Battleground timers and other PvP features.

Features

  • All battlegrounds/arenas have start timers

Ok, i didnt think of the fact that you can capture the workshop if there is a siege engine out there already.. Damned
Why didnt they increase the yellrange... did i file to many tickets about it? ...

I meant when we start the siege.-timer with the workshop.capture event, the only sync we need is the one when the engine is destroyed and is being rebuilt.
but this logic is flawed

Thanks. You cannot assume a siege engine status based on workshop status. The mechanics will not start building another engine on workshop captured if there is a siege engine already out. Plus don't forget that once the siege engine is destroyed, there is no workshop event about rebuilding a new one.

The Arathi Basin scoring should be accurate to +/- 10 resources and +/- 1 second. Are you having problems on live or PTR? I'll check it out on PTR later.

Capping does not have its own zone map, only modifies Blizz's. Go to top left corner of your world map to see zone map options. If it's not there or doesn't work, don't blame Capping.

Map not showing up

I am using SimpleMiniMap and the zone map for Capping is not showing up at all.

Anyone know how to make it appear, I tried going into options but everything I have tried I can't get it to show up.

I think i've almost everything in there, except maybe the workshop/siege engine messages for the alliance .

Maybe you can get rid of a few sync-.messages if you dont trigger the siegeengine timer with the goblin yell but rather when the workshop is captured.

German translation seems to have changed again, the dock-messages seem to be the real ones.
And i have the feeling that the refinery was changed from "Ölraffinerie "to just "Raffinerie", i'll recheck later

Sorry, but nope. That's not really useful info to me. I remember several occasions when someone said we only need to hold 1 base to win, then most everyone just got careless and chased kills. Then we got four- or five-capped (taking forever to win or just losing). Also, if I'm losing, do I need to wait for "5 bases to win" to get off my ass? I just want to win as fast as possible, especially in AB.

I know it's weird. It's working perfectly on live server. I can't test Arathi on PTR because everybody is playing WG or IoC :/

Arathi Basin:
- Attack of a neutral node: <player's name> a pris <node's name>
- Attack of an enemy node: <player's name> a attaqué <node's name>
- Node successfully taken: <faction> s'est emparée de <node's name>
- Node defended: <player's name> a défendu <node's name>

Isle of Conquest:
- Attack of a neutral node: <player's name> a attaqué <node's name>
- Attack of an enemy node: <player's name> a attaqué <node's name>

Thanks. I'm not sure about the function change. Isle of Conquest alert messages are the same as Arathi Basin's, and "claim" is supposed to be the message for attacking a node that had no previous owner. Is Arathi Basin on live or PTR working fine for you?

Also, there is a little problem with the 'IoCAssault' function on a french client: there is only one string when a node is attacked or claimed (found with strmatch(text, assaulted)) and two when a node is defended or taken (found with strmatch(text, defended) and strmatch(text, claimed)). I tried to patch it myself:

No problem. Seems like Curse really improved. Plus I can disable comments there so I don't have to juggle sites to deal with users.

Finding out which side owns WG currently can only be done while in Northrend. Also, I do not want people to think "Oh crap, we'll have to defend in an hour...I'll just go do something else." Which side shouldn't matter.

For chat announce, in 3.2, everyone will have access to the time if they care to know.

Suggestion

I didn't know where else to put it so here it goes:

Would it be possible to add a defensive/offensive icon on the Wintergrasp timer? I.E. a small shield for defensive and two crossed swords for offensive battle.

as my second suggestion it would be nice if we could report Wintergrasp timers to guild chat etc.

and btw thanks for a great addon!
