StufRaid default layout
Stuf Unit Frames   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.

Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:
  • Option to only show custom text on mouse-over
  • Latency indicator for player casting bar
  • Stuf_VisualHeal (you need to delete old Stuf_IncomingHeals)
  • Arena Frames
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icons

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

3.2.007 11/06/2009:
- added support for 3.3 LFG role icons to player, target, and party
- load class specific elements only when necessary
- fix enemy units showing up as neutral when player is in vehicle

Well, i downloaded tekErr and it didn't give me a single error report when i tried to move them around. And I'm in the middle of Orgrimmar, using the "Config Mode" only. And it's only Party2-4 that bugs like this, no other frame else.

Sounds like something that would throw a script error. Make sure that you either enable showing LUA errors or have an addon that displays them. If so and you get no errors, what exactly happened to cause this error? You join a party? You start a party? You join a raid? Are you in combat? Etc.

Hmm... the latest version made my Party-frames go nuts. Party1 works as intended, but Party2-4 bugs. They gets trapped at the bottom of the screen and i can't move them back to place.

I initially thought you meant pets in general. You got a point for vehicles. Try out the latest version.

May be that normal from addon point of view, but for game it is not very good. There are many quests where you need to use pets and Malygos is raid event, so it's not good when you can't play it for full and need to guess how much power you have atm. Is there any chance to change that behavior ? I tried many other unit addons and they don't have such issue.

That's normal for pet. Every unit except player's is driven by events. If the power is updating slowly, then you're probably getting power slowly.

Slow pet power update

Tried this unit mod and like it very much so far. Although got issue on Malygos - when I'm on drake pet power update very slow. Is it possible to fix that ?

Use Aura Timers for your own buffs/debuffs. Constantly changing scale/size and position in combat is very CPU heavy.

For the range coloring, people are picky when it comes to color. I cannot just make something red or yellow. Also, I do not want to add 4-5 color settings just for the range text.

I will change "-" to "~". Good idea.

Check the time text's font color and change the alpha/opacity. That's how many elements are hidden. Also, make sure the width is big enough to fit the text.

I'm confused about the "Time Text" option under buffs and debuffs for certain frames, like Target for example.

Is this suppose to display some sort of duration countdown for the buffs/debuffs or what exactly does this option do, because I play around with the settings but it seems like no matter what I change nothing happens.

It would be neat if there was some sort of countdown display for buffs/debuffs, besides the aura timer bars since IMO those take up too much room.

So what exactly am I doing wrong, and what does the option "Time Text" even do under buffs/debuffs, with all of its sub-options?

The range is based on the size of your screen and UI scale settings. Useful for someone who wants frames on one side of the screen and buffs on the other, wants fighting game health bars, etc. In the addon description, there's instructions on a way to nudge 1 pixel using your mousewheel.

Probably been asked before, but can you reduce the range of the sliders? One nudge on the bar moves it like 15 pixels, and I don't really see the point of having such a big range. I know there are offsets, but they aren't available for every option.

In version 3.0.027, some boolean (true/false toggle) variables may have been reset back to true. So some things that were hidden by default (player buffs, party targets, etc) may be hidden again if you enabled them. Simply enable them again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Edit: Should not happen in 3.0.028. If you didn't install or load 3.0.027, ignore the above.
