Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.



Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:
  • New for 3.3: LFG icons and Boss frames (only for certain encounters)
  • Option to only show custom text on mouse-over
  • Latency indicator for player casting bar
  • Arena Frames
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icons
  • Option to use Lua instead of text patterns for advanced users
  • Option to save per character


Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target
  • Target, target of target, and target of target of target
  • Focus and target of focus
  • Party with their pets and targets
  • Arena with their pets and targets (new in v3.1.005)
  • StufRaid - main raid, raid pets, and raid roles (tanks/assist) and their target and target of target (does not and will not support oRA2/CTRA MT/PT)

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.
  • You cannot select "Set Focus" from the right-click menu. Make a "/focus" macro instead.
  • 3D model showing full body instead of face cannot be fixed. (fixed in 5.0!)

what are the things around the auras, debuffs and buffs.
how do i get rid of them? they're useless and cluttering up my UI by adding a z-dimensional.
also, why don't you offer any support for Masque with your auras?

Was hoping for an update to include the interactive Demonic Gateway icons available (as of now) only on default unitframes. Just looking for convenience when canceling the gateway is needed, as you can do through the games default unitframes. I've been looking for workarounds but haven't been able to locate anything.

Also, It would be great to have an option under the player>shardbar panel to toggle the demonic fury bar's numeric value on and off instead of just mouseover.

When in combat/targeted for harm an extra border pops up around my character frame. Where can I find this in the settings so that I may customize it?

any1 else having party frame issues or know where or what i can do about this? they aren't showing for some reason, if i enter config mode they pop up but don't stay (unless i'm in combat but then all thing are on including the test buff/debuff cons etc.)

I'm talking about that. What you say is weird because when this happened first time (in The Jade Forest during lorewalker quests) I disabled Bartender first, no improvement. Then ACB, no improvement and when I finally disabled stuf it appeared... Thanks for that addon, I will try it out immediately!

Aren't you talking about the extra action button? If so, that's action bars, not unit frames. Check out BEAB (better extra action button) addon and that might get it back for you.

Issue with Data tags

Hi,

I am currently using your add-on for a number of frames, namely:

Player
Target
Focus
Target of Target
Target of Focus

I have this issue where some of the data elements are not loaded, but instead the text contained in the element instead.

For example Player --> Text 1 I currently have in the text pattern field [name]

Now pre panda this used to load my characters name, but now about 70%+ of the time it just displays the actual text name.

In the Text 5 field i have [perchp]% but again it usually just shows perchp%

I usually get around this issue by reloading my ui multiple times until it works, but as soon as I enter an instance and the screen reloads I am back to the same old problems. This often means before we engage raid bosses i have to reload several times (it's pretty hard to tank the stone guard without knowing the name of the mob im targeting).

I have ensured that the add-on is upto date, so I don't believe this to be the issue.

If you need more information please let me know.

Thanks for your time looking at this and providing an awesome add-on which I have used now for a very long time without issue.

Any idea why I'm missing some 'new' action skill buttons during certain encounters?

I'm talking about those buttons that are supposedly come to lower middle of your screen (above default cast bar I think) when you have, let's say, the hammer during Hoptallus fight in the brewery instance. I can see the counter (how many are killed out of 40), but can't see the button to smash the bunnies during the Hoptallus encounter and I found it to be an issue with unit frames, yet I can't find what makes it hidden.

Chi, Shadow orb etc

Would it be possible to enable the chi orbs, shadow orbs...etc bar to be flipped. so i can have the orbs above the unit frame without looking out of place?
