Stuf Unit Frames (and Raid)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.2.101
by: totalpackage, Uitat

Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.

Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

  • Option to only show custom text on mouse-over
  • Latency indicator for player casting bar
  • Arena Frames
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icons
  • Option to use Lua instead of text patterns for advanced users
  • Option to save per character

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target
  • Target, target of target, and target of target of target
  • Focus and target of focus
  • Party with their pets and targets
  • Arena with their pets and targets (new in v3.1.005)
  • StufRaid - main raid, raid pets, and raid roles (tanks/assist) and their target and target of target (does not and will not support oRA2/CTRA MT/PT)

Notable Features:
  • Easy transition from Blizzard default frames
  • Cast bars for the main units
  • Dispellable debuff visual
  • Target and focus timer bars for your buffs/debuffs
  • Threat bars on target and focus
  • Shaman totem timers, Death Knight rune bars, and Druid mana bar
  • Low memory and CPU usage compared to popular unit frame mods
  • Customization similar to Discord Unit Frames
  • LibSharedMedia-3.0 support for textures and fonts
  • Ace3 dialog config is used for the options GUI
  • Stuf_Range - LibRangeCheck-2.0 support for estimated distance on target and focus
  • Clique support for click-casting
  • ClassColors custom class color and ConfigMode support for one-button-config
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icon skins (may be buggy)

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

PvP trinket plugin idea

I've posted on Shadoweds' comments in his trinket mod and he has said he's quite happy for me to have a hack at doing it myself for Stuf, using his code as a starter.

Personally have no spare time at the moment but will look into it in the next couple of weeks.

I'll probably need to use some of your code to make a plug-in type addon work. Would it be ok with you to use some of your code as required for this?

Cheers,
Loot

Look at the warning given to you above the position values for buffs/debuffs.

Is there any work being done to make the Buff/Debuff icons work properly. When configured they look 1 way, when they actually appear while in use they look a different way.

For example. I have 2 blocks of 8 icons 2 rows each above my target frame. Left block is buffs, right block is debuffs. They look fine when i'm out of combat or targetting myself. When i target a mob and put a debuff on them, the debuffs appear inside of the health bar instead of outside and above.

-- To provide some examples --
This is how it should look:
This is how it does look:

The only way to get around this it seems is by pushing the debuffs up even higher so that when they do get sucked down into the health bar they have a high enough offset to still be visible.

Thanks again for a wonderful addon Totalpackage!

Don't know why exp bar has to be a UF feature. Most bar mods handles it (and they should) as well as several standalone mods.

Is there a way to disable raid pets? Also can you add support for http://www.wowinterface.com/download...?id=15501#info?

Currently the timers appear behind the buff icon instead of overlapping them.
If you don't want the pet header to show, "Disable" it. I only support OmniCC; any other cooldown text mod will have to use the standards OmniCC uses to be compatible with Stuf.

Edit: Also noticed that when people die, their raid frame uses the backdrop color (set to class for me atm) instead of the bar color (dark class color). This way it's quite hard to see who's dead as their bar is full (showing their class color)....
In StufRaid, when some dies or goes offline, they become "Inactive." That's a keyword when configuring. If you don't want header text, just put in a space for "Label Text".

@ all the VisualHeal problems, just revert back to previous version or disable it. I do not use it and currently cannot test it.

Trinket support

Any chance of putting in support for trinket usage? Similar to what Shadowed has done?

http://www.wowinterface.com/download...FTrinkets.html

I'm guessing no, does anyone feel like programming it themselves?

Visual Healing... Whenever I cast Prayer of healing it shows that I'm healing everyone for like a million (it reaches the maximum amount visible). Also seems to happen to a lesser extent with binding heal.

Total shot in the dark here, but could it be possible that the library is being used incorrectly, ie, it returns the total amount everyone will be healed, and then visual heal is displaying that total for each player? For example, if i cast binding heal on player A, and it will heal me for 5 and him for 8, then visual heal shows me healing myself for 13 and A for 13.

Again, I could be wrong. just a guess. Anyways, pretty irritating bug.

Thanks for any advice

I'm not sure whether this is a Stuf problem or not but whenever I do the Gunship Battle in ICC, both the alliance and horde ships healthbars do not show up. Is there an option I have not enabled or could it be another mod conflicting? I am using DBM but other people using DBM are not experiencing this issue.
I have no idea when boss target frames are suppose to show. If it should be showing, make sure it's configured to show. By default, it's a small frame.

Interestingly enough, this happened to me today on one account I play on, but not the other.

Tried everything I could, but no dice.
The only thing I did to VisualHeal was update the libraries. Try playing with its options. Also, if you can, test to see if other releases of LibHealComm-4.0 works.

Not possible with Stuf.
