Crystal UI (Aion: Tower of Eternity)

This UI is of course inspired by a very cool game called Aion: The tower of Eternity! I loved the interface that they used in the game. Everytime i watch videos of the game I think to my self man that would work so well in world of wacraft. So thats what brings me here today with this UI. This is my Ode to Aion.

Supported resolutions: 1440x900 Widescreen.

Installation:

Step one: Rename your WTF and Interface folders to WTFold and Interfaceold
Step two: Unzip the Crystal UI to either your desktop(or where ever you want to unzip the files)
Step three: Put the interface folder, WTF folder and Font folder in your world of warcraft directory (should be C:/Programs/Worldofwarcraft)
Step Four: inside the WTF folder you will see an account folder. Enter that folder and inside there you will see a folder that says ACCOUNT NAME. Rename this folder to your log in/account name. Make sure you put your account name in all caps!
Step five: Inside the ACCOUNT NAME folder you will see a server name folder. Rename this folder with your servers name.
Step six: Inside the Server Name folder there is a Character Name folder. Rename this folder with the character you wish to use this ui with.
Step seven: Log in.

When logging in for the first time: Type

/reflux switch Crystal UI

you must include the caps! very important!

Addons included:

See picture labeled addons ----->>>>

Action bars - /macaroon menu
Art - type /kgpanels config
tooltips - type /tip
unit frames - type /stuf
casting bars - type /quartz
scrolling text - type /msbt
bags - click on the green bag icon on the bags
minimap - type /chinchilla for further options. Disable the GUI so you can right click on the minimap for tracking. or enable the tracking button and delete neftracking.
experience bar - right click on it
buffs - enter interface options and choose Aura frames

If you have any questions regarding any of the above addons feel free to ask. I'll do the best I can to answer your questions. For the most part you shouldn't have to do anything upon loading the UI.

Please report any errors or issues as soon as you get them so i can correct them. Currently with the changes to 3D images I cannot use them for party, target, target of target etc because it keeps showing a full body picture. It works fine for player so i kept that 3d

9/7/08 - Fixed debuff issue. They now show properly. Also fixed Ghost/dead text on player and target unit frames. Strata on left art frame was lowered so it would not cut through the bag art.

9/7/08- Added 2 more buttons and edited the pet bar art so it would be more functional. KNOWN ISSUE <> You get an lua error when clicking on the pet portrait to retrieve pet details. It does still work. Ill be checking to find out how to fix that.

you just have to set up the main action bar as a stance bar or a paging bar. Atleast look at the mods download page and faq before you give up so easily :P If you like the ui atleast try.....

UNIX uses slashes instead of backslashes for file paths, but since the paths were formatted in both ways, I don't think this would be a problem. I am currently using an eePanels UI which I just copied from my Windows PC a while ago... Nah, it's all black and crashes almost instantly. Last edited by Amra0815 : 04-26-09 at 01:42 AM.

Your welcome to try the update i just put out. The kgpanels thing should be fixed with this update. I no longer house my art inside the kgpanels folder it is housed in the CrystalArtPack mod folder.

When I uploaded this UI a few days ago everything worked just fine. Try redownloading the UI and Do not update. If something breaks then you should update. if the interface is not loading correctly then you installed it incorrectly. U have to follow my instructions on the front page to a T. I tried updating the UI because i only had a big black Rectangle instead of my UI, but now it's semi-transparent. It's the Main HUD frame. Will submit a screen later. €: Okay, now the game crashes. Will try updating kgPanels only. - Okay, crashes fixed by updating Ace2. looks like most of the profiles didnt load. If you followed my steps on teh download page exactly then your download may be corrupted (it happens sometimes) just redownload and reinstall

i am aware of the action bar issue when entering a vehicle, i want the main bar to change but it keeps popping up the pet bar. I will fix this and have it updated shortly. Also a few small tweaks like adding an exp bar, and editing the texture so the exp bar is more readable.

you can still use a .rar on a mac you just need the right tool to open it. I suggest getting something like this because you are likey to run into .rars more than you think.
