Stuf Unit Frames   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.

Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:
  • Option to only show custom text on mouse-over
  • Latency indicator for player casting bar
  • Stuf_VisualHeal (you need to delete old Stuf_IncomingHeals)
  • Arena Frames
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icons
  • Option to use Lua instead of text patterns for advanced users
  • Option to save per character

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target
  • Target, target of target, and target of target of target
  • Focus and target of focus
  • Party with their pets and targets
  • Arena with their pets and targets (new in v3.1.005)
  • StufRaid - main raid, raid pets, and raid roles (tanks/assist) and their target and target of target (does not and will not support oRA2/CTRA MT/PT)

Notable Features:
  • Easy transition from Blizzard default frames
  • Cast bars for the main units
  • Dispellable debuff visual
  • Target and focus timer bars for your buffs/debuffs
  • Threat bars on target and focus
  • Shaman totem timers, Death Knight rune bars, and Druid mana bar
  • Low memory and CPU usage compared to popular unit frame mods
  • Customization similar to Discord Unit Frames
  • LibSharedMedia-3.0 support for textures and fonts
  • Ace3 dialog config is used for the options GUI
  • Stuf_VisualHeal - LibHealComm-4.0 support for incoming heals for Stuf and/or StufRaid (disabled by default)
  • Stuf_Range - LibRangeCheck-2.0 support for estimated distance on target and focus
  • Clique support for click-casting
  • ClassColors custom class color and ConfigMode support for one-button-config
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icon skins

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

I.
love.
that.
option.

After a great deal of time spent fiddling with options and everything, and after all frames are configured properly this is a much better unitframe mod than pretty much everything I've put a great deal of time into configuring. Its great how it is - just like you mentioned, various global options or choices to override a global option are really nice additions. The mod itself doesn't need them to be functional at all, it just removes tedium that comes with setting every single option.

The scaling and movement is crazy though. The frames are drag-able but when you let go of the mouse button they seem to default to some type of anchor and move themselves there.

I along with the previous poster would love more global options or something. And honestly, its not a "pitbull" users type issue; I've used everything from Stellar, Ag_UF, Discord, Pitbull, etc... many of those frames implemented something that removed extraneous tedium.

Also, is there any reason that positioning a scaled-up frame becomes impossible to do with mouse dragging? When I scale frames up I have to try and get the frame into the general area I want it in then move it into place with the X/Y adjustments.
I put in the highlighter to help with quick tweaks, but to really reduce the issues you're having, I would have to make Stuf layout-based (something most UF mods are nowadays). Layout-based makes elements depend on other elements. This also forces users to use a preset layout, download another, or make one of their own editing a text file. In Stuf, every element is independent of each other except to the base frame, which gives much freedom in customization.

I just mentioned Pitbull cause its users think it's superior in general and would only want more, nothing specific.

Please let me what should be made into a global option. I would make a whole lot of things global for myself, but I have to consider what the users MIGHT want. I also tried to reduce the tedium by making most units copy each other's settings, which I thought many people would not like.

Anyway, I haven't tested the combination of scaling and dragging, so I'll look into that. I have some idea already.

I spent quite a long time configuring it to match the look & feel of my previous PitBull setup, and I could come up with something similar fairly easy. I did not find anything that I wanted to configure but couldn't.

To me this addon seems to be "feature complete". The only thing I would expand is the ability to set certain common features globally for all frames, e.g. the font face (I cannot give more examples, but I will think about it).
Heh, I was going to quote in the addon description, "Pitbull users should move along." Thanks for the kind words.

I did think about what I should or should not make as a global option. Users may want the font of the names different from the font of the numbers, or even different fonts between big frames and small frames. Some fonts are great for large sizes but are hard to read for tiny text, for example. I didn't want to add a restriction that would later be requested to be removed.

You can already see all debuffs (up to the max of 40 if you want) and is already configurable. Harwel was discussing the dispel icon, which only shows one debuff at a time that only pops up on friendly units if you can remove it. As of now, it works for Paladins, Priests, Shaman, Druids, and Mages. I'm now planning to add Warlocks.

I made the default layout in Stuf to be identical to that in StellarUF. Everything works and looks the same until you look at the options menu. Let me know if something is missing.

Sometimes I like to bark at people who are falling down on the job. Honestly though, this request is more for on my wife's behalf; it barely affects me since my main is a Paladin and I can cure most things and can usually spare a GCD for a cleanse or two even while tanking (which is what I do 99.9% of the time). I hadn't noticed the color type on the normal debuff icons though.

Looking forward to the Clique fix, and thanks for the responses.

Blah, I did add Clique support, but I guess the frames need to have a name. Should be fixed in the latest version (same version number, though).

Anyways, as to profile support. I do believe it'd be wasted with the implementation of the reset button.
I've just tested mods with built-in Visual Heal and the standalone version of VisualHeal. I recommend the standalone. Also, Visual Heal may only be useful to some, and its resource requirements does not seem worth it for just the few who'll use it. Of course, Stuf does have developer support if someone wants to write a separate mod for it.

If so, I would love an option to see debuff visuals regardless of whether they are curable by you or not. Maybe I just overlooked an option though.

Great frames though, best I have seen post-3.0 so far.
