle out of my arm and move on with life. Hah hah hah..... It's been 6 damn years. Heh..

I was helping to test, but we basically used whatever Maul uploaded to GitHub and reported bugs. Maul has been MIA and I've already posted here about the GitHub inactivity. You're not getting information from testers because we don't have any.

Found a new crazy problem. Using IceHUD on some toons breaks flyouts. On others it seems to work. Disable IceHUD it works everywhere. Anyone else experience this?

nm considering this abandoned. Too buggy.

I wouldn't throw in the towel on this project just yet. The man is obviously busy or no longer with us. Either way, had it been the latter I'm sure we would've heard already. Give him some time to do whatever he is doing. After all, this is something that is not being charged for.

just returned after a break to give mop a try, im sad to hear maul isnt around at the moment to further his project.
ive been using his bars since trinity and its by far the best mod of its type by a country mile. lets hope he comes back and continues his work as wow isnt the same without his glorious bar mods working at their best

Hi there,

I have a quick question for other Ion users: I've noticed that whenever my inventory updates, there's a noticeable jitter in performance. It's perhaps a half second of UI lag. Two common examples of when it occurs are: collecting loot and doing any kind of crafting (like smelting ore). It's nothing game-breaking, but it can be very distracting.

Through troubleshooting, I'm fairly certain it's caused by Ion. It occurs only when Ion is enabled (and even when Ion is the only addon enabled). I took a quick look through the code, and saw that it does indeed respond to the Inventory update event. I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone else is experiencing this, and if anyone has an idea of a potential work around.

I've noticed it, too. No idea as to a workaround, but you aren't alone.
