nanoTalk
Version: 3.3.5-1.6.3
by: Torhal [More]

nanoTalk tracks people who send you messages and optionally informs them when you are in a conversation.

Features
  • Two configurable timeframes - one for message Tracking and one for Recent messages.
  • Messages received within the Recent timeframe are considered an active conversation.
  • Optional chat notification: When enabled, any messages from another person while you have Recent messages will inform that person that you are in a conversation and may not reply quickly.
  • Optional AFK notification: Tells people who send you a message how long you've been AFK.
  • LibDataBroker display: Shows numbers for Tracking and Recent messages. The LDB tooltip shows the names of people who have sent you a message and the length of time since they did so.
You will need an LDB-based display for this addon to work.

Request

Is it possible to show the name of the last person who whispered you next to the panel icon ? I use Broker2FuBar so it shows the nanoTalk icon on my FuBar.

And if it is possible to also show the texts of the whipsers inside the tooltip (with timestamps would be nice) it would really be an awesome addon if you go AFK for some time and don't want to miss anything whispered to you.

As you maybe noticed these are options that were included in the abandoned addon "FuBar WhisperFu" (one of the most handy pre-WotLK chat gagdets).

nanoTalk is the only addon I found so far that looks a bit like WhisperFu but it misses those features.

It was also very handy to show all whispers after you log in again with that character... I sometimes forget names of characters I talked to after I switch to another character myself (if I want to help them with some profession for example) and that way I could always find the names back .

Fixed in 1.5.1 - that's what I get for hand-rolling changes into a second copy of the file. Shouldn't happen again.

Gah. Sorry to make you go through all that over a simple case-sensitivity issue. Fixed in 1.5

At first i thought it would have been conflicting with other chat mods (i have prat 3.0 and elephant atm) but now i don't know.

Nah. That's just friggin' weird, though. Try disabling every addon but nanoTalk and see if it shows the config panel. If so, enable a few at a time until it breaks.

You don't see something like this?

Code:
Conversation Timer: 2m
Tracking Timer: 30m
People to Track: 10
The line that's giving you an error is trying to compare the number of people in the tracking list against "People to Track", is why I asked about your config panel...

Ok: Does the config panel still show as being empty? What line number is the error on? (May have changed from previous version)
