Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.

Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

How to Use:

Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
3. Left-click.
4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
StufRaid:
- Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
- Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
- Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):

No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
Switching frames when in vehicle
Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:

You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.
You cannot select "Set Focus" from the right-click menu. Make a "/focus" macro instead.
3D model showing full body instead of face cannot be fixed. (fixed in 5.0!)

I to, use the feature and love it! (I want to say I was the one that originally requested it >.>) In any case I just kept the Stuf_Incomming heals folder from the last version that had it, and it works just fine. If at some point it gets borked... then it shouldn't be terribly hard to get it to work... I hope.

I understand if totalpackage doesn't want to continue to directly support it, but if it's ok with him, we could use what he's already done with it as a foundation. Just a thought.

While I'm here and commenting... is there anyways to have the raid frames go from left to right, instead of right to left.

currently it's set to grouping... 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1.

I'd like it to group.... 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8.

Beyond that I love how everything is positioned, and haven't moved it because when I do the other frames don't move with it. I seem to be too clumsy to handle that on my own. Did I miss the lock frames together option, and am just blind?

I actually did use and like the IncomingHeals compatibility and I now miss it. Even when soloing or duoing as e.g. a druid, I like to have a visual indicator of how much healing I'm likely to get from the spell underway and that can vary dramatically as a percentage of my health depending on whether or not I'm wearing my tanking gear. I'm not adding anything like this due to performance reasons (both CPU and memory). The database will always be incomplete and/or out-of-date. If you want an idea of what's needed, research UnitGUID.

Well, I was bored, and there was much arena action on PTR. Only minor adjustments were needed to implement it into Stuf. However, I had a hard time coming up with a default setup, so much tweaking will be necessary on the user side.

I believe griffin224 is correct about this. It's similar to why face mode sometimes show full body. The only workaround that I know is to make a database of mobs for which this occur, and then adjust the model accordingly. I'm definitely not going to do this. That happens with mobs not in the model database. I only know that from using MazzleUI, then ZmobDB. But I personally have no idea how to fix/update it. Maybe TP can give us a better idea of what to do or how to let him know so the models can be updated.

At the moment I'm trying out Gladius to show the arena unit frames. It works, but looks completely out of place on my screen.

P.S. BTW, I was using Pitbull 3, and then the so called optimized Pitbull 4 in beta...and now use your addon due to the significant reduction in memory and CPU hit. You're doing a great job.

I was thinking about adding this during early development, but I realized that the mouse-wheel nudger is simple, quick, and more common (not just for position and other mods use this method). I was used to the DUF nudger, but I moved on. For character settings, there's instructions in the addon description.

The above quote caught my eye because I am a mouseover healer for years and I am having problems with the "Use" effect of Living Ice Crystals. I have tried:

/cast [target=mouseover,help,exists] Living Ice Crystals

It does not work.

So I figured it was hard coded to only work with my target so something like this might work:
/target [mouseover]
/use living ice crystals
/targetlasttarget

but [mouseover] is not a valid argument.

I am hoping from your comment you may have a way to do it.

Also, there is no way to create saved variables using only Stuf or StufRaid, however there is a very handy addon called Reflux (search for it here) that can handle profiling for Stuf and StufRaid perfectly.
