Battleground timers and other PvP features.

Features

  • All battlegrounds/arenas have start timers
  • Ashran - Event timers, battle timer, graveyard timer
  • Alterac Valley - Node timers, auto quest turnins, and sync

Thanks for the log. Seems that they're reusing Arathi Basin text patterns, so that'll make localization easier.

Finally got to test some stuff. It seems that Alliance and Horde siege engine messages are different. Also, you have to be in range to hear the yells, which might make it unreliable .

Right now, it's hard to test Horde's workshop events since Alliance has that gate glitch to exploit.

i think you can reduce it to

its just the factionname that changes

I'll try the new ptr-built later so we'll see if we are lucky

They use more than pattern from ArathiBasin, the symbol for the bases remind me of AB as well

so here we go

A few things were translated this time (although i suspect that all of this is final ) but nevertheless here they are:

I already submitted a suggestion about the yell range. More requests might help.

There's also a yell for when the siege engine is destroyed and the mechanic starts fixing it again. Plus I need localization for "Isle of Conquest" and that yell for when repairs begin.

I'll have a release ready probably before the weekend.

Isle of Conquest = Insel der Eroberung , like i said further down.

Im not sure which pattern you use for attack/capture/defend but the refinery still uses its own message

i looks similar to the first yell i quoted, could be the alliance version or the short one that is used when the factory already changed owner a few times.

Just uploaded a new version with 3.2 support. I made some major changes, especially to localizations. I will need feedback on that since I can't really test them. Yoshimo, feel free to provide revisions for the deDE file to make sure it's complete/correct.

I think the timer for the refinery is broken for german clients until blizzard fixes the chatmessage.

Everything else seems to work very well so far

I ( Samirâ) attacked the refinery/Ölraffinerie . As you can see, no timer is shown. Either we code a workaround or wait for Blizzard to get the message right

Maybe i moved the little bg map too close to the screencorner, but "narrowmap "hides half of it

We'll have to wait for a fix for the refinery.

When your game crashes, the zone map does that for some reason. If you're crashing a lot in PTR, I believe the current workaround is to disable sound effects. However, I'll work with zone map positioning later.

It is mostly useless on the live servers now. Its not tracking timers in Eye of the Storm. Nor is it keeping track of the Wintergrasp Timer unless the toon you are on happens to be in Northrend.

At that point, I reinstalled the previous version.

Localisation has changed, so it would be useful to know your clients locale.

WG Timer should use the Blizzard-Api which until 3.2 only reports WG Time if you happen to be in northrend if i remember correctly.

The previous version kept track of wingtergrasp across toons and logins, regardless of locations (provided the timer hadn't run out). This meant I could log into an Iron Forge Mule and still know how long i had until WG started.

Also, it doesn't seem to be tracking the number of players in the BG. Eye of the Storm anyway. As I said, I went to the preivious version after that.

The Wintergrasp timer not showing up on other toons is a bug and will be fixed in the next release awaiting more bug reports. However, Eye of the Storm is working fine. Did you make sure to exit WoW before installing the new version? Files and directories were changed, therefore requiring a WoW exit.

Edit: released a fix regardless of what I said.
