FAQ
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bar) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins?
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

Slash controls?

Can't find one, but I would like to know if there is a bartender slash command to load bartender configurations? For example, let's say I have a special configuration that I only use when in a vehicle, which moves bar 1 all the way to the bottom of the screen and hides all other bars except the vehicle bar. It would be nice to be able to type

/bt4 load Vehicle_Config

to load that configuration, and then

/bt4 load <Character's normal config>

to go back when leaving the vehicle.

Alternately, maybe you could set up a way to have a bar move under certain conditions (For example, entering vehicle, move vehicle bar down 2 inches) and move back when those conditions are no longer met?

I think, this answer will explain you the core idea behind Bartender.

It shouldn't. Bartender does not invent new UI elements, it merely dissect original Blizzard UI, allowing you to rearrange it to your liking.

It seems, like a comment was removed, and that person found the orr issue, but to help those having the same issue:

Code:
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("That's a '" .. GetMouseFocus():GetName() .. "' frame, man!")
Best work with macro assigned to a key (or placed to a bar with assigned key).

On my paladin, the stance bar is behaving rather oddly.

The bar is 7 buttons wide, padding of 4, scale of 1.1, single row placed -134X -489Y, central vertically, UI scale of 0.64.

now, the 5 buttons on the right _ _ X X X X X are fine, it's the buttons marked _ _ where the issue lies. The left most one will
only respond to mouseover, if you highlight the very bottom edge, nothing else, the second one, again, bottom edge, but will also
respond to the right most edge being mouse-over'd.

| XX XX XX XX XX
__ __| XX XX XX XX XX

Sorta how it looks in game ><

It's almost like theres something over the top of it, but i have removed all addons, and the behaviour still persists.

If I move the bare away from this position, the buttons mouseover as intended ><

Try to reproduce it with only Bartender loaded.
If it is still an issue - reset profile, resetup it and try again.
I don't have anything similar to that, and i'm using quite alot of aggons with Bartender.

On a more serious note - go to "System Menu -> Interface -> Action Bars" and enable bars you have shown enabled in Bartender.
Bars are:
6
5
3
_4

Don't use Bar2 as visible bartender bar, if you don't want to scratch your head more often than it is intended.
Ah, you beat me to it.

But yes, after some attempts on trying to replicate the bar swap problem I kept facing I found out it was a just a bar swap shortcut (shift + mouse wheel).

Re: Issue with 3.2

I have attempted to recreate this error, these are the steps I took.

Using a freshly installed, and updated Computer with Windows XP PRO x86.
I installed the most up to date video card, hd sound card, mother board, gigabit lan drivers. I then installed Direct X10, and then installed WoW. With no other add-ons downloaded or installed. I downloaded Bartender 4, and installed it into the Add Ons directory. I checked that is registered from within the character select screen, and had to use the [X] Enable Out of date option.

I then logged into WoW. I did no configuration at all, I did not move, relocate, or change any options with Bartender. I opened the talents window, and changed to my offspec. At this time the stance bar, and about 6-8 pixels deep of the top of the gray default bar shows up at the bottom of the screen in the default location. I was wondering if this is a known issue, and if the Designer, or any user has found a work around for this issue other than /reload ui which seems to be the only way to correct for this.

Thank you for your time and assistance with this matter.

I have this exact same issue, except for me, its the rep bar, the xp bar that show up accross the entire array of buttons at the bottom. (the xp and rep bars from DEFAULT ui).

sometimes on spec changes, I will also get some ghost buttons from the default UI from teh stance bar. I wonder if there's some scheduling on stance change in bartender4 that's causing this. And yes, reload ui always fixes the ghosts.

I can still press the hotkeys, but I can't figure out any way to make them actually SHOW UP.
Check bar anchoring. Click "Center Versically/Horisontally" as last resort.

Question Show/hide two bars together

Hi, everyone!
Can any one help me with 1 command?
It is necessary to make, that two right bars (bar3 and bar4) were displayed/disappeared simultaneously at prompting of a mouse on any of them.
Is this real?
