  • Every button in Macaroon is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.
Commands -
  • Type /ion to display a list of available commands, which are:
menu: Toggle the main menu
storage: Open the button storage area
create: Create a blank bar
delete: Delete the currently selected bar
config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
shape: Change current bar's shape

alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)

I figured out the command for exiting vehicles. I just created a macro on one of my other bars:

:'( I remade my ENTIRE interface because some problem occured and it got erased when I launched wow 5mn later, please give some help I've used this easily and trinity bars too and just feel pissed, I can't even play now . . . .

Vehicle bar

So Maul, do you have a suggestion on how to get the default Vehicle bar to pop up? Or are you working on a fix?

Also, to those wondering, in your Keybindings interface, there is a command for exiting vehicles. Bind it to something and then you can just click the button to jump out.

Pet bar / Karazhan

Ok, Maybe I'm stupid and just don't know what I'm doing, but with three characters now using Macaroon, (which by the way I have had no other problems with, thank you for this mod) in Karazhan I have been left completely useless at the chess event as no bar to control my chess piece appeared.

Any help or suggestions on what I am missing or need to do?

Lightbulb Vehicle Work Around

It would seem that Macaroon needs a stance setting for vehicles... however, I have managed to set up bars for it to work just fine.

Just set aside some buttons that you wont be using for anything else (I use my non-pet bar because when I get in a vehicle it replaces my warlock pet). On those buttons (I just set aside 6 small ones just in case) use the alt+click minimap button to get to macro mode and set those buttons to the pet setting. Thats it... even if you dont have a pet or use a pet class just have a non-pet bar set with in the macro mode to the pet setting. Sorry if that is confusing!

I bind some keys to those (they share the same ones as my pet bar since it swaps). You can exit the vehicle with the Blizzard key bindings for exit vehicle... default is num pad 5.

[Bugs] possible causes: Macaroon, Pitbull, Cowtip, Quartz, AceEvent-2.0

Lately I've had some nasty bugs. I can still play the game, but several addons stop working. Most noticable are Pitbull and Quartz. I won't see any information anymore on the unitframes and quartz sort of locks. Sometimes Quartz doesnt lock completely but the autoshot/swing timer just keeps going even if I'm not shooting. My actionbar addon (Macaroon) also gives some strange behaviour then.

I can still play the game to some extent and I've finished off bossfights in this bugged interface. When I try to get a game menu (pressing Esc) it doesnt work. When I try alt-tabbing my computer bugs out completely and finishes with a BSOD, forcing me to reboot.

Last night while leveling in Howling Fjord I encountered this behaviour again and took screenshots of the Bugsack errorwindow with the errors of that moment:

regarding Macaroon: especially the petbar seems bugged. I've set my petbar in a way that with pressing ctrl I can access some consumables. With the bugs happening these buttons get messed up with eachother. At other moments I've seen my 24button actionbar also getting messed up (with my aspects, which are there when pressing ctrl)

and my addonslist (if it is of any use)


I don't know how these bugs are caused, but I hope anyone might be able to help or fix them.

Make sure you have the pet bar enabled? I think with classes that aren't pet classes by default, the pet bar isn't on the screen and/or has no buttons attached. I know I had to create one for my rogue.

So right click the macaroon button, create a new bar. After you create the bar, Right click the bar to go to bar option and turn it into a pet bar. Then select "add buttons" and add 10 buttons by scrolling up with the mouse wheel. I think there is a slide selector as well that can slide to the right to select more buttons.

For a pet bar -

- Enter bar config mode (/mac config or left-click the minimap button).
- Create a new bar (/mac create bar) or select an existing one.
- Right-click the bar to show the bar options.
- From the list of states, select "Pet".
- The bar will now have two states, "Pet" and "No Pet".
- Left-click on the bar to cycle the states until it says "Pet".
- Add the desired number of buttons for the pet bar (/mac add # or right-click the bar and choose the option "Button Count")

- At this point, Macaroon should have auto-set the pet buttons to type "pet" as they were added and they should display a unique ID while in button edit mode. However, if not then -

- Enter button edit mode (/mac edit or alt-click the mini-map button)
- Left-click on the new pet buttons until they say "Pet id:#"
- Ensure each button has a unique pet ID number. To change the number, right-click the button while in button edit mode.
- You're done!

Have you updated to the latest version of Macaroon? From your Screenshot it looks like you're using an older version.

try downloading the new version, see if it still happens.

Yes seems to be working for me (with the new versions of both)... though not with Death Knight (but that is a DrDamage issue).

Possess not working consistently

The quest where I had to get the Kodos in Borean Tundra the possess bar did not work with consistency. Half the time I had to click on the mini-map icon for it to display. I could find no pattern on when it would or wouldnt work.

You can create macros for any pet skills for which the autocast state is not something you need to track on the button (which, practically speaking, is the only difference between a pet button and a normal button). Put the skills with autocast states on one of the normal pet buttons, then put skills without autocast states, or whose autocast states you always leave off, on a couple of additional Macaroon macro buttons.
I actually tried what you suggested - in my original post I mentioned that I tried adding them to both pet and macro buttons with no joy. It seems like once a bar is defined as "pet" you can add more buttons to it but they don't do anything even if you set them as macro.

And on a side note, I still have a problem with Chess. Even with a pet bar defined and set up as soon as I enter the Chess event I have no pet bar and have to hit the edit mode and manually turn it from "no pet" to "pet".

Vehicle Issues

Ive been reading about some of the posts regarding vehicles. I also have a problem with all of the vehicle action buttons showing up. When i did the quest in Borean Tundra where you have to use a tank to exterminate some mobs and identify Kel'Thuzad, only 4 of the tanks actions showed up on my pets bar. I didnt have the button to save the injured victims or eject out of the tank. I have no clue why only 4 out of the 6 buttons would show up. I went into bar config mode to see if i have 6 slots available for the tanks actions to fit and sure enough i had enough spaces there.

I did find a way to leave the without the action button though. I right clicked the "vehicle portrait" in the upper left corner of my screen and i had the option to leave.
