Couldn't profile settings, so had to switch back to Bartender : (

Bartender's worst flaw is it's inability to save key-bindings for dual-specs. Ion seems to have a worse limitation atm? It appears profiles can't be saved for dual-spec and can't be saved for multiple toons?

It was mentioned earlier in the thread but it bears repeating; to get around the profile limitations for keybindings just create a bar anywhere on your screen and set your bindings to it. Edit the buttons on a per characters basis and then set the alpha value of the bar to 0. You'll have an invisible bar that you can customize per character.

A) Bartender can do that. I thought the idea is to put the buttons, macros and bindings where the player wants, not where Blizz or any other programmer dictates?

B) Trinity puts the spells where the player wants, so that if they ever need to be manually pressed, they can be.

C) Spells are in a very careful order and position for each toon, not placed willy-nilly according to the convenience of the key-bindings.

D) Yes, theoretically one could put the spells up twice. Once visible with no keybindings and a second time invisibly, but that's a lot of bookkeeping for the player. I have 21 toons across four servers. It averages about an hour to draft a single toon's keys for a single spec. That's a lot of hours to do it multiple times with visible and invisible. Did I use the spell or the macro? Does the button do the same as the bound key? It goes on and on.

We sure could use profiles...

I certainly don't want to tell anyone how to play but to me it seems you over complicate your UI. Every toon I play has the same bindings and UI with minor changes. My healers I move grid up to just under my toon. How can you learn 21 different setups?

I agree with you it being a pain not having profiles. Here is a work-around that someone tried out. I haven't tested it myself, but give it a try.

Very easily. I use the same general set up for all my toons, but each one has slight tweaks. It is as simple a thing as using the same bar for rep and xp. When I get 90 I flip the bar to rep from xp. Without profiles I have to flip it back and forth between toons or have two bars.

Yeah that makes sense. funny thing, I ran into an issue last night where I wanted my pally to have a key bind different and thought, god damn it.

so any druids able to get all their forms in a flyout? /flyout s:form:l:c:t:1:c:s

The only thing that shows up is moonkin form. On wowhead this is the only form that doesn't have shapeshift in the TT. I am wondering if it has something to do with how ION is reading the spells?

Hello,

Does anyone know if there's a slash command to quickly toggle the "hidden" state for a bar? I believe in Macaroon, it was simply:

/mac hidden name (where "name" is the name of the bar you want to toggle)

I've looked through the help console listing, and peeked at the LUA a bit, but I can't figure out if I'm missing something, or if it's simply not implemented yet. It was a small but rather handy feature in Macaroon that I find myself missing. You could even put the command on a button as a macro, and have a one-click on/off button for your bars.

Thanks for this addon, to bad we dont have profiles and need to make keybinds every time we swithc not only specs but chars...

I cant fix a problem, on enh shaman spec i cant see the elementals bar, but on resto i can see them... On my mage i can see the elemental pet bar too
