Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.



Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

  • New for 3.3: LFG icons and Boss frames (only for certain encounters)
  • Option to only show custom text on mouse-over
  • Latency indicator for player casting bar
  • Arena Frames
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icons
  • Option to use Lua instead of text patterns for advanced users

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target
  • Target, target of target, and target of target of target

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.
  • You cannot select "Set Focus" from the right-click menu. Make a "/focus" macro instead.
  • 3D model showing full body instead of face cannot be fixed. (fixed in 5.0!)

So far liking this addon alot, but since usually I'm healing would prefer that the interface wouldn't change from heroics to raids.

Is there anyway to force raid frames even on party?

Nope. Either make your party frames look like your raid frames or use Grid for that feature.

Loving the addition of raid frames, they're awesome!

I have it so raid frames are always "full" (in terms of class color) and deplete when health is lost. When a player dies, instead of looking completely empty (showing only the background, which is black) I see a full health bar with the text "dead" or "ghost". I must be doing something wrong, but what? More specifically, how can I get the frame to show an empty health bar (just the background) when the player is dead/ghost?

Also, what are Alert Frames I see? I can't see the difference between those and debuffs.

Preferably I'd like to have "ghost", "dead", and "d/c" be a different color than the missing HP value, is this possible?

I know it's very grid-esque, but what about showing the power bar if it's mana only? I don't really care how much rage/energy my dps has, but I want to know how much mana my healers have.

Play with the "Full Value if Inactive" and/or "Fill on Loss" options.

Debuffs is mainly for support classes for curing purposes. Alerts can be buffs or debuffs to get your attention (has WSG flag, is immuned, etc). For healers, alert icons can be used to decide if you should heal more or heal less (heal more on Mortal Strike, heal less/none if immuned).

Non-mana power are not updated and shown as empty, but does take space and lets you know which type of power that unit has. I'm not going to adjust all the other elements and decide how to cover that empty spot if not mana. If you do not want to see that, just play with the power bar or power type colors.

Okay Total, either I'm a dumb broad or the "Full Value if Inactive" option really doesn't exist. Between every trash pull and wipe last night I was feverishly looking for it, but to no avail.

This is really my only issue with StufRaid; as a MT and the raid leader I need dead players to be painfully obvious. Right now, when a player dies their hp bar fills up to full (if it's a dead warrior, they will have a full brown frame) and the word "dead" is printed under their name. At a quick glance, it appears that this warrior is alive because I cannot see the black background of his frame which would indicate to me that all of his life is gone. Perhaps the Full Value if Inactive option will be my savior, but I'm also thinking that maybe I should just restore defaults and start from scratch with these frames since I'm getting the feeling that I screwed up somewhere.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Under the raid menu there is a sub-menu for Health Bar, in the menu on the right for that is an option for Vertical Orientation, Reverse Direction, and Fill On Loss, check Reverse Direction and Fill On Loss and it should give you the effect you are looking for.

hi i found some sort of bug

i have SCT addon, when i go to Addons panel, when i click Stuf, Stuf become inside the SCT addon tree

can you put a countdown timer on DK Runes pls
BBFFUU rune order too pls

Not a bug; that's my hack to make Ace3 Config load-on-demand friendly. No timer text or order change for Runes since most people rely on rhythm. Use one of the several standalone Runes mods.

Hi! Can you add something like a [druidmana] text tag please - for showing amount of druid mana when shapeshifted ?..

And if possible change the way IncomingHeals work. Rather than showing a text%, show it as an alpha-fill on healthbar.
