Urban Achiever  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 15.7
by: Syzgyn, Tomate
Urban Achiever is a replacement Achievement frame.

Features
  • Search through all the achievements, statistics, and criteria in game for any term.
  • Sort achievements by name, point value, or completion date
  • Now uses the built in Tracking frame added in 3.1, with additional functionality
  • More information available with less scrolling required.
  • See how far progressed other people are in every achievement, along with the status of individual criteria.
  • Track timed achievements as they start, automatically.

Localization
All localization are now implemented:
  • English
  • French
  • Korean (Thanks to maknae & zubrik)
  • German (Thanks to ElderIlem)
  • Chinese (Thanks to stephenmarquis)
  • Russian (Thanks to osgod)
  • Spanish (Thanks to Phanx)

Known Issues

Sorting isn't working as well as I'd like.
Also you have to specificly bind a key to open the UrbanAchiever frame. It should be at the bottom of your binding menu, in the UrbanAchiever section.

Usage
/urbanachiever or /ua to toggle the options and help.

All the current /commands for the achievement frame will open the new one.

Shift-click achievements to track them, alt-click them on the tracker to remove them.

Edit: I'm dumb.

Is there a way that Urban Achiever can override the default achievement window with "y" button instead of /ua show ?

It would be automatically retracked when you re-take the quest.

- Timed achievements are now removed from the tracker after the timer ends.
What if I don't wish it to do this? I'm thinking specifically in the case of Rapid Defense where when I fail to get the achievement I can simply drop the quest and try again.

Thanks Syzgyn, both the saving of tracked achievments and the scale across sessions now work like a charm

I appologize for the slow updates, I've been really busy with the holiday season and all. I just uploaded a new version that tracks and scales the tracker correctly.

@Lywellyn: I'm not really looking at expanding the tracking into a fubar plugin.

@Nathanyel: Thats a good idea, I'll probably add an extra button to the default frame.

As I use Character Specific Key Bindings: Yay.

Ok, I for myself am able to simply hack the corresponding WTF files to edit that without having to log into all the characters I play from time to time, still it would be nice to have your frame replace the original one by default. Maybe with a button to open the original one.

Oh! That's an idea I just thought of! I originally wanted to know if achievements tracked could be placed in a quest tracker mostly because of screen space...

On that same line, would it be possible to make a FuBar plugin whose tooltip shows the achievement(s) you're tracking? Maybe make the FuBar plugin able to open the achievement frame, disable the screen tracker, etc?

I too found the tracker was not remembering what achievments I was tracking, nor what scale it was supposed to be - I implemented the code changes from Urbin below, which fixed what I was tracking, and then added the following change of my own:

in LoadTracker() add
self:scaletracker()
after Urbin's self.markLoaded = true;

All seems fine now.

Hi Syzgyn

I noticed another thing that seems to have problems with being saved across logins. If I set the zoom factor to say 0.7 the tracking list scales accordingly. If I relog, the list is scaled at 100% again. If I then type /ua, the zoom setting is still displayed as 0.7 but I need to move the slider to reapply it to the list.

It seems that TrackerUpdate() was called before LoadTracker() which then overwrote the stored data before reading it.

One work around I found is the following:

In Initialize() I added a line
self.markLoaded = false;

Then I put all of TrackerUpdate() in an if-end bracket:
if self.markLoaded then
for i=1, #self.tracker.achievements do
GLDG_Print("TrackerUpdate: updating entry "..tostring(i).." with id "..tostring(self.tracker.achievements[i]:GetID()))
self:SetTrackerAchievement(i, self.tracker.achievements[i]:GetID())
end
end

And in LoadTracker() I added a new line at the start of the function:
self.markLoaded = true

With this it works like a charm. Feel free to use this, but if you have a better way of solving this I won't mind :-)
Thanks for the code I ended up just setting the values for each button in the array as I created them, in CreateTracker()

I didn't change the keybindings for the default achievement frame. You have to go into your binding menu and set one for the new frame. Clicking the micro menu button, or using /achievement will bring up the new frame.
