Helium 2.1.1 - Bug fixes

Helium 2.1 - Update to WOW 7.2
- Removed legacy morph spell code
- Removed legacy trap launcher code
- Code clean up
- Reworked Rogues stealth bars to use the stance setting. This should allow them shadow dance to change bars correctly. This change will probably result in lost old style stealth layouts.
- Added a Shadow Dance bar state for Subtlety rogues when using the "Stealth" bar state. This allows for a separate Stealth and Shadow Dance bars to be used. Users can opt to remap the Stealth bar to the Shadow Dance state if they want a single bar state
- Fix for issue where dragging a item to the bar when the editor was open would overwrite the home state macro.
- Fixed issue where macro text would not clear between bar states.
- Fixed some issues with flyouts not generating correctly.
- Added flyout macro generator to the button editor window.

I have downloaded the updated Ion and applicable "other files" (Menu Bar, Bag Bar, Pet Bar and Status Bars) since 5.4.1 was released.

It appears that the Menu Bar taint message experienced initially after 5.4.1 release is fixed in the updated files.

As far as not seeing a menu load in certain cases, it seems to have been there a while from previous posts.

There is a bit of a work around for this:
Left-click on the red Ion button on the mini map.
At this point you will enter "bar configuration mode".
You can then right-click on any of the Ion bars to open up a general menu.

Note:
There is a separate recent post that still applies to resolving the per-character Ion configurations that you will still need to perform in the recent updates.

If you have any troubles past this point, drop a note and myself or other users here will do our best to help.

- Even with the odd bug this action bar mod is my best chance to enjoy my wow addiction.

Hi there. I just got this last night, and I love it! The multitude of options is great.

However I must ask one thing. When I put my mounts into the action bars, they are not greyed out when I am in combat/indoors. This sometimes makes it hard to judge when I can or can't use them. Is there a way to fix this? Or am I simply to wait for an update?

Thanks

EDIT: Oh, also, I use this addon along with SexyMap. The little minimap icon for Ion bugs out a lot with the minimap, and often hides behind the minimap. With the way my minimap is set up, it oftentimes is completely hidden because of this. Just thought I'd let you know.

Hello,
Here is a little macro witch will help you :

Code:
/cast [modifier] Traveler's Tundra Mammoth()
/cast [flyable, button:1] Pureblood Fire Hawk()
/cast [swimming, button:1] Subdued Seahorse()
/cast [button:1] Amani War Bear()
/cast [button:2] Traveler's Tundra Mammoth()

With that, when u'll press any motifer (ctrl, alt or shift) or if you use your left button, you will have your mamooth to repair, if you don't use any modifer, you will have your good mount (flyable or not). You can change the names of the mounts with your's

I edited the Ion.toc and commented out Ion-Broker.lua. Seems to have resolved the issue until a fix can be made.

So far I'm ok performance wise, but I had to do the code edit to solve the broker errors mentioned in another recent thread.

13 fps with ION

If I run ION just ION and nothing else mod wise. my fps drops to 13-17.

I disable and I am back up to 65-70

I am curious if it has something to do with the code change associated with the store being added?

Re: 13 fps with ION

Yeah maybe not sure but if someone who knows about the codes can post a LUA mod or fix for it would be great so I don't have to redo everything on another addon

Thanks

This error is constantly generated by an OnUpdate script handler, that's what causes the FPS drop:
Code:
Message: Interface\AddOns\Ion\Ion-Broker.lua:106: Attempt to access fully locked-down object.
Time: 12/11/13 13:02:52
Count: 326
Stack: [C]: in function `GetName'
Interface\AddOns\Ion\Ion-Broker.lua:106: in function <Interface\AddOns\Ion\Ion-Broker.lua:95>

Locals: (*temporary) = AuthChallengeFrame {
 0 = <userdata>
 InputFrame = <unnamed> {
 }
 DeniedFrame = <unnamed> {
 }
 ErrorFrame = <unnamed> {
 }
 WaitFrame = <unnamed> {
 }
}

And here is the code that generates the error:
Lua Code:
  1. --improved frame search by Phanx
  2.
  3. for key,value in pairs(_G) do
  4.     local obj = _G[key]
  5.     if (type(obj) == "table" and type(rawget(obj, 0)) == "userdata" and type(obj.GetName) == "function") then
  6.         local name = obj:GetName() -- This line (106)
  7.         if (name and name:find("IonBroker") and not ORB.foundicon) then
  8.             if (name:find("Icon")) then
  9.                 ORB.anchorFrame = obj; ORB.foundicon = true
  10.             end
  11.         end
  12.     end
  13. end

FPS drop with 5.4.1

For me reverting Phanx's frame detection ( or just commenting it out ) fixed FPS issues.

Ion-Broker.LUA at line 106, the entire block.

--improved frame search by Phanx marks the spot.
