CursorCastbar  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.5b
by: Duugu, humfras
CursorCastBar adds circular cast bar(s) to your mouse cursor.

Cast bar, Global Cooldown Bar, Mirror Bar, Remaining cast time, Spell Name, Spell Icon, and more.

The configuration is done via the Blizzard interface options.

TO DO (in no particular order):
  • Healing Bar - incoming heal/overheal for current cast/target
  • optional focus castbar
  • optional round spell icons
  • modifier/key to temporary hide the bars or set the opacity to very low (eg in critical situations)
  • more bar layout options (start point, end point, etc)
  • text for the mirror bar

Known Bugs:
  • Bug: Mac client crashes with high-res textures. This is known a game bug within the Mac client. It happens with large textures above 512*512 pixels.
Solution: Don't choose the high-res bar textures. Choose textures 1, 2, or 3. The game shouldn't crash with them.

Dear user

My WoW subscriptions end in may 2011. After more than six years playing WoW and developing addons I absolutely can't find a reason to continue. The direction Blizzard is steering with WoW is more than unfruitful.
The game is dead. It's an empty shell. A sad moment, but that's the way it is.

This means of course all of my addons are discontinued as from now. Thank you very much for using them and for providing me feedback and input. A very special thank you goes to the few people who donated for them. There would be much more and better stuff if more people would act like you. Thank you.

I hereby explicitly reject any attempts to continue, take over or reuse this addon, the addons source code, the contents or parts of it.
If you are willing and able to continue this addon I may grant you the right to do this if you contact me, ask for it, and convince me that you are able to do it in the long run.

Iím looking forward to meet everyone of you again in SWTOR.

All the best to you

Duugu

First of all, thx for this great addon. You have created a new kind of castbars!
But I can't monitor the cooldown of Healing Rain with an "Indicator" :s

Indicators

Are there any way to "invert" the indicators so I would know what's off CD rather than ON cd.
I'm currently using Power Auras to track Riptide, Unleash Elements, Mana Tide Totem and Nature's Swiftness on my shaman when healing, but having them on my cursor would be even better!

Interupts and a bug

First of all I have to say I really love this addon, it makes mouseover healing complete.

I have found a couple of problems, and I was wondering if the creator could fix these, or at least give pointers to where in the code the problem might be, so that i can fix it myself.

1. Interupts don't always register when showing the targets castbar. How to replicate: in a dungeon, target a spellcaster and interupt their spells while casting. Though the interupt completes, which also shows in other castbars, the bar on CursorCastbar does not stop. This has been tested for the Wind Shear interupt in a number of dungeons.

2. Being damaged by an enemy while casting a spell sometimes hides the castbar, without actually stopping the spell from being cast. This is most evident while casting a channeled spell such as Earthquake.

Thanks for a great addon!

Is the spell name spelled accurately? Spell names are case sensitive. "psychic scream" is not the same as "Psychic Scream".
Is the option "Cooldown" selected? Did you enter a cooldown length?

Question

Loving the mod so far, but it doesn't seem to work when I channel spells. Am I missing a configuration somewhere? Specifically on my Druid when I use Hurricane.

Correction, I see the castbar but then it disappears during the channel period.

Edit2: This seems to only happen in combat when something attacks me.

Thanks!

Added support for configuration profiles with 2.2

You can specify a profile for every spec. Just create a new profile, deactivate the addon in this profile (Global>Enabled) and set the spec to the new profile.

My problem is, this addon doesn't seem to remember my setting, every time I get a loading screen, be it going to instance, hearting, teleporting or whatever, all the settings are reset to default.

Do you save your custom settings to the default profile or to a new profile?

I dealt with the other problem, I have one that concerns me more, on my hunter when I cast Steady Shot or Cobra Shot, if I get Auto Shot the castbar disappears like the SS or CS was fired. Can It be fixed?

Do your changes, switch to tab "Profiles", type in "Default", and click on "Save/Create"?

Is it really that un-intuitive? Guess I'll have to change it.
